The only few main reasons I was interested in the X1 is because of the exclusives like Halo, Gears Of War, Crackdown, and Forza.

After hearing the bad news about Forza 5 not having night racing or weather, I don't see myself buying the X1 at launch. Not that I would have anyway, but now I really don't have a reason to. Very upset about their terrible decision to leave out weather and night racing. Also since all cars are in Autovista, I have a very bad feeling the amount of cars in F5 will be less than the cars in F4. :ouch:

I wouldnt worry to much about forza 5, Turn 10 will make a announcement soon about how removing those features was to to give you a better gaming experience. Only 5% of gamers used them features anyway. :)

No, they'll say something like people love good weather. People go outside when it's good weather and play games when it's bad weather, therefore they decided to give them what they would like to have according to a huge research - always good weather... in game.

I can't believe microsofts stand on their strategy. Can they really be this arrogant or don't they see the controversy they are creating? Or is it that we. Gamers are a small percentage of their target audience, who have no problem with it?

I'm a Forza fan and it is a bit of a let down for these feature to be left out of the game. I'm very interested in hearing their reasoning behind this decision because the only limiting factor in Forza 4 was the xbox 360. Now that they have a better console, there's almost no logical excuse for not having these features in the game. By no means am I upset about these feature not being in the game. However, I'm not in a hurry to purchase a X1 nor am I in a hurry to purchase Forza 5.

The reality is Madden/Call of Duty bros or kids don't care about DRM or always online or whatever and that's a big part of their market. However, what those people (and the parents who buy the consoles) do care about is price, and I wonder if the Xbone's price point will make it a tough sell.

Maybe, maybe not, 500$ is a lotta money.

Kid wants to play Call of Duty. Dad wants to watch tv, sports, fantasy football, etc.

Wow, this single device does both these things!

SOLD, to the average American family.

I have been a huge fan of Forza since the beginning. In fact its the only racing series that finally pulled me away from GT. However, there is NO excuse any longer for Forza to not have weather or night racing. Especially now that its on the next gen X1 console. :grumpy:

I agree. As much as I defended Turn 10/Forza, I cannot give them the pass for this.

Problem is that the dad doesn't need the device to watch football.

But you're forgetting, ZOMG Fantasy Football on Xb111one!!! :fapping:

Speaking of which, I'm pretty sure that kind of thing can be done on a tablet/smartphone, which Microsoft are promoting as a second screen for the xbone....

Well makes sense, Dad yells at kid to get off Call of Doody so he can watch football.
Problem is that the dad doesn't need the device to watch football.
Yeah but I mean, if you've already decided on an Xbox One, despite all the restrictions and limitations, I doubt you'd be the type of person who'd think of the consequences or whether you really need the thing in the first place.

"Wow, It's an all in one box that does everything. This would be totally awesome to have in my living room. I must have it. I need it."

I know plenty of people who buys stuff they don't need. My mom would be an example. :ouch:

Shocked to hear that you won't be getting it. I'm very pro weather and yes its been raining all day here in Manchester but you seemed excited to play Forza 5 and the Xbox One in general. If I was planning to get a XBO I wouldn't let weather be the dealbreaker.

Perhaps they've been busy shaders and lighting, getting all those cars to auto vista spec. Maybe its not quite looking right, too demaning on fps and they'll do some game engine improvemnts later. To get a game at launch is good news to me still.

Where is our "xbone is the future" troll??

Because Portugal isn't listed  , he can stick with his xbox360....

They can buy one sure. But it wont work. MS solution for those countries is simply "move". Or prob relocate because they dont want to promote sony move.

I am starting to feel like they don't want to sell the xbox one, they keep announcing everything people hate, this is strange
