Did you put the ffb to the maximum ?Ok... T-GT owners, now we need to know how this wheel feels with the new patch 1.03. The T300's FF is significantly lighter now.

I'll try the 1.03 later and i'll tell you

Great to get your first impression!
Thanks for your first impressions! Getting more immersion is really nice. If I gave to choose Id rather have more immersion keeping my times than faster times and less immersion. Please share your impression of the Clubsport v3 once you got the CPX. Thanks! So played a good 4,5 hours with the wheel, I'll try to keep it as short as possible (note I've upgraded from a G29):
- The FFB feels really good and quite strong, I'm getting good feedback on how much grip I've got left etc, I did turn up the Torque (+2 from default) and Strength (+1 from default) a bit (patch 1.0.3).
- The wheel feels pretty smooth while driving, but you can definitely feel some gearing while making smaller movements, But during normal turning it feels smooth (once again coming for a G29 it's on another level).
- Now onto the DFB, I really like it. Will it make me a faster driver? No. Still it adds another level of immersion. The effect is subtle, don't expect heavy vibrations, but you do feel the road and what I really enjoyed was the feedback on switching gears. Really adds to the experience.
- A small letdown though is that I'm not able to map buttons to the 4 dials. Top-right and Bottom left are by default Brake Bias and TCS respectively but I was looking in the menu to remap scrolling through all the MFD options and there is no option to assign it to any of the dials. So basically Top-Left and Bottom-right don't do anything. Really hope this gets fixed in an update.
All in all I'm pretty positive so far. I of course would have liked the wheel to be a bit smoother during smaller movements but it's not a big problem. The DFB adds to the immersion, though it probably won't help you shave of time, though I personally really enjoy the extra immersion.
I will do a proper review (if people are interested) when the CPX adaptor arrives. The T3PA's are decent but I would almost go as far as to say that I prefer the Logitech ones, so far they haven't really felt like a big upgrade compared to the wheel/base.
Yeah its strange. Simracing girl, gamereactor and inside simracing have promised more in-depth reviews, should be here now.The tgt is available for quite some time. How come there are so little reviews out there? I’ve only seen pre-GT sport release review by simracing girl.
Thanks alot for your respons and reflections, very valuable! One aspect you brought to my eyes is the possible possibility to upgrade to direct drive wheelbase if I go for Fanatec and they introduce their coming DDline to ps4. I will wait a few more days before buying hopeing to see some in-depth reviews of T-GT from inside simracing, gamereactor and simracing girl. It seems that simracing girl is not overly thrilled.Hi, i was struggling with the same exact dilemma. I also play only on ps4-pro. Although I’m waiting for the first in-depth reviews of the T-GT, because I’m curious about the T-DFB feature, I’m probably going to go Fanatec. I’ll give you my current opinion. But I think either choice will be good.
1) The T-GT looks nice but the rim is about same size as my current G29 (28 cm) and since I want to upgrade the CSL comes with a larger rim (30 cm). I like the extra buttons and dials of the t-GT , but not sure they’ll be supported on Project cars 2, F1 2016/2017 or just GT sport exclusively. Also the t-dfb might just be gimmick. And the t3pa are not much of an upgrade to my G29 pedals.
2) probably going to go this route, primarily because I like the ecosystem of Fanatec better. More choices to upgrade down the road. Great shifter, handbrake, pedals and I definitely like the formula rim Black much more then thrustmaster F1 rim. I als read a slightly cheaper line of CSL line of shifter and/or handbrake might be coming out.
3) you need to have a converter, Which will cost you some extra money. But you might compensate that by selling the t3pgt pedals. You can get the nice 599 rim, F1 rim and shifter or you might already have them? Then I would go this route. There is no compatible handbrake though if you like rally. I only need 1 round rim (30cm) though and want 1 formula style rim. The club sport h shifter is far superior in build and can be adjusted to sequential much easier. The Ferrari F1 rim is too toylike and I much prefer the simple design of the fanatec rim (see where I’m going there)
4) with the csl starter pack with LC upgrade the pedals would essentially cost about € 160. I like the simpler modular design of the CSL a lot more then the csp v3. But with the csl elite it’s a lot easier to upgrade to v3 down the road, without having to get an adapter. Even upgrading to a direct drive (if supported on ps4), would just be buying the servobase without a rim.
In an ideal world I would get the T-GT slap on the fanatec formula rim and shifter and csl pedals without modding. I read some posts about the drivehub. Not sure if you can use it to use a T-GT with fanatec shifter and pedals?
It seems to me you’re not necessarily worried about the cost, but just want the best money can buy at the moment on console. And both the wheels are the best for ps4. If your invested in thrustmaster ecosystem (rims, shifter etc.) I would recommend 1 and 3. There are some issues with compatibility with pcars2 with both wheels.
Personally,as you might have concluded, I’m going to go Fanatec because of the nice looking formula rim. Im gonna use it a lot and is going to block my view a lot less. BUT it’s backordered til 29-12-2017 and I don’t like the look of the carbon version. I would only change my mind if thrustmaster announced it would sell the ts-pc racer rim separately.
Thanks for the in-depth review. I recommend keeping your g29 if the new one fails. I’m also a g29 owner, but I’m going to go the csl route because of the LC pedals and much better formula rim. However I’m intrigued by the t-dfb feature. Is it worth getting over the CSL elite in your opinion? And how is the rim compared to g29? Larger? Better quality? Layout? Is the upgrade satisfactory for a g29 owner? So played a good 4,5 hours with the wheel, I'll try to keep it as short as possible (note I've upgraded from a G29):

