I said there will be a surprise, and there will. Power upgrades for the next race will be available.

UPGRADES FOR NEXT RACE

You have a choice.

number 1. Sports ECU.

number 2. Sports manifold and cat.

number 3. sports intake and racing air filter.

You may only choose 1 of the above mods, and once you have carried it out set the power to 177BHP using the power limiter.

The final results of tonights race will be posted at the end of the week. I had an excellent night of racing, but it was one of the hardest races I have ever done. I have to have my 15 year old labrador put to sleep tomorrow and I need to spend time with my family this week. I thought about postponing tonights race, but due to the commitment you guys have shown I decided to go ahead. I am pleased that I did, And I want to thank you in advance for your patients. So if I am a bit quiet on here this week, you know why.:(

Totally understand :(

As for the 3 options....crafty :sly: At first I didn't think there would be any impact if we are all still at 177 bhp, but once I've had a good look.... I'm saying NOTHING!!!! 👍

So will this 'upgrade' just be added for Monza with it being a 'faster' track?

Now the cat is out of the bag, so to speak, these upgrades will be kept. There will be upgrades in the future aswell. Every 2 races you will be able to select from the remaining 2 upgrades and increase BHP by 10.

That was sad to hear. Thoughts with you and your family.

My chances to end up on the better half of the list was earliy destroyed. Just after the first bend I was jammed into a sandwich - Elise RM de luxe - sadly I was the ham...and tender enough for a teethless old man.

But I went back on track and had good battles with not4a4. Thanks! :)

Thanks Rosen, I am glad you enjoyed it. Now get your upgrades and get some practice for Monza.

@Ade: Very sorry to hear that. ... Take care.

@Rosen: That was a surprise you got there, I saw it on the replay while taking the shots for my race report. Tough luck and a cruel end to your race.

I've had a special race sort of speak.
Not being the biggest fan of the Nurb's layout and having a Jamesbee buzzzzzing 'round for 22 laps is nerve racking! We had some fantastic battles which demanded racecraft on both ends, so 👍

Also respect for every backmarker I came across with newcomer Tony doing the textbook thing of knowing your surroundings and who's coming up behind you, so 👍

Full race report in pictures to follow in the coming days.

Im lookin forward to your pics Cobani, and another win and pole for you to. Great racing from everyone. I will let the stewards sort out the incidents and post the final results this week.

Omnius and myself are already looking at this.

Update.
Jamesybograt has asked to have 2 of his points awarded to Rosen for this incident. I think that is fair.

I really appreciate the gesture, but I think Jamsey has earned his points. 👍

Next time I take a looong detour around him. :)

Monza next!

From the replay, the first incident which cost me roughly 20 seconds was the afore mentioned collision with Tony and Rosen. Tony appears to sideswipe Rosen who in turn hits me, sending me into the barrier.

The odd thing though (pictures to follow) Rosen then 'lags' and his car disappears from along side me to the middle of the track then 'lags' again making him appear in the same part of the track that Tony is on, causing Tony to then spin off.

As for the incident at the end of the race, it is like it has been explained, jamesy's car was under AI control, but if he hadn't have handbraked into a slide as he crossed the line this wouldn't have happened, that said from Rosen's view, you could see a plume of smoke well in the distance and could be argued he had time to drift over towards the middle of the stary/finish straight. Your call ade.

Onto jamesy's pit disaster. From watching the replay it looks as if the game caused the glitch. I say glitch as what happened was as jamesy and Cobani entered the pit Tont was up front by a second or so, but his pitcrew was place in between jamesy's and Cobani. So as Tony's car slowed for the turn, jamesy's car almost came to a stop before accelerating back up to pitlane speed, this allowed for Conbani's car to get to his pit crew first (as it was at the back) and was up on the jacks before jamesy's car had even turned in!

All in all you could say the new guy Tony had made quite an impact on the race, both on the track and off it!!! :sly:

Yeah, I looked at the replay and didn't understand a thing. Well, well, it's (online) racing and everything can happen. Thats history for me. :)

yeah i am sorry if i cause any trouble. i never had any practice on the track and my car wasn't set up for the track, as i dint have any time. i only found out about this half hour before race started lol. but i will be up to the mark at Monza :)

Well, here's my race report, it's pretty image heavy (although I cut the overal size to little over 1 MB), but this is my race in pictures.

