Things You Want To See In GT6 Besides Vehicles and Tracks

I'd like to see a little road debris, possibly from the cars colliding.

I also think that a spark effect would look amazing upon land when a car gets airborne. I know its present when the car grinds the walls so I imagine its possible.

I wish I could run my Pandora while I was driving.

GAMEPLAY - Event Creator
  • Ability to adjust each individual AI driver from skill to driving behavior
  • Ability do design an event with several races/tracks to be mastered. The winner would be alternatively determined either by a point system like in the current A-spec champignonship events or ralley-style by the overall time from all races. This would open the possibility to design a whole evening of fun for a fixed set of participants.
  • Ability to share races with friends
  • Ability to choose grid or rolling start
  • Ability to custom pick AI cars including those in your own garage
  • Ability to set length of race by either laps (1-500) or time (1min - 24 hours)
  • Ability to set up a race with track, weather, surface and specify which cars can participate, car restrictions, standing or running start and so on
  • Ability to give AI cars tuning parts and tune their car settings
  • Ability to script weather changes
  • Earn credits from Event Generator based on difficulty and length of race

Absolutely. This would just add an incredible dynamic to the game. However, this needs to be something that is unlocked after the vast majority of the single player events are completed. Otherwise, I think a single player mode existing of events that are created by Polyphony Digital are almost totally pointless.

GAMEPLAY - Replay
  • No magical flying-next-to-car camera

Made me lol. I really do hate that camera and I'm hoping that it either goes away or has an option to be disabled.

A free roam camera (with all the "adjustables") would be an excellent idea. There's just way too many times when the default camera angles miss great action during races.

I haven't read the entire thread but I'm sure it's been mentioned. I'm still new to Gt5 but coming up on ONLY 400 cars I'd love an actual "Car Collectors" garage. Something with maybe 2 sections (wings) and 5 floors with a shop area and even a driveway. After all, if we are to own, drive, maintain and repair so many expensive pieces of machinery we are most likely very rich and can afford to house (organize) our collection.

5 floor parking garage. (Of which i can label / name them ). When returning from a drive or race I could pick which floor to park on. I'm sure we all would like a way to orgaianze our cars beyond drivetrain or year. We all have favorites but that's a mighty vauge term.

Top Floor : My Absolute Favorites. Tuned, perfect color, ready for my online room, drifting, or Seasonals.

4th Floor : My great cars. ALL already tuned. I'm thinking this would be a busy floor

3rd Floor : My Collectibles. Cars I felt the need to own, rarely drive but shouldn't be mixed in with my tuned racing cars.

2nd Floor : Lots and Lots of cars that haven't been given a promotion yet.

1st Floor : divided into a few areas.
New Arrivals : recently purchased UCD and such
Tuning Shop : cars in the process of being tuned

My Driveway : of course in front of my house. Holds 3-5 cars max. My absolute GO TO cars that I could select right from GT HOME without even going into my garage.

I would never substitute this for PD's search system.

Oh how I would love a section for notes! Notes about a car, the tune, etc

A driving Log : being in any of my cars and being able to see where it's been, raced, what type of race, how it placed and the lap times it ran.

A track log : same thing. What cars have I brought here, how did they do.

Ohhhhh... And better sounds. Early in Gt5 I was kinda bummed by the exhaust, car sounds. I've played plenty other racing games but recently I have come to appreciate PD's exhaust sounds. Not being overdone or amplified to all sound like race cars. Many, MANY cars have a sound that I appreciate. I do think there is plenty to expand on. Especially when adding parts.

That's my rant for tonight. I have so many cars that I wish I had time to drive, tune, race...not enough time for them all :-)

Love this community!

Paul

Ahhhh, beautiful idea 👍

Probably been said, but Shuffle Racing!!!

Choose a narrower range of cars.
Limit drivetrains.
Fix tire selection.
Fixed car groupings like Supercars, Street Sedans, Sports Cars, Vintage Cars etc.
Full grid options not just reverse grid.
Qualifying.
Etc.

Something that I've noticed as I'm working my way through Forza 4: the grass on the inside of a corner is a whole lot grippier than the grass on the outside of a corner, slowing you down, making corner-cutting massively inefficient. Could be so simple to implement.

Jaggies

Hopefully GT6 fixed this already and I don't have to deal with smoke jaggies on my LFA when I'm taking shots anymore :banghead:

+1 for Event creator regarding scores, laps/time, save settings, rolling/grid start..., limit drivetrains

+1 for "driving log" and "track log". Would add history of configuration/setups to that wishlist, too

When cornering, weight shifts to the outside tires so naturally a car will feel more grippy with inside grass as opposed to outside grass, when in fact there is no difference in the grass, it's simply which tires are carrying the majority of the lateral g forces.

No, there's definitely something there. You can go from 200mph to 20 in a NASCAR on Indy Speedway just by clipping the grass, it's a real game mechanic.

That's actually a decision they made to keep corner cutters from gaining an advantage. The problem is that when you accidentally cross the inside, due to recovery from a spin or from being forced off the inside, the deceleration is so violent that the car often looses control. It's completely unrealistic and such a bother that I hope to never see anything like it implemented by Polyphony.

That's why I suggested it :P

Perhaps if they made it a bit more lenient. I agree, it can be heavy-handed at times but overall it's a pretty nifty feature.

Not sure if I said it or not, but remove the 🤬 penalties. I can not tell you how many I've accumulated EVEN when I did not hit someone (purposely) or was one pixel to far into the 'penalty' zone. Absolute garbage. It's buggy to hell and should never exist except for licenses.

Oh. Another thing. Remove the trade limits. It's ridiculous. The game should be focused on the online aspect, and trade limits seem to be focused to the single player aspect. Who cares if I can give someone a car I have then load a backed up save to have it back? It hurts nobody and helps friends get into online play faster if they've started the game months after you.

