This was a rant tbh,I'm not saying "Look people we've got new DLC!" :P
5EU are equal to 7$,and since the salary in my country doesn't pay in neither of them,it's 7$ to me
The scenery change is not worth the price tag tho'

It was only 5 USD

Yea I was hoping the newer tracks would have either weather or day/night or both. But it has big variations,so it feels like its more than one track. So I guess that can justify the price.

Really like the lights on the scion version.I saw one of those driving down the street today I was like :embarrassed:!! lol

Believe me,I am a die-hard Gran Turismo fan, otherwise I wouldn't be on this forums in the first place :) the paint chips are really nice, but they shouldn't be lost each time you paint your bloody car!If I want a matte black car then I have to buy a Lexus LFA,but if I want black matte rims with that, another LFA to the garage! That's 700.000 game credits for a full matte black car
GT5 has some strange design choices, but those are what make it special! And in order to keep this game alive and the fans happy,Kaz really needs to work his ass off.The competition is getting stronger and stronger day by day,and a track every 5 months(also with a new car which is ALREADY in the game) is not gonna do anything!👎

While I see your point about the paint, the fact that some paint and some cars are rare is exactly what appeals to collectors. Honestly, if you need Matte Black or Matt Black (the Lexus version), I'll will send you five every day you need them.

You didn't get my point,anyways...

Did you read the rest of the comments?
Anyway 5 euros are the equivalent of 7$ here in EU that's why I said 7 :) doesn't make a difference tho'

Wait, so the track cost 5 euro? Why do video games and accessories always cost more in Europe? Europe should complain.

No, I did. I just don't think you understand that if you give everyone access to all the paint with no cost of any kind, it stops being collectible. There is a reason that Honus Wagner's tobacco card is worth half a million dollars. If everyone had it or could get it easily, it wouldn't be worth squat. You see the GT world through your eyes and you are entitled to your opinion, however, you should spend at least as much time considering everything else as you do your own visceral reaction to the DLC.

Edit: Showing my age, I suppose. Honus Wagner's card was worth half a mil back when I was collecting cards. Last sold for $1.2 million.

Giving direct access?nope
Losing your paint instantly when u paint a car?No that bothers me
Anyway the paints are really really good though, and that's pretty cool :)
My silver chromed Audi R8 always makes me pop a stiffy xD

4 pounds is nothing - I could not care for car-based DLC - I want more tracks, and this delivers - so I'm happy.

True,5 euros aren't much, but in order for me to get the track,I have to get a 50EU network card,an by the time the next DLC is up(usually 10-15 decades)I will have already spent that money, and I need a new PSN card :) I could've bought 2 brand new games,or 4-5 used ones for that much money, and they're a lot more worth it than some GT Tracks :)

Perhaps you should be more prudent with you money - save some for GT5!!! :)

Listen, from PD's team of 150 or so people, not 100% are working on GT Academy
Also, really, how hard should be for a PD programmer to set a bunch of events and select a bunch of cars to put in an online dealership?EASY WORK!
Stop using that as an excuse!Different people program the events, different people do the car/track modelling
I don't want to sound like a Forza fanboy(never owned an XBox in my life),but they've managed to create a free roam game, with double the premium cars that GT5 has in less than 2 years!Kaz needs to get his **** together, ask Sony for some funds(since they're one of their most important devs)and hire more people to make this game(or GT6) complete, cuz this is just intolerable

No but hundred of them are probably working on the next instalment of Gran Turismo. This isn't Turn 10 with 300+ staff working in many different countries and possibly not including outsourced work. You will not find 10 cars a month or what ridiculous number Turn 10 are pumping them out at 'most of them where probably done when the game was released'.

It's a methodical approach, but in the end the proof is in the pudding and PD have gone out of their way to future proof their designs so that come the next gen, it really is just copy and paste. Its less efficient in the short term, but I like that most of the time they don't compromise style quality for quantity 'thats not saying that Forza models are any worse on current consoles'.

Oh and you'd probably find that PD would already have amassed a much larger portfolio of premium cars. Its not like they're sitting on their arse, they're just not interested in putting them up for sale. I agree to an extent. I do not want to pay $100 for a bunch of cars i'll probably get with the next game in a year or two's time.

Yeah, the lights are less dim than the 86. :D And, there's no licence plate on the Scion! :P

Listen,as I previously said before,If we get any kind of announcement about GT6 then I would gladly shut the F up  but Kaz is becoming lazy, and that's the cold ass truth
PD could've saved a lot more money(65.000.000$ to make this game, thats like buying 73 Bugatti Veyrons)if it hired more people to work on this game and it's nowhere near justifying that price!I mean, for a game that took so long to complete and with a monstrous budget,it's really not that satisfying. It's also funny that you mention copy paste, since 78%of the GT5 cars are from GT PSP

AJNS73, I think your avatar being Senna's helmet shows your age well enough.

IDK, the movie revived Senna's name. A lot of band-wagoners out there. I can honestly say I followed Senna when he was racing, hated Prost (for no logical reason), and cried the day he hit the wall in Imola. I've watched a lot of racing over the years of many different kinds (including those ridiculous big rigs). I still have never seen anyone do what Senna could without the benefit of modern technology in some inferior cars. Don't even get me started about what a magician he was in the rain (Bastard race officials in Monaco. He needed only until they got back to the water to win that race.)

Obligatory, relevant comment: All of Senna's cars including his cart should be in the next DLC pack. ;)

You know Senna's cars from 1990 until the end of 1993 where the most technically advanced F1 cars ever.

Having not read the whole thread (Mostly based on the fact im lazy) It may have already been pointed out but don't you think adding a new manufacturer into the game for 1 car would be abit daft so perhaps and this is just a shot in the dark maybe PD will add some more Scion models in future ?.

Last time I was there, $5 was barely enough to get a decent meal (burger, fries, coke) at McDonald's. Compared to that, two tracks and three variations of one of those tracks, along with a free car seems like a pretty good deal to me.

Let's not let cynicism get in the way of fact.

Like Standard cars?

$5 can get you:

large pizza (little caesars)
taco bell big box (4 items + drink)
KFC box (2 chicken pieces + 2 sides + drink)

$5 can also get you:

20 piece chicken mcnuggets
5 double cheeseburgers

or..

10 tacos (jack in the box)

dude what are you smoking? i can feed myself for days with 5 bucks

but. not to belabor the point I just bought this myself. if you guys cant float 5 dollars for the game you love, go ask mommy

A track that was in GT4 and the same car with different badges?

For $5? What?

I'm gonna buy me a $5 footlong.

Shut up, now I'm hungry

I think the price for the track is pretty acceptable, not the best rendition of Motegi and a bit off when compared to iRacing's laser scan but for 5 bucks it's close enough!
Now the car... I wonder who's in charge and what process is used for assigning their soud samples to cars? The Sport and Semi-Racing exhaust on the FR-S turn the car into a V6 and the Racing exhaust turns it into an angry hair dryer! How much does the person in charge actually knows about cars? I think they just look at the car and go "oh look at the pretty car, I think it should sound like this" without even looking at the specs of the car! They really really have some crappy quality control over at PD when it comes to cars!

It's funny you mention that. Even Kaz said there would be no "New" cars added to GT5.