Did my personal best lap with a 34.6 in quali and the usual suspects from Spa were at the front for race 2.

Great looking starting field heading towards turn 1.
SC_Race2_01.jpg

At the front all was incident free ...
SC_Race2_02.jpg

with Jamesy putting the pressure on immediately.
SC_Race2_03.jpg

From that point on we were glued together.
SC_Race2_04.jpg

Dicing around the track ...
SC_Race2_05.jpg

SC_Race2_06.jpg

Jamesy then tried to outrun his shadow so it seemed, for he was flying!
SC_Race2_07.jpg

I made every effort to keep up and try and make the pass.
SC_Race2_08.jpg

The dicing continued ...
SC_Race2_09.jpg

SC_Race2_10.jpg

The allready infamous pitstop followed ...
SC_Race2_11.jpg

SC_Race2_12.jpg

after which I decided to go for qualifying laps to try and shake my nemesis of.
SC_Race2_14.jpg

The limit is such a fine line ... I crossed it.
SC_Race2_15.jpg

Jamesy took the lead again.
SC_Race2_16.jpg

Just a pretty picture.
SC_Race2_17.jpg

I got a run on him towards the chicane ...
SC_Race2_18.jpg

and backmarkers came into play.
SC_Race2_19.jpg

A final effort trying to find a gap that wasn't there.
SC_Race2_20.jpg

So ... great race, very nerve racking and fair racing all around.

Bring on Monza, just have to find that little bit a straightline speed. (Can I borrow yours, Jamesy? :sly:)

Superb pics again Cobani, you have got the job of official photographer.Dont forget to do your upgrades and get some track time at Monza before next practice. Great nights racing, although theres still some mopping up to do.

Jamesy will NOT loose any points, Rosen will get the points he should have got. Not4a4 and trotter will get the points they won on the night.

FIRST CORNER INCIDENT

Myself, Rosen and Tony. Tony collides with Rosen...

NrburgringGP_D_22.jpg

Rosen then takes me off...

NrburgringGP_D_20.jpg

...Hold on, where's Rosen gone??? [Lag] back into the middle of the track???

NrburgringGP_D_19.jpg

Then again into Tony!

NrburgringGP_D_18.jpg

I guess the accident was one thing, but the lagging is one side of online racing that you can't police

PIT-STOP TECHNIQUE #101

The 'How-not-to' guide :sly:

Tony, Jameys & Cobani enter the pits, crews waiting...

NrburgringGP_D_16.jpg

Even though Tony had cleared the pitlane, at this point Jamey's car slows to an almost stop (8 mph) for no reason [glitch?]

NrburgringGP_D_13.jpg

At this point Jamey's car accelerates to over 20 mph?!?!? then back to pitlane speed...

NrburgringGP_D_12.jpg

The damage is done, but at this moment in the race, no-one is any the wiser! Cobani's car is just going up on it's jacks, while jameys isn't even in position...

NrburgringGP_D_11.jpg

Cobani's car is almost ready...the fresh set of rubber is on...jamesy's isn't even off!

NrburgringGP_D_8.jpg

...and there we have it, Tony and Cobani are on their way, but only one side is ready on jamesy's Lotus

NrburgringGP_D_6.jpg

It's not until Cobani is along side when jamesy's pitcrew complete...

NrburgringGP_D_5.jpg

Jamesy can only watch as Cobani steals it in the pits! :ouch:

NrburgringGP_D_4.jpg

Great pictures Omnius! Nice breakdown of the events.

Can you image the impact with this happening at Monaco ... :scared:
(We do do Monaco right? :dunce:)

:)

Good to see you getting ready for Monza, and can you also confirm your car colour, wheel colour and racing number. I am afraid you cant have number 1, and if you check the OP you can see what numbers everyone else has.

Well after viewing replays and looking at pictures, The Sunday cup race 2 results are ready. There were 12 on the grid, including 4 debuting drivers. There was controversy on the first lap and with pit stops as well as handbrake turns over the finish line. But this is motorsport, and it is unpredictable, and thats why we love it.

