The latest set of Hagerty's (Legend dealer) price adjustments, part of the 1.38 update, was 3 months later than expected (this one was promised back in June), and for at least one car, it's a more-than-double doozy. As of the initial post (12:42 pm CDT 9/28/2023), I don't have solid information on the 13 cars that neither have new engines/new bodies available for purchase nor are sources for engine swaps, though one (the 1998 Mercedes-Benz CLK-LM) will be going up in price on its next appearance as it freshly gained an up-arrow after the 1.38 update. As of 6:20 pm CST 12/18/2023, all cars have been priced.

The price of a particular car is set to twice that of a new engine and 0.8 times that of a new body. For cars that are donors for engine swaps but do not have a new engine/new body available, the same formula applies, though first the 100,000-Cr. premium for installation has to be removed.

The full chart is behind the spoiler, but here are the cars that (pending the 13 1 car for which a price cannot be estimated, which gained an up arrow during the update) will be changing/have changed prices on their next (post-1.38) appearances in Hagerty's (last updated 6:20 CST 12/18/2023):

The next set of Hagerty's price adjustments is scheduled for January 2024. Even assuming PD makes that, that means the quarterly updates that lasted through 2022 are now history.

Apparently Lawrence Stroll owns the only original 330 P4, so maybe he called up PD/Hagerty's and whined that his car wasn't worth enough.

He sold it.

For the 10th contest held in England on the Brands Hatch circuit, the three P4s were converted to Spyders and received minor aero modifications. Two of them were subsequently converted into Can-Am racers whereas chassis number 0856 was spared and survives to this day. It changed owners throughout the years and is now one of the most expensive historic race cars in the world. It was purchased by Canadian billionaire and Aston Martin shareholder Lawrence Stroll in 2000 for around $9 million and was reportedly sold again last year but no details about this deal have been made public.

I grab 3 of the 330P before it sold out but its such a amazing car I don't mind its now 20M.👍

My worry is now the F1 GTR 95 I really hope it doesn't go up from 12.5M.

😬

OP updated with the return of the 1997 BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car, which went up in price by 2,600,000 Cr. (thanks for the bad news, @Chikane_GTR).

Thanks for posting great work. It’s a shame these prices don’t apply if you want to sell one. You get about 29% of the value of P4 in the used car dealership 🙁

@Eggstor The McLaren F1 GTR 97 race car is up for sale and its now 14M up from 11.4M.
So the update provided us with three new races that pay nearly nothing and a day later increase the price of a car by nearly 3 million. I wonder how PD think people play their game. I assume they either don’t want people to experience all of the games content or it’s another push to sell credits.

Can anyone that purchased the P4 at the lower 9.5mil price confirm how much it sells for in the UCD since the 100%+ increase? I was assuming it may be possible to sell it for a profit if appraised at least 50% off the current 20mil price.

It's nowhere near the other 20,000,000-Cr. unicorns, but it has jumped from 4,744,780 Cr. last week to 5,790,630 Cr. this morning.

The R92CP got its price reverted to the original value?
Indeed it has.

With that return to the original price, and pending the 11 cars we don't have info on (the CLK-LM is getting an unspecified price increase, and is already above its introduction price), we have:
  • 41 cars (36 confirmed) that are more expensive now than when they were introduced
  • 30 cars (25 confirmed) that are the same price as when they were introduced
  • 8 cars (7 confirmed) that are cheaper now than when they were introduced

OP updated with the fact that the 1986 Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 Evolution 2 will not be changing in price - it was in a normal Hagerty's slot before the update and did not gain an arrow afterward. That leaves 11 cars unpriced, with the 1998 Mercedes-Benz CLK-LM getting an unspecified price increase on its next appearance.

OP updated with the return of the 1989 Mercedes-Benz Sauber Mercedes C9, which had a price of increase of 500,000 Cr. to 3,500,000 Cr. (thanks, @nicothedude). That leaves 9 cars unpriced.

That leaves 9 cars unpriced.

Should it be 8 cars instead? If I’m not mistaken, the Celica Rally Car recently went out of stock with no change in price, and it seemed to be back in stock after the update, which would suggest it reflects the adjustments already.

Thanks for the effort as always, @Eggstor . If only PD would make the Sauber C9 available in 2.2M credits for even once, like all other Group C cars…

Good catch. OP updated with that.

OP updated with the return (as a Special Pick) of the 1988 McLaren MP4/4, which did not change in price. That leaves 7 cars for which post-1.38 prices are unavailable.

Edit - corrected the percent increase as I forgot to do that last night.

Turned out that the quattro S1 is for Cr. 1,900,000, not Cr. 2,100,000.
Good catch. It turns out I forgot to subtract the 100,000-Cr. installation fee before doubling the engine price to get the Audi's estimate. D'oh!

OP corrected with that.

(Quite) a new player here; just out of curiosity i clicked on the top up your in game credits with real money option last night. The highest bundle you can buy is 2 million Cr. for £15.99.

Obviously I’m sure you’re all already aware of this but yeah, if you wanted to buy this 20m credits car the easy way it’d cost you £160 in real money. Wow, haha!
