Usually the bathroom is my thinking-free zone. I just focus on the task at hand.

When I get I fall into a state of deep thinking. Thinking over the day, the week, or even the month. Sometimes I get good ideas for stuff, or sometimes I just enjoy myself (NO NOT LIKE THAT) and analyze the day.

Well if holland would dissappear, alot of great and beautiful architectonic buildings wouldnt be on this Planet anymore, and half of germany would flood...

And some tranquillizer darts. :P

I usually end up in there for too long because I just improvise in there (music improv) Not just one instrument either. My best ideas come in there, but I never get it down. :(

This. :grumpy:

I'm easily in there for 45 minutes to an hour if not longer, sometimes less. When you are in there you don't realize how long you are actually in there for...

I have that problem. Then get a huge gas and water bill.

When I was 11 I thought I was a genius when I thought of Hydrogen Combustion Engines. Then I googled it.

You think that's bad? I thought of something that could carry alot of passengers at one time, not fly or be in water, not be a car, but still travel on ground with significant speed. After a few more additions to that, I realized I had invented the train.

If only I was born earlier!!!

Since 2009 this is, I have always thought of how can I create the best last lap of the championship ever in a DTM Series complete with commentary when taking a shower. Perhaps weird because the BMW M5 and Mercedes E63 AMG are battling out themselves and they don't exist in today's DTM. That made some sort of a thrilling shower but sometimes, I thought of the race too much that I forgot to shower

And yeah, I can create quite a good story when taking shower...

Usually when I'm in the shower I think about how I'd rather still be in bed. I nap, then realize I've been in there 15 minutes and got nothing accomplished.

Yeah, Showers need to be built with clocks in them.

Yep, always happen to me. That's why I always avoid shower with warm water in the morning... Warm water made me feel so comfortable and without realising I might have already been in there for 30 minutes just rinsing my body! Cold water meanwhile, it kind of avoid me from making contact with the bloody cold water and I ended up showering real quick and it keep me alert all the time. That left me being fresh all morning...

How can someone end up napping in the shower?? Must be quite a scene.

Well, I guess that thoughts while being in the shower depend on a single fact: are you alone or with your significant other?

Loneliness: boring things.
Togetherness: exciting things.

:mischievous:

Pretty much sums up my thoughts, thanks. 👍

If it's a daytime shower, however, I stick on a bit of classic rock and air guitar. Some people sing in the shower, I can't, but I do play a mean Stairway to Heaven.

I do the same thing, but with Iron Maiden. However it's usually when I'm washing my hair, which is a pain in the 🤬 because you either get shampoo in your mouth or eye. :grumpy:

I can spend forever in a shower, you literally loose all concept of space and time and if water and heating were free I could live in there!

However communal showers (back in uni), not such an easy place to think.....

communal showers shared with girls, even harder to think. :scared:

Yeah, and end up looking like a dried prune for life.

It's amazing how quickly the water cools as it falls. If you sit down in a shower you soon find out the water is much cooler down there. You can also discover that drinking hot water isn't as nice as cold water. Sometimes I don't bother turning off the extractor fan to see how dense I can make the steam. If you had horrific liquid diarrhea, standing in a running shower would be very convenient. I think about stuff like that sometimes.

+1 I always used hot water to shower, even if it leaves my feet as red as an apple

To detail my experience further:
For me I stay in the shower for long periods of time. The longest I recorded was one hour  I mostly sing, but I also think about deep things e.g. personal stuff.

Have you ever been in the shower so long or turned up the water really hot that it gets hard to breathe from all the steam?

What is it about the shower that makes it so enjoyable and thought provoking.

I thought I was the only one till this thread.
