I just tried to join and got a network type error. I'll see if I can get some ports opened to get nat type 2, but I also have an ALMS race tonight.

You ran that 38.698 and I told Brandon I did not think we would see a 38.6

So I am now saying to myself. You gotta step it up. So adjust a few things come and run a 38.692 then 38.677

Next thing I know Aceboy put up a 38.667

I tried like mad to beat that. F
Got a 38.669 only .002 off.

So as it stands ACEBOY has fast lap for the week at 38.667

Fast laps need official to be present to count.
I just turned a 38.590 in your practice room, but it's just a matter of depleting fuel during an extended practice session.

The 38.698 I ran the other night was during a mock-qualifying run, either on lap 2 or 3 of a 4-lap stint out of pit road with a full tank of fuel.

Hope to get on in about an hour if possible. I'll pm you when I know what time for sure.

Owens is there a chance I can forfit my time and do a new quali session?

Tomorrow is bump day. Surely Brandon would allow a maybe lower half of field to try again. Maybe lock top 5. We are starting three wide. So lock in top 5 then rest can be bumped tomorrow via a second session. Top person earns a spot on the second row.

Kinda gives the fastest guy tomorrow an extra something. ;)

How many qualified so far?

Brandon should have the OP updated soon of not already. Also having him check my precious idea and see if he can make something work.

OP has been updated with the latest Qualifying results.

I'm fine with Jav doing another run tomorrow.

I say we lock in the top 6 so the first 2 rows are locked in by the guys who made an effort to qualify during the week. The bottom 10 spots can be available to be bumped if somebody sets a faster time. I'm not sure how many people will show up for bump day to defend their times, but it would be fun to see a flurry of last chance qualifying runs.

So everybody outside of the top 6 can have 1 more run and if you don't do another run you will be lined up by the time you set earlier in the week. You will be lined up according to the fastest of your 2 times, so no penalty if you do another run and it's slower. 👍

Sound good?

Copy/paste error?

I have to the blame. When typing it over. I was thinking 38's from another one.

I dropped the ball. However I had sent Brandon a pic of the charted time. ;) he gas corrected. Sorry. Jav however was down 50 HP. So maybe he will drop a second.

Also the idea sounds great. Top 6 locked Rest are have something to worry about. ;)

Thank You all for taking the time on such a short notice pending the PSN incident and making this race happen.

Very excited to see how tomorrows bump day shakes out. I know several racers will indeed improve their times.

It's takes a special kind of racer to commit over 2hrs in a grueling game of chess at 240+mph. You are elites.

+1 to all that /\ This is going to be a different race than most of us are used to in that it will be less about who is fastest and more about who has the best combination of skill, strategy and luck. The draft is rather crazy and is going to create possibilites for several different strategies.

We will have a room open for Bump Day Qualifying by 11:00 am EDT (GMT-4). The top 6 drivers have been locked into place and positions 7-16 are "on the bubble" so to speak. Everybody outside of the top 6 is allowed one more qualifying run to see if they can improve their position, if they don't do another run they will be gridded according to their time from earlier in the week.

The following 6 drivers are locked into the top 6 spots for tomorrow's Indy 500. Congratulations to LVracerGT on securing Pole Position!

1. LVracerGT

2. CheezeBurger57

3. cc570

4. Aceboy127

5. Droptop2001GT

6. OwensRacing

We'll see you on track for Bump Day! Tomorrow we will open a room at 12:00pm EDT for 1 hour of final practice and the race will start at approx. 1:00pm EDT.

With damage on heavy, it's very important that everyone use extra special care not to run over other cars in the draft. One single accident will greatly damage your car, and your chance to win.

It is a really good idea to get some practice races in with cars on the track. The draft mentioned is to be respected.

I found the damage to be very frustrating, one little tap with another car or the wall and you're damaged. But, I was able to drive 25 laps last night with a damaged right front and didn't suffer in my lap times, so it has to be damage on at least 2 corners (or engine) to make you pit.

Bump Day room is now open. Everybody not in the top 6 can have one more qualifying run.

Room Name: ASRA Indy500 Bump Day