I'll second this.

I see where you are coming from, but if there are no penalties for online play then it will just be a need for speed-mario kart-bumper carfest. No thanks. It's not perfect, but it's necessary as it will sour too many people online. And as we all know, online play is the focus of GT6. Hopefully way, way improved though 👍

I read the OP but have not and don't have time to read some 3k+ posts seance it's last update. So if this suggestion is someplace in that mess sorry.
Put in difficultly options on career mode. Say five or six options from Easy-Simulation
Each step up increases the AI aggressiveness and randomness, increases the realism of the game and turns off aid's.
At simulation level all Video game only aids, (SRF, Active steering etc) are off and can't not be turned off, all settings are perma set to real, damage is enabled in all races same with penalitalites etc.
YOU can be injured in crashes and need to sit out races in a series, or x number of game days need to advance before you can race again.
Cars must be repaired, and maintained.
You can take out loans to buy, upgrade and repair cars.
Have to buy tires and fuel for races.
You can get sponsor offers at any time.
AI is set to real response so they drive as close to a person as PD can program in, they make mistakes, take advantage of mistakes by other drivers they (if on a team) will work together, can like or dislike you and drive accordingly on the track, etc.

If your rich enough you can buy multiple cars from a dealer at once. (can pay for them in cash)
Tire pressure adjust-ability.
Your not returned to the main GT Home screen after every car purchase.
Don't have the same car 10 times just in diffferant years. Say maybe the best reviewed, preforming and customizeble car from each type. Sorry we don't need 21 miata's or GT-R's in GT6, And ahh lets keep the prototypes and concepts in there they are fun to have ;)
Can hire mechanics to tune your car based on how you drive, eg do 5 laps on a test coarse, than the game generates a tune that should work for you, test it have adjustment options, like tighter, loser, stiffer softer, more brakes less brakes etc to allow you to fine tune the car with out actually having to have a understanding of tuning. (of course keep manual tuning for those of us that like to do it, or prefer a player made tune)

Some B-spec stuff,
I think these have been suggested, I back them if they where suggested already.
Use your B-Spec drivers in long endro races that allow driver changes.
Have team races where you and one or more of your b-spec drivers are in the race with you. You can give team commands such as, group up, speed up slow down, block, pass. etc.

Heres my suggestion:

B-spec Driver Contracts:

You can buy contracts of other drivers( real world racing drivers if PD can include it) and you can loan the driver too. Sort of like FIFA manager mode. You can also offer or renew the driver's contract etc.

Sorry for my bad English.I am from Malaysia. :)

Not sure if this has been said or not yet, but I did a search for it on the OP and could not find it.
I would like to see independent suspension adjustability!
By this, I mean we could adjust each spring rate, camber, damper and etc.(Right Front, Left Front, Right Rear and Left Rear)
This would be great for those who love making left handed turns only. Also, the guys setting up drift cars for a certain track with more right handed turns than left handed!

EDIT
I found it in the OP!
Scratch that above guys :)

Then may they could have an option to turn of vehicle on vehicle collision. Instead, people just ghost through instead of collide.

And maybe so they don't make the same mistake they did in GT5; they should really add actual trading. I don't mean 'gift me this and I'll gift you that.' I mean actual trading. It should be an entirely new place, maybe call it the Trade Shop. You offer a car, and then you can request for specific paint, a horn, money, or a different car. No friend request needed. And maybe for online racing, their could be bets. The wager could be money, a car, paint etc. You place it on who you think you can beat, and if you win, you get double of what you put in. (Or in the case of the car, you can get the exact money that it was worth...or instead, you get the car back repaired for free.)

Along those same lines I wouldn't mind seeing a "race for pinks" option. You race, you lose, you lose your car, it goes out of your garage immediately and is transferred to the winner.

At least make it so the host can't force it on others when starting a race, I could see some hosts attempting to troll by using some mega fast race car to beat everyone else and steal the other racer's cars.

Like Shuffle race, and so there is no confusion, it would be a separate room ID altogether, perhaps with pink lettering as in Race For Pinks in the title. Maybe it could be set up so that you have to make an agreement with a fellow racer to engage in the race for pinks and once the agreement is made (box ticked) you are locked into the track, cannot leave or make adjustments to your car.

We need parcial times for every players, not just for the leader.
I think it´s crucial and a simple game mobile have it.
Sounds.
What a shame if PD don´t listen the community. We deserve more realistic sounds.
Another type of events like a career in DTM,GT1,etc...
What a game should be.
Sorry my english

So in B-spec in GT5, you created a driver and he ran all your races. But what if you could put a listing online to "hire" a driver, for a salary that you pick, and that guy would run races for you. It turns B-spec into owning a team, in a way. Plus, you could use online as a way to scout fast drivers.

Example: In B-spec for the Dream Car Championship, you put out a message that you'll pay 100k per race plus a bonus for getting gold. [Manually typed in with the keyboard, or using sliders, something easy to implement]. On the flip side (A-spec for the driver), you can see listings and take offers sent specifically to you.

I already know a few guys online I would "recruit" for my B-spec team. It would be a fun team management aspect, plus it would be cool to know people in online rooms are potentially scouting you. It also lets you try different cars that you may not otherwise bother to find/own if those drives are offered.

Ideally they wouldn't call it B-spec, and it all just comes under the category of career mode with an option to start a racing team that you directly drive for, or hire out for, in this case.

Rough idea, but I think it would be interesting.

Along those ^^^^ same lines of improving BSpec, how about online BSpec, where you race your Bob against other Bob's from around the world? Be a good reason to develop drivers and actually manage them and their energy and frustration levels throughout a competitive race.
