I wonder whether part of the settlement'll be that they have to change their name to Fox Entertainment...
Assuming there is a settlement. A big reason to settle is to not get to this point, indeed to not even get to discovery that yielded those now infamous communications between Fox broadcast stars expressing [admittedly understandable] contempt and disdain for the base to whom they pander.

Edit: That's just for Fox's part. Fox may offer to settle and Dominion may decline. I think Dominion is more likely to accept the right offer than Fox is to make it, which is a confusing thought.

Thanks. Perhaps I should've added a disclaimer to the bottom of my previous post.

The opinions expressed herein are supposed to be a dumb joke and are not intended to convey any legal position on behalf of the party of the first part in reference to the party of the second part... etc etc

Well, apparently jury selection in Dominion v. Fox is nearly complete. If purported settlement talks indeed took place, they were unable to forestall this. Of course a settlement may be reached at any point during the trial that involved parties agree on terms.

In similar news, election workers that received threats due to false allegations by conservative conspiracy trap Gateway Pundit are apparently seeking redress.

Aaaaand I'm not quite sure if "Stop the Steal" organizer Ali Alexander soliciting boys for pictures of their genitalia is substantively "2020 election" news.

I don’t know if the feeling is still the same, but original reports were that Dominion had no intention of settling and want Fox to pay the full amount for the damage they’ve caused to the company.

Should've made them sweat it out in trial:

Edit: $787.5 million. Not certain if there are stipulations other than that sum.

While it seems Dominion had a compelling case, a jury determination of actual malice was never guaranteed and, as indicated above, dirty laundry was certainly aired even if the connie bitch base doesn't care.

Any figure awarded by the jury, including the $1.6 billion Dominion was seeking, would have been subject to appeal, as would any ruling and even any precedent under which the suit was brought.

I'm assuming Lindell outright owns the company without a board or anything to answer to. What an absolutely idiotic thing to wager given he has self-admitted the company is bleeding dry.

And the guy who proved him wrong was a two-time Trump voter.

Imagine throwing away your entire franchise because you hold a few nutty, useless, and vapor-driven ideals so dear to your heart, because you don't understand how to use a shovel to dig yourself out of your own nonsense.

In case it wasn't clear I meant @Groundfish's account (R.I.P.). I'm fine with your sticking it to Trumpism in general as long as you like.
Oh, I know. Of course it was fun posting what aged so horribly, but it would have been more fun had the user not been banned.

One man's freedom fighter is another's seditious conspiracist, or rather a lot of other people's.

Had they conceded they lost and handed over power like civilised people there'd be no need for this thread.

Dan Crenshaw may also look piratical but he appears to draw the line at sedition. Maybe he and Rhodes could get involved in a swashbuckling cutlass battle on the deck of the sinking ship that is modern American conservatism.
