Sorry Brandon, I didn't know it was classed as a streetcar, tried it last night and wanted to kill me.

Will find something else:tup:

Whoa! That's a huge difference in rubber to the pavement!

@daddyo845 That does seem to make a difference with the Camaro. It's very grippy. Plus the power band is on the high end with the 302cid motor. I think I'm going to stick with it after a few Trans-Cammer tests this afternoon.

But the Cobra can have stripes!! :P (I doubt anyone will use it though).

I realize what car he was using but he implied that he was running it on SH so I just wanted to be sure he knew we were using softer tires (present company excluded).

Also, the 69 Camaro I tested was down on power in spec form, I had to add a bit of power goodies to get it up to pace.

@BrandonW77 I find myself having to pull the power down on it as it is very easy for me to run it below the time spec, even after a few on track mistakes. I'm at 86% now and that looks pretty promising. I am also taking into consideration my nervousness in the pack will cause me a few mistakes, so I'm going to try not to dumb it down too much.

I haven't dialed the Trans Cammer in but I have driven it and I'm rather fond of it. I don't think it's technically a race car but it has a roll cage and a window net and all kinds of guages, so it qualifies. Probably needs racing brakes to be on par with the other race cars though.

I like that car, but it has a lot of torque on the gas, so I've been having trouble adjusting to driving it on such a twisty course.

I don't know, I can't keep the GT 40's straight. There's one with a blue/orange livery and a big number on the side that's definitely a race car.

That's the only reason I think I have stayed away from those cars. I think the Camaro's lack of vicious power is going to make it easier to control on this tiny track. I would have a definite disadvantage at a place like Indy Road Course against those cars however.

Have you added power parts to the Camaro before you dialed it back? There's no way it would be under the target time in stock form, especially with the power at 86%. I had to add some power to it just to get it close to the stock Challenger. IIRC the Camaro is about 30pp (or so) under most of the other cars so it needs beefed up. What tires are you using?

All right, saved my pennies (the payouts are so low on the early sunday drives -- excuse me, 'races' ) and got me a Challenger. It's pretty much dialed in after a quick session, though it had to be nerfed pretty heavily. A bit down on top end, though (137-138); I have to try a trimmed-out configuration on my next test to get some speed back.

I accidently left my testing room public (and neglected to set tyre limits), and it amused me to no end when some guy joined, ran a souped-up C7 on Racing Softs and barely managed to match my 1:31. :D :boggled:

I've been having a play with my recorded footage, and came up with this for you guys... hope it works :scared:!

Enjoy

That's righteous! How did you manage to get it uploaded with the music getting deleted?

I used that car stock to set the targets. :indiff: But I used cockpit view which I know is slower at this track. Try getting the camaro, it's under powered so you shouldn't have to nerf it.

Thanks guys,

@BrandonW77 I have no idea , I think it's mostly down to the owner of the copyrighted material, YouTube identified it and notified me that it was blocked by some countries (Germany) but still allowed me to upload it.

It may not last, but hey ho. I wanted to give it a try at least...

The Camaro is my back up car at the mo, but I find it has too much grip... maybe I'll use SH's for it instead.

And surprisingly that great big tank, weighs less than that stingrays I plan on using... go figure?

I have the Pozzi Camaro Tune under construction as well. (Same colors) Luv that car but not sure I have time to get it on target.

According to the description it is/was actively used in racing so I guess it qualifies?

Snap dude, lol just been setting that up myself  I was hoping I might have been the only one looking at this car!

Mine is in a "Special" colour!!!

I think my first choice is the stingrays concept still. I have a feeling it Will be a tough challenge though.

Was trying the Chaparral, last night, only has 3 gears, this also was killi:dopey:

Good video:tup:

Clocks go back in the UK, so what time will we start:idea:

That's a very Good point John, is it just the UK or do they change in the US too?

Otherwise it will be 7:30pm in the UK, and for me that is likely to become a problem :guilty:

Just have to get my household in order, and everyone to bed early

Guys, one question: You say, that some of the cars are "killy".

By "killy", You mean, that the car is wild and oversteer (which I like the most), or a tire killer? :D

See You tomorrow guys! :dopey:

Yes that is indeed what we mean @kHamcio

Also if anyone plans on using the chaparral, you might want to do a rolling start because the chaparrals have horrible acceleration of the line. I mean the car only has 3 gears for crying out loud!

US doesn't change back for another week, so yes, it will be 7:30 pm UK time.

It might, but I will be out late tonight anyway so I would probably still miss the first race. If it effects anyone else then don't worry about it.
