It's funny you mention that. Even Kaz said there would be no "New" cars added to GT5.

There goes the new NSX.

or FIA GT1 cars (which I wouldn't be surprised is coming).

If he said this a couple of months ago:

The V12 Vantage.
The Aventador.
The Beetle.

Blitz24
Can't please people it seems. They demand for things then complain when they get a track that was one of the most requested AND complain about a car that they get FOR FREE.

But you're not getting a free car, you are getting a free badge. To say this is even close to a new car is a bit ridiculous.

Loving the track though, lots of fun. The oval is pretty decent as well. The car is free, so really I can't complain.

$5 can get you:

large pizza (little caesars)
taco bell big box (4 items + drink)
KFC box (2 chicken pieces + 2 sides + drink)

$5 can also get you:

20 piece chicken mcnuggets
5 double cheeseburgers

or..

10 tacos (jack in the box)

dude what are you smoking? i can feed myself for days with 5 bucks

but. not to belabor the point I just bought this myself. if you guys cant float 5 dollars for the game you love, go ask mommy

And I would be dropping that off at the toilet a few hours later. As for the new DLC, I will be driving on Motegi for awhile. Using the Scion... not so much, but it was free. I guess that would be the toy in my kids meal. lol

Oh,but we're getting the Scion for free, which is the exact same thing as the 86 GT.

Not really. The Scion is actually a good thing for the people who live in countries that drive on the left side of the road. Since the Scion is the NA market version of the 86, that means it (provided PD models the seating positions correctly) might be easier for the left hand drivers to drive, as it might be awkward for them to drive on the right.

It doesn't matter really, but for that reason alone I'll be using the FR-S much more than the GT-86 now..

If they're working on GT6 then the lack of new content is much more acceptable
But until we hear an announcement that the game's on the way,the fans will continue getting disappointed like this :(

I didnt check the later pages to see if someone corrected u on this i just read and decided to comment on it.

But PD already confirmed there working on GT6 -.- like 2-3 months ago i do believe.

You know Senna's cars from 1990 until the end of 1993 where the most technically advanced F1 cars ever.

Not true. While Senna's McLaren was more advanced than today's cars, the Williams FW14 was more advanced than Senna's McLaren, and yet Senna still got more than half the poles and victories in '90 and '91, winning both championships.

In 92 and 93 the FW15 was better than the 14, qualifying over a second faster than it's closest competitor at almost every GP. Senna competed but only got 1 pole and 8 victories over those 2 years.
Then FIA started banning driver aids in 95.

So yes, they were more advanced, but Senna was not in the most advanced car of his day. And he did dance around the track, which was dangerous even with all the aids. And he drove in the rain as if it wasn't raining.

about this post... if anyone wants to try and argue... here ya go

http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2010/11/04/kaz-confirms-work-is-underway-on-gt6/

and i found like 10 other websites that were confirming the same thing from both Kaz talking to IGN and at the SEMA show. So id cut PD some slack.. they are working on GT6 with a small staff.

Although there using same engine as GT5 so that means it will take prob half as long as gt5 did, and most likely a ps3 game despite what people say about ps4. If it was a ps4 game they would have to remake engine most likely.

Because we have it already.

So? Your point? I'm suprized complainers are STILL complaining over something that's free to drive. And now they're saying PD is lazy and blah blah blah... WOW! I don't know what to say anymore.

I can agree with some complaints, but not all of them if they go all out with their complaints... >_> Maybe DLC was the bad choice for PD after all it seems because it just going create problems.

So,we're paying 5 euros,for a new track with no weather/time change
Oh,but we're getting the Scion for free, which is the exact same thing as the 86 GT.I wish we could get at least a single 2012/2013 car,or(as it's been said a million times)some new A-Spec events.I would gladly pay for them instead for a 7$ bland track >.>

I think the DLC is not just a fail, its a complete lack of understanding by PD, I wouldn't even say they didn't care, they got caught up in this stupid GTA competition, didn't look at Forza's CONSTANT DLC releases, and how their fans like it, and just said 'meh, lets re-skin the GT-86, and uhh, release a single track for 5 euros, that'll do'. It's ********, and I won't ever pay a cent for it.

You mean every time new DLC comes out?

 Yes I believe so

Motegi is fun,but is it enough to keep this game going?Nope. We really need a bunch of new exotic/high performance cars,or **** it,at least 5 standards upscaled to premium,I'd pay for that.Heck,I'd even pay for a GT5 Spec III update!

While it's interesting to know that you would pay for a Spec III update, I don't think this DLC needs to keep GT5 "going". It's already what, a year and half old now? They should be putting most of their focus on GT6. Which they probably are. That being said, I still would prefer having a little 'more' DLC but its not something I'm going to complain about.

I'm not saying that Motegi is a bad track! But we waited too long for just that!If he would be releasing this every two months then I would shut the **** up and play the game
But the waiting all it does is raise hopes, and when the game disappoints, jobless people like me will bitch on GTPlanet

Again, the whole GT Academy thing is what most probably delayed(for lack of a better word:sly:) the whole 'every two months' thing. And it's kinda your own fault for raising your hopes and expectations so high. GTPlanet has enough daily complainers and whiners to put up with. As many have said before: "Expect the worst, hope for the best. Or something along those lines.

I know this entire conversation has already happened here a thousand times, but I still have to add that GT5 has had the most online update support and DLC of any PS3 game I have ever seen. I just got back into this game after several months away, and it is a fantastic racing game.

Paying for a track that should've been in the game from the start, and a replica of a Toyota 86...is a NO, i was even planning on buying the DLC until i saw the Scion and was like" This is not even worth my money"

I'm not suprised. Other Racing Games gets more and different Cars for Free.
The complainers don't Complain about a Free Car. They Complain because other Racing Games gets more and unique free cars.

I do not complain.

I hope you know that you don't pay for the car right?

If people are tired of seeing complaints, why do they come in here anyway?

The same goes for people that lost intrest in GT5.
Why come in the GT5 section of the forum?

And yet the spawn complain-thread after complain-thread.
:sly:

Now ontopic:
For me every new track is a welcome addition.

There are people on iRacing who are willing to spend well over $100 for "The 'Ring". $5 for a track and it's 4 variations isn't bad at all. However, not having day/night cycles and or weather for this OLD TRACK is bogus. It's nothing short of SONY being desperate for easy money. If this were the Hong Kong or Driving Park we had in GT4, I probably would not have bought it. Being a NASCAR fan, if this didn't include the oval, I probably would not have bought it.

Kaz was made aware via Twitter early after GT5's release that we wanted the tracks from previous GT games. They should have been giving them to us a couple at a time each month since early 2011.

By the way, I was just online, and there were a bunch of Motegi Lobbys opened. So I wanted to try the track. And now?! I doesnt work anymore! It says I can't drive the track as long I didnt purchase it from the Store!

Ok, now we got the DLC! It includes one car and one track (No, I dont see the other variations as different tracks) - awesome! :indiff:

Does this mean, we have to wait another 3-4month to get a DLC, that maaaaaaybe includes some actual content. Like new cars and old GT tracks!?

I am disappointed! :guilty:

So you mean other racing games.... Gets free DLC cars? Can you be specific please... (T_T)

My guess is the free cars are for promotional purposes and perhaps the manufacturers pay pd to put them in the game.

This is just a guess but it fits even if I'm wrong.