The first lap incident involving newcomer TONYBUK86, ROSENLUNAREN and OMNIUS was messy, with TONY taking the outside line into turn 1 and colliding with ROSEN, who in turn clipped OMNIUS and sent him off into the wall. Tony went off to, sliding across the grass. This left OMNIUS in last place, but he battled back through. OMNIUS did lose about 20 seconds for this, but as the times show, this would not have affected the final result.

ROSENLUNDAREN did have some bad luck going into his last lap with the handbrake turn incident, but as JAMESYBOGRAT ran an excellent race, and had his own misfortune in the pits, I have decided to award ROSEN with the points that he should have won, and JAMESY with the points he did win. NOT4A4 and TROTTER will also get the points they won on the night.

TONY did also decide to rejoin the track, after retiring and caused a collision with me in the last laps, which may, or may not have cost me a place, as COOPER was just behind me at the time. As TONY came last on the night, and I had not anticipated this happening there will be no penalty this time and he will pick up 1 point, but in future RETIREMENT means just that, and there will be no points awarded, and returning to the track after retiring will mean disqualification from the race and -1 point. OP updated with this information.

Thank you very much gentlemen, and dont forget to upgrade your cars for the next race. Monza here we come!!

UPGRADES FOR NEXT RACE

You have a choice.

UPGRADE OPTION 1. Sports ECU.

UPGRADE OPTION 2. Sports manifold and cat.

UPGRADE OPTION 3. Sports intake and racing air filter.

You may buy and try any of the above, but you must only install 1 of the UPGRADE OPTIONS, and once you have carried it out set the power to 177BHP using the power limiter.
(UPGRADE OPTIONS 2 and 3 include both parts listed.)

Do you want to split the difference on the points ade? 8.5 points each. I’d caught up with you after my last place on the grid but I dunno if I’d have got past you with the few laps to go!

Race pics to follow!

Thats a very noble gesture Coop, but I will leave the points as they are, but thank you very much. I really enjoy the midfield battles we seem to be getting into each week, and with 3 points between us, and the next track being Monza, it will make me that bit more hungry. It was an unfortunate incident (my collision with TONY), but it could have easily been you that hit him. Cant wait for the pics.👍

The battles should get better as it gets towards the end of the season!

Race report!

After stupidly exiting the track just before the race started I was demoted to last on the grid after just managing to out qualify ade!
NrburgringGP_D.jpg

To add insult to injury I accidently jumped the start too so watched everyone drive of into the distance!
NrburgringGP_D_1.jpg

This seemed to be the safer option after everyone dived into the first corner:
NrburgringGP_D_2.jpg

I gained a couple of places:

NrburgringGP_D_3.jpg

NrburgringGP_D_4.jpg

But omnius came off worse, the helmet hiding an angry face!

NrburgringGP_D_5.jpg

Over the next couple of laps I fought my way through the pack
NrburgringGP_D_6.jpg

And accidently missed optimoose coming up the inside on the first corner, damn lack of mirrors!

NrburgringGP_D_7.jpg

After that I managed to catch Rodger

NrburgringGP_D_8.jpg

Who I kept catching and loosing with inconsistent driving until he lost it coming into the first corner attempting to pass ade.

NrburgringGP_D_9.jpg

I couldn't tell what happened here from the replay, looked like rodger locked his brakes and lost the back end....?

Anyways that promoted me to 5th place just behind ade, I had to try and get him after just managing to out qualify him :P

A good couple of laps of me chasing ade followed with my driving being slightly questionable at times!
NrburgringGP_D_10.jpg

NrburgringGP_D_11.jpg

NrburgringGP_D_12.jpg

After the pit stop 2 cars separated me and ade, ominius joined in the race between me and ade for a good few laps until Tony caused havok!

NrburgringGP_D_14.jpg

Ade seems to have a nemesis in back markers after the Madrid mini race!

This accident gave me 4th place where I stayed until the end of the race.

NrburgringGP_D_15.jpg

Ade gave me a few worrying moments catching me until he over cooked it on the second last lap which gave me a lap to semi relax after a great race!