More:This has more gearing/notchyness compared to a T300? Or about the same?
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...300-wheels-thread.361618/page-4#post-11994748I've seen this, looking for personal experiences though.
Just to pick up on this ... Thrustmaster uses toothed belts, but they do "wear in" quite quickly. You should find the notchy feel reduces over the first few weeks as the teeth of the belt wear in slightly.
Gearing/thoothing is an interesting aspect to follow up with T-GT. The TC/PC wheel seems to have more toothing than T300 maybe due to other belts due to stronger motor. So this could be the case with T-GT. Need those in-depth reviews...I've had my T300 for about 2 1/2 years. Can feel some gearing when powered down, but never noticed it while racing. So if the T-GT is similar, I'm cool with that. If it wears down over time even better.
Hi guys, so I just joined so that I can tell you that I have had the T-GT for almost a week and that in the end I will be returning it. The wheel rim itself is very small and feels like a toy. The base however is very well built and looks amazing. The pedal set is OK but does not compare to my fanatec V3 in any way. The T-DFB is great and the force feedback overall is nice on GT. You really can feel everything the car is doing, but for one game only sucks. The other thing that bothers me is not knowing if this thing is going to be compatible with the ps5. 800 dollars is just to much for what you get. I was on the fence even with all these thoughts in my head and then the brake pedal started to make a loud click noise and that was my deciding factor. I might give this wheel another go down the road when we know if it will work on ps5 or if more games will be compatible with T-DFB. It needs to come down in price as well and maybe be offered as the base only.
I was already set on the csl route, till I found out thrustmaster are going to sell the sparco ts-xw, a sparco rally rim and Ts-pc rim separately! I was set on handling that nicely made fanatec formula rim. Now I’m not so sure anymore...Hi guys, so I just joined so that I can tell you that I have had the T-GT for almost a week and that in the end I will be returning it. In your opinion is the t-dfb feature more a gimmick or really worth the extra money? Keeping in mind I can get the t-GT for € 600 instead of € 800.Hi guys, so I just joined so that I can tell you that I have had the T-GT for almost a week and that in the end I will be returning it. I'm definitely going to get the Sparco rim! Great news, makes sense with a lot of online retailers over here discounting Thrustmaster rims.
On your other questions regarding the G29, the leather on the T-GT rim makes the wheel feel a lot more premium compared to the G29. I really like the dual sticks (makes looking around in the cockpit very easy while driving) and buttons and have to partly get back on my point of the dials but the Top-left and bottom right are used, noticed it accidentally while playing the Hockenheim race. Top-left is fuel consumption bottom right is adjusting the MFD you're currently on. Would still very much like be able to map buttons to them.
Now I would have preferred a slightly bigger wheel though, but it's definitely an upgrade over the G29 rim. Still when the Sparco wheels are available I'm going to be the first to get one and never look back.
On the other questions, I cannot compare it to the gearing of a T300 since I never owned one. Coming of a G29 the wheel is of course on another level in terms of smoothness, but as I said you can definitely feel some of the gearing when making small movements. But as Skazz said if the gears wear-in that would be perfect. Once again I cannot compare it to a T300 but overall it's a pretty smooth wheel.
Now do I think you should get it over a CSL Elite, it depend on how much time you spend on GT:S. From what I've read/seen the CSL seems to be smoother. But for me personally, I really value compatibility, and since Sony can be an ass to third parties and supporting their products I went for the T-GT because it is partnered with Sony on a marketing level. Now the T-DFB is something I really enjoy, it really adds something to the experience, just giving you the feeling driving on a surface, you basically get continuous feedback even if you're just on a long straight. But as I said before it's not going to make you a faster driver, it's there for immersion. I'm going to play GT:S 90% of the time with this setup, I don't have plans to switch over to the PC so because of that I think the T-GT is worth it for me and provides me with the best GT:S experience.
If you plan on playing a lot of GT Sport I would say go for it at that price. If I could have got the wheel for 200 less and if my pedals did not defect I would of kept the T-GT. As far as the T-DFB goes, its subtle but what it adds is amazing, hard to explain you need to just try it. I'm sure there will be a GT7 down the road that will implement it and hopefully other games down the road.
Nope only in the menu. I have G29 and also has a rotary dial. You can select TC, map, brake balance, fuel, but no abs. I would have thought the T-GT would have it with 4 rotary dials. Can you turn ABS On/Off on the fly with the T-GT wheel in GT Sport?

Which wheel will you spend your money on that can change abs on the fly?Booo. Thanks for verifying that. I'm glad I didn't waste my money.
