the "just plain ugly" car thread

You have terrible taste.
No slash, you have terrible taste.

I know it's crappy, but:

They actually don't look too bad in person. I've seen several around here before.
I had a regular customer @ a autoparts store I worked at that had one. I think they are ugly as heck. Plus heavy slow and pointless.

I agree they are no means pretty but they aren't as bad as people make them out to be. They aren't too slow with the 5.3L V8 either.

That's all because of aerodynamics. Every single line and crease has a job to do, make the car stay on the ground at 200+ mph.
That doesn't mean it looks good...

Take the Lovefab NSX:

Styled with aerodynamics in mind. Doesn't make it a looker does it?

I was just saying the lines there had a reason to be there. I think cars look good when they look like they're "sculpted with air". It makes them look smooth, aggressive, and over all very good.

They styled it with airflow, but they let it dictate the entire thing. That wouldn't be bad, but then they tried to style it a bit. Didn't turn out too well.

It's not my fault you only like old boxy American cars.

I think they done the design quite well. I like how the front lights echo the McLaren logo and how the rear is black with a big exhaust and lights on the edge of the body. He side intake makes the car look amazingly futuristic and not terrible.

The front, middle and back look like they're off three very different cars. The way the c pillar drops back onto the engine bay looks horrible IMO.

That's enough off topic I think. If you want to continue discussing style, you can do that on my profile wall. (Just dont give me 100 alerts >.> )

Why I find it ugly? Well; pointy grill, ugly front bumper, and it has those pointy stye turning lights I don't like. I never understood the appeal to that at all. Blehh.
