I think Viper will have the edge at the begining of the season, but Corvette should catch up by summer.
BMW is also bringing out a new car right?

I believe he's referring to rumors stating that the ACO and/or possibly competitors were upset that the Z4 is essentially a Silhoutte race car and not an actual GT, given it's extremely exaggerated fenders and V8 engine.

I believe there are forces wanting BMW to produce a race car based on something that's closer to a road car. Was only a rumor and haven't heard much of it since.

How the Z4 even gets away with its crazy body and "no longer in production" engine that is not offered on the road car surprises me.

Since the Z4 GT3 came out I always thought it would be cool if BMW built a wider, fixed-roof, V8 powered Z4 for homologation but I guess no dice.

I can see how it's possible, just because he's rich doesn't mean he wants to put every lat dime into racing. It's similar to when Branson had an F1 team, if he really wanted to, Virgin could have had the biggest budget on the grid, granted I think he just wanted to say he owned an F1 team at some point in time so the budget was minimal.

^ This a thousand times, I was one of those that though Virgin could be a fast team from the start, that was before I started reading that Branson wasn't planning to put too much money into and see it only be slightly more than HRT in the first year...I knew it wouldn't be too good. Dempsey I feel is doing the same thing spending with in reason, but not planning to do it forever.
