Seem's like it bro!

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't curious about this 'Perfect American Hot-Dog' that y'all talk about.
Especially as I'm a big fan of things like sauerkraut, chilli, and the other toppings that are usually agrued about amongst officianadoes of the 'Dog'

And a 'Banger' comes from the 2nd world war (or Dubyu Dubyu 2! You know these translations are done for free! Honest! )

The meat rationing forced the butchers to put more fat into the sausages they made. When they were cooked, more likely than not, they burst open, and because the 'skins' used were not as thin then, they tended to go with a bang!

Oh, the History lessons are free too!

My first visit to London I stopped in at a wonderful pub for a bite and ordered the special; Bangers & Mash. I asked the beautiful busty bar maid what "bangers" are, she said, "sausages, luv." Never forget that meal, nor that barmaid.... memories ... still, over here, nothing beats a Hummel brand hot dog. Am I right people?

Yer car has a big mouth and only one nostril, so it must suck!

As Neil said that's my wife's car, but I really do love driving it, has to be the most fun car I've ever owned, although my '70 Chevelle is fun and fast but only in a straight line , the Mini loves corners, but my wife drives like an old lady cause she is:)

He isn't out of the hospital, and he's looking to be put back in :)
calling his wife old ? LOL ... I take it she doesn't read any of these post there Andy !

He already placed his dog above/before her in an earlier post--though I'd do the same, and my wife puts her horse and dog before me and isn't afraid to say so!

Here's mine, though it looks a bit different now. If you look closely, you can see the little old man :sly:

You're a man after my own heart!!! Good wives are hard to come by, but a good dog will always come first (and no, my wife doesn't read my posts...I don't think). My dog has never come home with a $300.00 pair of shoes, and has never asked me to drink less or smoke less :) and most importantly my dog doesn't invite his mother to come stay with us!!!

OK Joe, what comment do you have on this car:)

Ah, this-a one, she's-a got the classic show up-a in-a your rear-a view mirror, on-a your bumper, I'm-a gonna kick-a your you-know-what-a look!

That's my weekend car, and I also show it alot, have many best of show trophies. Frame off resto, with a new Crate 350, Holley 4 barrel, Hurst 4 on the floor, 373 posi 12 bolt rear, and a bit of a cam. Engine balanced and blueprinted with the Holley blueprinted to the engine by a Nascar mechanic. Handles like a stagecoach around corners!

The only real Detroit muscle I ever owned was a late 70s Camaro, that wasn't a good time for them, but I was just out of high school and didn't know any better . . .

But my brother-in-law had a really hot Duster (just like Homer's), with a six-pack and all, and he used to take me out and we'd drive the Interstate for like 60 miles or so and never drop below the ton, that was always the goal! He let me drive it once or twice, I was about 13 or 14 at the time. I remember him busting my balls for not being able to shift fast enough! But I got him back by taking $20 off of him by beatin' the pants off him in a 200 yard drag race up my street with my 125 DKW motocross bike!

Hey Neil,Milan-Liverpool 2:1.:(

The match was worse than the scoreline or the treatmant of the 'pool fans!
I was very unhappy at the 2-1 score, but the way the greek police treated fans who had valid tickets for the game (turning them away from the gates, and then tear-gassing and battoning them when they didn't want to go)
THAT, really upset me!
Admittedly, there were a number of 'pool fans that managed to get into the ground without tickets, but the ticket allocation was 70:30 for Millan! WTF?

To turn fans away who had valid tickets is disgusting, especially as some paid over £1300 for four tickets, that were to be picked up at the ticket office of the ground, and the tickets never turned up!
And, when they just wanted an explanation for being turned away, AND were NOT being aggressive about it, to be gassed and attacked with riot gear! For god's sake, there were kids as young as ten years old amongst them!

It was a complete farce! From start to finish. :grumpy:

I reckon everyone has gone on vacation (holiday). I've got to stick around and get a pergola built. Neil, I see you're here, staying in for Bank Holiday?

Hey guys!

Yeah, I'm staying here for the long weekend too. Can I buy you all a round? :)

Neil, my brother is a huge soccer fan, used to play semi-pro here in US. He told me that had Liverpool faced Man U, well, security would have been trippled and the organizers were somewhat relieved that it didn't end up that way. He told me about the travesty that was the Milan-Liverpool match. Very bad indeed.

Phil

Yeah, I'm here for the weekend, inc the Bank Holiday Monday.

Just finished watching the bikes, drinking copious amounts of Guinness and Murphy's, and counceling my best mate through what is gonna be a messy divorce.

Up side?
He bought most of the beer!👍
Down-side?
Got a head 'size of an elephant' moment going on, and still haven't done quali for the LMS!👎

Hey, that's life!
I know!
Take two aspirin, and get drivin, you wuss!

Neil

W'HOO!

My display problems are solved!

New York reverse is as clear as a bell, so is Hong Kong.

I'll post a pic of my new setup later, it's slightly mind boggling.

What display/monitor did you end up getting? I had a friend of mine take a few digital pics of my setup yesterday (Monday) and should have them up very soon. Glad your problem is solved 👍

I was the very greatful recipient of a very generous wedding gift, from a very good friend.

An LG 26" HD-ready LCD TV/monitor!

Which is now in pride of place on my work/play station desk.

I know there are a lot of verys in that first sentence, but that's the way it is. :)

Pics to follow.

Bad pic, I know. But taken in evening, with bad light and mobile phone cam.
Better ones on tomoz!

Neil

lol, I guess from what I see, there's nothing better then a cold beer after a hard day of racing, huh?

Now't better!

Before, during, or after! lol

The only things missing from the pic are the coffee machine and the reclining chair I sit in.

I keep the fridge filled with Guinness (of course), Murphy's and Stella. Oh and the misses gets to put chocolate in there too (if there's room that is)

Neil

Nice fridge Neil! 👍 Is that a glass door? Very nice.

Well, I managed to convince a friend of mine over Memorial Day weekend to finally take a few pics of my setup. I posted the pics on the "Steering Wheels & Racing Cockpits" section. Here is the link: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=95086

A mid-life crisis in the making? Perhaps. You be the judge. But hella fun racing.

Very nice setup ERacer. I'm so ghetto in comparison I'm ashamed

But one day I would like to have a cockpit half as good as that

I'd like to have Neil's fridge. 👍 My cockpit has a cup-holder on each side, but I still need to go upstairs to the kitchen for a refill. :D

I stopped OLR and GT4 for a couple of months now, but still log in from time to time and quickly check what's going on here at GTP.
I saw the request from Neil to have this thread stickied, which sounds fine to me, so here it is. Stickied.

Thanks Buddy!:)

And yes the fridge has a glass door, so I can check stock-levels at a glance. 👍

It's very handy (pun intended):D

Neil

I like those slippers Neil .. looks like you only use the right foot though .. is there a method in your madness ?

Nah!

The left one's tucked to the side.
Can't wear 'em to race, the sole is too thick.

I have a dedicated set of 'driving slippers' that have very thin soles so I can feel the pedels.

But the Homer one's are very comfortable too!

👍 👍

I wasn't sure if this would be a "goer" or not when it first came out, but I'm glad it's been so popular. It's a great place to hang out. Thanks Neil.
👍

Joe

I'm Just glad to provide a place we 'Long Racer's' can gather and chew the fat!

That's all I wanted!
