I don't think that could be interpret clearly as 2009 release.

That is apparent. As soon as they posted that I asked "when is the end of their fiscal year?" Sure enough, their fiscal year ends in March.

Everyone mark my words- Japan release of GT5 will be in March, US and Europe will recive GT5 at least a month earlier than that.

I hope for December so I can get the game for free (I love Santa:tup:)

Another thought- If GT5 is released on March 1st in Japan, GT5 could be released in US/EU in Dec 2009 and the term 4th quarter would still hold true.

Fiscal year where I come from is July, has to do with the gov money being spent ;)

I quit holding my breath about gt5 release a year ago and tbh probably won't even buy the game if and when it is released.

good news though, Shift is pretty o.k. :D

But fair enough, if that was the printed material referred there 👍

There are certain things that JORDAN has access to that you and I DO NOT need to see in order to determine if GTPlanet is a credible source of information. Who do you/we think you/we are? Gimme a break. Do you/we honestly expect JORDAN to post the document he received just so he can "prove it"? FRACK NO.

Hail to Jordon if he knows more then he lets on, personally I don't think so seeing as Kaz has always been a 'words before facts' kinda guy.

No offence intended.

OT I know but I agree shift is twice the game I thought it would be and its the game that pro street shoulda been 60 laps in a very damagable V-spec was fun.:) that 30 lap race on the oval was nuts.

First wind whispers that final reunion will happen thirty nights before twelve months pass and that all winds from the whole world will reunite in the same moment for the first time.

Kaz has confirmed in two seperate interviews that the game itself can be released worldwide March 2010 as amar said but the Sony marketing departments of North America and Europe have not decided on a release date

For those of you who want to crucify Amar because he has given us "false information" you are mad at, and want to crucify the wrong person.

YOU'RE the one that read his post as a matter of fact.

YOU'RE the one who let it get your hopes up.

YOU'RE the one who bounced all these ideas around in your head.

YOU'RE the one who expected certain things to happen that didn't.

YOU have disappointed YOURSELF by getting YOUR OWN HOPES UP.

YOU should be mad at and want to crucify YOURSELF, and do the rest of us a favor.

It's all getting completely out of hand now, but as a lot of you sensible ones have tries to clear up, it wasn't Amars, Jordans or even Kaz's fault (regarding the release date) so if people actually read into the situation as opposed to translating things into pure black and white a lot of this unecessary outrage could have been avoided.

i dont see reason why do you atack amar!? he give us information as ridle.. and he is not wrong, becouse we did "translated" ridlle like we wish.. if you watch close at all six winds. you will see that all info is ok. the raealese date is corect, it was post in apr.. and 30 nights before 12 months is march. so that mean in begining of march in japan (and i am sure last week of march will come to N.A and Europe.. )

Things change. Thanks to those who try to get us reliable info, which wasn't terribly far off mind you. Anybody attacking them is a child, and should be ignored accordingly.

Although you are right 100%, members reactions were to be to expected and was my only ever problem with Amar's speculation no matter how much of it is truth at the time it was posted, as it only becomes absolute and final truth in the end once all is confirmed by PD so is subject to change at any time.

It's just a shame that we have so many members that take everything literally and then build there hopes up by often reading into things way too much till at a point that there conclusions are many levels beyond fantasy... To then be shot down when it does not live up to what they created in there mind.

I think we can all learn a lesson from this.

Amar was far off on one item, that we would have a release date by E3.
He appears to be dead on with a March prediction (although that wasn't totally clear)
He gave a low number for cars.
We don't really know about the tracks yet. he maybe gave a high number
He was right about the pspgo
He was right about GT psp.
He was right about most of the online features

The pspgo and GT psp predictions sounded highly unlikely at the time but came true. After the first baking post when I suggested that he meant a new psp and GTpsp, I was bluntly told that there would be no GTpsp.

The biggest test for his predictions is the presence of a track editor. Only time will tell PD is obviously still holding stuff back.

That sure sounds like a pretty good record to me.

Actually, SCE America and Europe were fed information that GT5 would definitely be out by December 4th at the latest, and the mods are hinting that it was probably earlier than that. SONY Japan decided to push development for GTPSP which carved out a lot of time from GT5 development, and then there was the decision to go ahead with further damage work, along with whatever else Kaz has up his sleeves.

Amar is a journalist, and he has good sources. However, his info depends on what his sources tell him.

Things can change, some of them did. But everything he told us was or is true.

It's a shame some disrespectful kids here are treating him unfair. He's rightfully angry with those folks, and you can see that he's quiet for the last 15 days or so.

He tries to help us, and some people think he's playing with us. Not cool.

I have a lot of respect for his work and for his dedication to GT, i hope he can still keep giving us winds.

There's nothing crazy with his info.

There were two main interpretations of "thirty nights before twelve months pass ". One being December and one being March. Whether he meant Dec or not he hit the March date. I would argue, that March was the most straightforward interpretation. People were quick to believe the Dec version because there appeared to be corroborating evidence and later on Jordan posted that the release would be in 2009. Whether by fluke or not, March fits the "riddle".

So someone tries to shed a little light on the tunnel of darkness that is Gran Turismo 5 and this is how he's repaid?

yall disgust me!

yeah I have to agree Amar tried so hard for us even god isn't right all the time.

I don't know about that last part, but I think your "right on" the first part.

Amar isn't GOD, Kaz or President of Sony.

I think he passed on what info he had in good faith, and it probably wasn't from any of those 3 either.

Although it was most likely a reliable, not infallible, source.

Well, it looks like NDA is lifted. I hope our friend from Croatia is still our friend and has some things to tell us now.

I wouldn't blame him though if he never was to post in this particular thread ever again. Once again i too have to give Amar huge thanks.
