the "just plain ugly" car thread

I knew someone that owned a Voyeger of this year range when I was little, I recall my father having to fix it a few times. I think it's possible I just grew to hate the styling due to seeing it a lot. Well that, and I never liked the styling of the 80s chrysler cars tbh; they just seemed mostly bland with the exception of the Daytona and Shelby Powered ones.

It had it's moments, but it was pretty reliable. I really do miss it. Most of their cars yes were boring and meh, but this served it's purpose really well, much better than the later generations in my opinion. It rode SOOOOO smooth.

Here another odd Honda wagon-
Honda Fit/Jazz Shutte

The C-pillar is just odd and weird.

It reminds me of this:

Except it doesn't work on the Honda. The Fit has never been a pretty car, though.

Honda needs to stop making wagons of every damn car they make. The Civic is okay. It works. Everything else is as appealing as a Nissan Murano.

The Multipla might not be a looker, but it's a damn practical vehicle and has a pretty clever interior design.
Same could be said of the Pontiac Aztek, I sat in one for the LOLZ when they were brand new and the interior had some neat features in it.

Beautiful? What? :scared:

I find something really satisfying about the way that form entirely follows function in its design, and yet it doesn't just look like a generic van.

Mark my words, it will go down as a design classic as time goes by. Remember what Morris said about the Beetle?

👍 It's got a lot of neat styling touches. It's not pretty to me, but it is interesting to look at.

Indeed.

It already has a place in the New York Museum of Modern Art. So...

I don't think this car is one of the best selling cars ever though, unlike the Beetle.

I love the Elgrand! Best looking van to me. :D Of course...that's "best looking van." The US variation is so much worse though. The current Quest...

Damn you beat me to it LOL
Yup, I saw it and went for it.

and I remember the dreadful first time I saw one of these. In the racing sim for the PS2; Enthusia. The car selection for that game was awesome, but I wish Konami put a different type of car other than this eyesour.

Damn I wish hideo would make another enthusia in next gen graphics using the same engine they're using for metal gear phantom pain. That would be epic.

One of the weirder vehicles to try, for sure. Over 2000kg, RWD, with an automatic, and IIRC it's taller than any other SUV/van in the game.

I wouldn't mind seeing another Enthusia. Although probably with a better Career mode style.

I'm not that big on Minivans, so I'll probably not try it.

Ugh, here's a ford I actually don't like at all. The Ford Fairmont has to be one of the dullest fords of all time. For crying out loud, the headlights, the grille, and not to mention that it looks like it was designed with a ruler.

The B-pillar looks so out of proportion compared to the front end... The rear end from this angle looks as if it was just chopped off of another car. :yuck:

New Infiniti's aren't all that common around here. But when I saw the JX.... :ill:
