GT5 2009 release date from official brochure!!!

Where does it say is an official brochure? Wouldn't there be a Sony and/or PD logo? and even a PS3 logo, instead of saying the game is on the PS3 format? Looks more like a jounralist/external PR peoples work. Also wonder why its not in the news on GTPlanet, maybe because it isn't a official brochure?

Not that it all matters, just a detail.

The only thing we got so far is the qoute from kaz about it being released shortly after GT for psp, like the news pages says here on GTPlanet.

If GT5 was given a release date now rather than after GT Mobile was released, the PSP game will be a second thought while about everyone on the internet will discuss GT5 instead of GT Mobile.

What would be interesting is if the release date would be announced either on the same day or the day after the release of Gran Turismo Mobile. It is highly unlikely to happen, but that would be certainly not too far off it coming "shortly" after GTM.

I'd say a one to two weeks time is needed to get the most of GT Mobile off the shelves before revealing a GT5 release date.

I didn't see that brochure actually, guess it was in the press only area but i doubt it's official as some pointed out too, just some estimation and infos. I got two brochures out of the show and they do a little run down on each game, in mine I had two pages on GT PSP but that was all for GT. (too bad it was all in german though)

Didn't say it wasn't GT5 just couldn't see where it states its official. Now its on the frontpage of GTPlanet, so I guess it must be an official brochure 👍

no we have just speculated for a while that it will be in the last quarter of 09. the year before that we speculated it would in in the 4th quarter of 08....we were wrong :'(

Exactly. There's no way you can get a picture of that from just the demo. You can't drive it nor is there a photomode available in the demo.💡

Yes, remember Jordan grabbing some news that GT5 would be out before Christmas. Now, this is Graaaan Tuurismo! we're talking about, so the date could slip, but I do believe SONY was probably careful to make sure that GTPSP work wouldn't affect GT5's holiday 2009 release window. And PD did hire a bunch of people some time ago. Kaz and the lads still have two or three months to do the final polish on the game.

Along with race mod and livery editor, the news I'm waiting to hear at TGS is of the Special Edition. That's what I want to buy.

Noone needs them, just like noone needs to play computer games. It's about enjoyment. I'm a creative person and I PERSONALLY would really enjoy creating unique liveries, especially with the incredibly good car models. And yep, 1000 cars is awesome news, and much more than I expected or hoped for. 👍

A livery editor could open up some possibilities, people would be able to create team cars to race online. An improved Arcade Mode with Home Garage, allowing you to select multiple AI opponents similar to PGR4. Maybe that car you want only comes in pink, so you would be able to change to a different color.

I'm not one that wants a livery editor, mainly cause I dont have one creative bone in my body, unless I'm designing roads (I am a Civ Engineer), so painting and designing cars isnt my cup-o-tea. But doesnt mean I wouldnt want to DL someone elses artwork or have someone design something for me.

If its there, I'll take it, if not, wont break the game for me.

#1.. I dont think so. If painting your car is #1 on your list, your driving game priorities is in the wrong spot. #1 should be driving physics. I want a Sim Racer, not a Sim painter.

but i'm talking about a FEATURE (thanks) in a racing game. Like saying A/C is the no.1 feature i want in a car. I expect it to be a car, then i'd like to be comfy when i drive.

Thats why I said to each his own. Its not #1 in my book. I know people love to edit there cars, I'm just not one of them.

Not only the hardware (especially LCD) warms things up a bit, but the G25 experience gets pretty physically demanding when you're racing on the edge for hours in a row. You really work out a sweat...

Much better than A/C, which is not used in racing for power drain and weight reasons.
