Since this race is on Sunday I may have to drop out. My Ferrari F1 is at the same time. whoops, lol. For some reason I was thinking Saturday night, not Sunday at noon.

Rich, wish you could make it. You def top tier racer. Maybe delay the F1 race? ;) get your guys to enter and try for a shot at the 14 positions. As you can tell we really are regretful to lose you.

Sorry, that was a typo on JT's time. I've adjusted it. I'm also hoping we can get some more people qualified, I'd at least like to have a full grid. Maybe we'll have a lot of people show up on Saturday, if that's the case we might make a minor adjustment to the Bump Day format. At this point it doesn't look like we'll have enough drivers for a shorter race on Saturday, which is fine.

I should be able to open a room for Qualifying runs tonight between approx 4:30pm-6:30pm EDT, if I'm not on your friends list yet send an invite to BrandonW77 on PSN. Owens might have a room open before that, depending on his schedule.

I have an open lobby running for Qualifying right now, should be open for a couple hours.

Room title: Indy 500 Qualify ASRA
Room #: 1472-6399-8880-0162

Or add me on PSN: BrandonW77

Qualifying room is closed for now but Owens said he'll be opening a new one in a little bit.

I believe the OP is up to date. If I'm missing anyone let me know and I will get them posted.

I was thinking about joining this but I've been having some bad connection issues.

My best offline lap is 38.5 but online it's 38.9 and that's only after a few laps in the 39.1/2 range. Interesting loss of nearly half a second!

The only changes I've made to the car are to extend the top speed of the gears to 261 MPH and to remove all the downforce I can. What else should I do to gain speed?

Set toe and camber to zero.

Hope no one minds if I go off-topic in this thread, but I remember there was a bit of discussion as to the possibility of having a meetup of :gtplanet: members during the weekend of the race. I've posted up a thread here so that maybe we can discuss this further and get things organized. :)

As for the race, how many have done their Qualifying runs so far and what are the current rankings?

Ditto.

Oh and I may suggest PMing all those who are on the registration list but havent qualified yet. Or at least the ones who havent posted here since they registered. They may have forgotten. Just my two cents.

If anyone needs to Qualify post up here and I will open the room.

Will prob open one in a bit anyway.

Next scheduled session for me is 7pm EST Friday. Hope to get the final participants qualified tomorrow.

PM's have been sent out to several people, hopefully we can get some more qualified today and tomorrow. If we don't get more than 16 total qualifiers though we probably won't have a need for bump day since everybody will be in.

Hope to see more of you on track tonight! I think Owens and I would like to do a mini practice race so we can all get a feel for what it's like to be in traffic and use the draft. Maybe 30 laps or so, we could possibly squeeze that in this evening or sometime tomorrow.

Seen you in practice this week. Defiantly want to get you qualified.

Josh, we are sorry you will miss the race. Have fun and be safe at the concert. Appreciate the interest. Keep an eye out for the next ASRA event!!!

Yes, they sure are! Alex Tagliani fastest so far at 228.327mph so far. Nothing better than being able to watch live Indy practice while I'm at work! (and the boss is gone the rest of the day!)

Thought you guys might get a kick out of this, here's how I was setup yesterday during our qualifying runs: GT5, GTPlanet, and live Indy practice! What more could a guy ask for? :)

They should bring back the ol' champ cars with the turbo charged engines.....242 mph, FTW.... Modern day Indy Cars are pussy cars made for girls.....;) I'm out. Ferrari F1.
