I have the Pozzi Camaro Tune under construction as well. (Same colors) Luv that car but not sure I have time to get it on target.

According to the description it is/was actively used in racing so I guess it qualifies?

Both of those cars are racing cars, (speaking of the Red Devil as well) as they are used in the Auto Cross series. I know you guys are better than me with FR cars, but I would think both of those cars to be quite a bit tail happy on Laguna, because of those big high torque engines? Might test the Red Devil if I have time, seeing as how it's just a '69 Camaro on modern technology.

Hey @BrandonW77.... so what happened yesterday, Was it a Mini adventure or a Mini-tastrophe?

It was just a parking lot with cones and we got 5 single run laps (one of those was a recon lap. It was a lot less than I was hoping for but still fun. Got to see a couple cool old Mini's too.

So, what time do we officialy start today?

Just over 2.5 hours from now.

The room is open for practice. Racing will start around 3:45pm EDT.

Well, maybe it will be up eventually.

It's up now.

I'm not gonna make it, still at my parents house (30mins from home) and then have to get the kids to bed... :guilty:

Ah, I was wondering why Brandon wasn't coming back online.

He's pretty frustrated. It must be one of the servers on this end because I was having a difficult time getting synced up with the room myself and I usually don't have that much trouble. It is crazy sometimes, how bad these connections are and it's not like we are WoW or anything like that.

I was looking forward to this, too:tup: Couldn't get into the room, took along time to load, then connection to server lost:(

Had no problem with Klings room:)

Just have to wait till next Sunday now:D

You couldn't get in because the room wasn't loaded. I could see the lounge but all the controls were greyed out, all I could do was chat. And it never said "brandonw77 has entered the room". I'd watch you guys join and leave, join and leave but I never got fully loaded. I had been racing karts in another room for about an hour before that with no problems. Frustrating.

Well, more tuning time now. I'm starting to think that the Stedlow Red Devil may have some serious potential, and this gives me a little more time to explore that.

That explains that. Sometimes, I couldn't even see the room, even though I knew it was there. The one time I did get in was when it wouldn't let you go on track. None of this is contributing to my desire to buy a PS4 and GT7 when that comes out. Maybe a year after. Maybe not. 🤬

The only problem for me with buying GT7 is first finding the funds for a PS4!

The way I look at it is like this,
The exposure we have to this game, we are gonna find flaws, bugs, and frustrations. Some are worse than others, but if we don't find workarounds to them, you can bet PD are soon on the case to patch it!
The server issue today is not uncommon to any game, so as frustrating as it is... it's just one of those things in my book.

I guess the point I want to make is, I don't think any game that gets released these days is fully finished or tested, the developers have this "get out of jail" card by being able to patch/update on the fly. It's no excuse, but it's the way it is now, and I don't see anyway of changing it... not that I would want too anyway! I'd rather have a game that can be fixed over one that cannot.

And to be fair to PD, I think they have done a very honourable job on updating/fixing the last two games.

Coming full circle then, if I look at the total time I spend playing GT5 & 6, it's quite scary... we are talking thousands of hours , its not like it's through lack of choice either.
I simply keep coming back time and time again because I enjoy it. Sure racing with you guys adds to the fun, and yes there are lots of things I would like to be able to do that we still can't, but for what I get for my £45's I cannot think of a better investment (gaming wise ;) )

So when GT7 comes out, you can bet I'll be there ready for the next chapter... and tbh, I think people will be in for a pleasant surprise!!! :sly:👍

@hobbsy GT worked fairly well for months, right? Or was I just so noob I did not notice any issues :boggled:

It was fairly recently that the online issues have really become an issue. I feel it got worse after Sony was attaced by those hackers. Maybe the servers are still being bombarded by ddos attacks and Sony is just trying to cope with that?

I almost hope that is the case... Because the other option would mean that PDI has broken their online code and that's just silly...

Honestly I cannot recall, it may well have the been the updates/DLC that causes a lot of there headaches... but I'm pretty sure that there were a few problems initially, for instance when changes the wheels (not tyre) you would end up with a generic rim width, and this would effect the handling!

As regards the server issues, you probably have various software managing other software, any one of these can change independently of the others but can have a drastic effect on the overall operation...
Think along the lines of Java!!!

It wasn't until the last couple months that I started having problems getting a room to open. Strange thing is that on any random day I have no problem opening a lounge and testing/driving for an hour or two. Or joining someone else's room. But now it seems almost every Sunday and Tuesday it takes me many tries and sometimes up to 30 minutes just to get a room to open and loaded. Yesterday saw nearly an hour of me trying to open a room, and other than the one time that everyone else could join the track except me, the room wouldn't even load enough to let other people in the room. Very frustrating to put this much time into getting cars selected and dialed in just to have the game not be able to do one of its basic functions, thus rendering all that prep time useless.

Yeah, the online portion worked relatively well for me for a long time. It's only recently that I've been having issues like the 'incompatibility with room host' error I keep getting with Brandon's rooms. :boggled: Instances of visibility issues have been increasing as well, which is something I've only encountered rarely in the past but now seems to be pretty common. :yuck:

Should we try a different day/time game?

Grand idea! 💡

We'll give it another go tomorrow night and see what happens. I don't think it has anything to do with the day/time, more likely some kind of problem on my end. Up until last night I've always been able to eventually get the room loaded up, but for the last few weeks I was afraid it wasn't going to ever load and we'd have to cancel. It finally hit the fan last night.

I'm not exactly sure what is going on . I have experienced some problems but not nearly as bad as the rest of you. Although I was having issues seeing people when we ran gt300 on Suzuka. Then there was that one day where everyone was getting kicked out of rooms including hosts from their own rooms. Rarely I would not be able to join a room until I have tried to connect a few times. Other than that, the online services have been fine for me. Like I had never suffered from the tire noise glitch that many of you had issues with.
