So sorry about all the knocks and bumps guys, I really need to do something about my internet, but I really enjoyed racing today, so thanks everyone!! Once again I hit quite a few people so I'm sorry about that :boggled:.

Yep, it's a shame that there were connection probes for some last night.
I'm perfectly able to ruin my own race thanks PD.:ouch:
I also noticed pausing/frame rate drop.
I've not raced on user created tracks before. Do they tend to be buggy? (Last week seemed OK)
Anyway............
See you next week:tup:

Won't be able to make it tonight guys. Sorry. :banghead:

Maybe next week Sparkz :)

Do they tend to be buggy?

I haven't noticed it before, but I don't think I've raced on one with 9 people before. Hopefully it was just PSN having an off day, I really don't want Bongo's to be messed about. One bright side was Paul managed to teleport straight through my car without having to go to the bother of putting an overtake on me. Physically present cars can be such a nuisance when you're wanting to chase the leader and the guy in front is a rolling road block

Right chaps........ I've done some testing, and have discovered that the proposition to use other cars, namely the Nissan GT-R '07, and the Mercedes SLS '10 (thanks Tarn) is a perfectly workable one. With that in mind the cars have now been allocated for next week.

The allocations do not strictly follow Championship standings, because not everyone has done the same number of races. Instead they are dictated by individual driver's average finishing positions in all the races they have completed, a more accurate indicator of outright speed.

There are 4 Aston Drivers, Jammy, Aaroh, Harsk and me, 3 Nissan drivers, Qken, Paul and Tarn, and 3 Mercedes drivers, Russ Jordie and Jocke. Anyone who has not yet completed a race will drive the Nissan to start and be allocated an appropriate car after the first race.

In addition to this I've been considering the race format. I might be wrong, but it strikes me that we would get more intense racing if we had three races of 15-20 minute duration, one with normal depletion, one with fast depletion and one with very fast depletion, instead of the two race format we have at the moment. The field seems to get quite strung out during the longer race.

PLEASE GIVE FEEDBACK REGARDING THE ABOVE ISSUE, IT'S AN IMPORTANT POINT AND I'D LIKE TO KNOW WHAT YOU THINK.

Cheers, Zo.

They may be back, we'll have to see how this goes.

Cheers, Zo.
Okay Zo.

Look, I don't know if I'm able to attend the next round, as it is my birthday and I don't want to ruin my birthday with a round loss, as I said before. We'll see. I may change my mind.

Don't ruin your birthday with a fear of losing.
Enjoy performing well & don't be frustrated if events don't go your way. Nobody can expect to win every race.
Have a good birthday & if you enjoy playing GT even half as much as it seems you do, you can't go wrong with a positive attitude.

3 x 15-20 min ok and I'm ok also with fuel/tires consumption setting - should be intresting and hopefully some pit stop strategy comes along at least last race.

If I remember right GT6 has at least two Willow Springs tracks - so which one we're using next week?

Zo, you might want to change this...
...Those named above will use that car for both races, however...

Nobody messes with Zo's bongos!

I have a special button on my wheel that allows this. It takes a few laps to recharge though.

I'm all for the shorter race format because I agree it would be more intense. How about qualy for first race, finishing order for second and reverse grid for the last?

Yes, yes I do eat my tyres
They don't count to your 5 a day. You'll need some fruit and veg as well.

That looks like a good idea to me Paul.

If anyone objects, please let me know (by PM if you wish) and we'll stick with the original plan. I know some people don't like reverse grids.

Cheers, Zo.

But we're still allocating the cars between races, right?
Good if we'll do only one quali.

Yep, cars allocated on a race by race basis.

It's very much like the BTCC format

BTCC, aren't they the rooms that usually have the word 'Dirty' in the title

Only joking Paul. Ironically, I used to love watching the BTCC in the days of Cleland etc. Boxing on four wheels.

Cheers, Zo.

My Cars for the next race Day

Thanks Zo, you seem to be putting a lot of time and thought into this championship.
You'll get no objections from me.
👍👍

Okay fellas, it looks like we're set for the three race thing and, if qualifying is a potential source of trouble, I think I'll sack that and just go for practice/fastest first for the first race, finishing position for the second race, and reverse grid for the third.

I'm looking forward to seeing how that all works out.

Cheers, Zo.

The other benefits from not having qualifying is that if anyone is late they can still join at the last moment. Or if anyone has connection problems they can also rejoin.

I'm looking forward to seeing how that all works out.
