The presence of a hatch has nothing to do with whether or not a car is a coupe, much less a proper one. I also don't see how a coupe without a hatch is worthless.

In any case, the Eclipse is actually a liftback.

I have a 2dr. with a "trunk" and it's worthless... the opening is that small. Therefore all coupes that only have a trunk opening are worthless.

I personally loathe the new Eclipse. It's one of those shapes that only looks good in two colors. Red and Black. Plus, it looks like it's trying to vomit. I also don't care for the Altima coupe either. Why not get a used Z instead?

I'll agree from head on in the rear the ass looks bad because the lines look random but the rest of the time it's a nice looking car.

Sure, the front is dull, but the ass end of the ordeal is purely gorgeous in real life. I'm not sure what it is about this picture, but it makes the rear end seem much chunkier. I hate it as a car, but, oh, What A Butt!

trust me my uncle has one and it is a terrible excuse for a high performance affordable sports car.
interior is really bland
in stock form the front bumper is just flat with a few curves
the rear lights and boot have bad angles

call me biased but my dad bought an rx-8 and that is 20X nicer all around

the 350 feels heavier and less responsive.......no steering feel
acceleration in the 350 (people bag the RX-8 for not having enough torque) with a 3+ litre engine is sluggish

interior of the mazda is incredible and comes stock with great features

people say the 350 has a pleasing tone but i think its bland and generic just like everything else on the car.

the whole car it's just like they tried to build upon basic simplicity but screwed everything up.

Come to think of it, you're right, but the seperate headlamps were the worst feature for the longest time. I'm surprised they didn't cover them for a nicer effect. But, it was probably easier to repair one single headlamp than to replace an entire assembly.
