My T500 pedal is arrived but not home dang.
Any of you use F1 mode or GT mode of T500 pedal? Which one make you feel comfortable to use???
It'll depend hugely on your seating angles. I ended up using the default F1 mode because it was more comfortable for my setup, but I do appreciate the ability to easily switch.

GT mode. As I'm mostly racing closed-wheel cars and also like @skazz said depends on you seating position. To be honest, regardless of what you most race on, just as long as you're seating comfortably and feel whatever mode you're comfortable with is the most important.

hello guys! i have been playing around with my t300 for a while now and picked up gran turismo 6 a couple days ago. What is the best drift car/ drift setup on gt6? and which road do you guys prefer?

Regards
Vidarmannen :D

Sorry for bad english, im from Norway :)

Thanks for all of the useful information scattered throughout the 48 pages and 3 days of reading. I have a Playseat Alcantara w/seat slider and T300RS waiting for me at home to replace a DFGT and Wheel Stand Pro. That setup has been golden for the past two years of racing on GT5/6 and Dirt 2/3 and I was highly annoyed at the PS4's lack of backwards compatibility. The updated wheel performance sounds promising though, and at the least I expect to have to adjust the pots on the pedals until I follow the crowds with the CPX and Elites. I hope to be adding positive reviews in a weeks time!

T500RS pedal arrived and pretty happy with it. I played Gran Turismo 6 and GRID Autosport. ...love it.
I glad there have F1 and GT mode pedal so I can switch when I feel like.

I am thinking about load cell brake on my T500rs pedal.

Try T500RS Brake Mod Kit by BasherBoards before spending on load cell. Using two bushings is bit too hard for my liking and as a result I use one bushing and it's a treat.

P.S. Mate, you need to tidy up the cables with Cord Concealer Mesh 2 Metres and Velcro Adjustable Black Ties from Officeworks and then run the mesh down one side of the frame, secure the mesh with the black ties and your setup will be perfect.

True, first I saw basherboards make me think to get it before getting load cell.

Haha the cable already tidy and managed after took the pictures but I like those link I'll getting it when I have time thanks :)

How are the paddle shifters on the wheel? Are they good enough to not get the shifter right away or will I be begging to get the shifter? How about the pedals, are they good where I won't need a replacement/upgrade or will it be sufficient?

I'm a 4 year long G27 user (which finally bit the dust) and I'm looking for some opinions on this upgrade as the price tag for the wheel/base + shifter + pedals is very steep. I paid about $340 for my G27 long ago so I'm not hesitant to buy the t300rs for the tag *but* if the add-ons are needed, I might have to re-think.

PS: I'm a console gamer, if that matters.

I much prefer Thrustmaster paddles to the Logitech ones... Lovely click, nice size.

The pedals are not up to G27 standards. I've been using mine for a few months waiting for my ordered T3PA but getting fed up with the deadzones and lack of progressive brake feel. The T3PA would be a wise investment, However if you like you can spend only a few dollars on the Ricmotech adapter to use G27 directly with the wheel (also on consoles).

I played GRID Autosport with T300/T500 pedal/TH8A....I find it much simple to use and more comfortable to play! I'm thinking about ditch Grid Autosport PS3 to PC...only i play GT series on PS3.

How do I change the degrees of rotation on the wheel? I'm sure its something to do with the D-pad and mode button but can't find any info anywhere. Thanks

Press mode and right or left dpad same time to see flash light. For example 1 flash is 240 degree. 2 flash 450 degree etc. I always use 3 flash due 540 degree :)

How much stronger is the FFB in the T300RS compared to the DFGT? I know it's not as strong as the T500RS but in Inside Sim Racings review he said he set FFB to 10 and that just makes me worry that it's not very strong

If you go by the iRacing wheelcheck (which tests how far a wheel will rotate in 3 tenths of a second), the T300 is just under twice as powerful as the DFGT. But it'a also a lot freer moving due to less internal resistance in the mechanism.

Gran Turismo has always had the tendency to increase wheel weight as you increase the FFB. On a smooth free moving wherl like the T300 you can have it set for powerful forces without it becoming overly stiff.

I used to have the DFGT and now i own the T300, i have to say. At first, the T300 is so light that you'll think that it's is weaker than the DFGT. But after sometime playing you'll see that the FFB is just amazing and the response of the T300 is the same.

Drift in GT6 is amazing with the T300, to make counter-steering is just so much easier and on LFS i use only 50% of the FFB.

Okay, I got this directly from Thrustmaster support. I have no idea what exactly is this motor calibration good for, but its obviosly for some motor related issues which could be your case. Below you can find part of TM sent me:

"We strongly recommend using the Motor Calibration tool below and see if maybe it might fix the issue that you are encountering.

Notes (as stated in the PDF guide):
- the latest firmware needs to be installed before using this tool
- the detachable wheel needs to be removed before using this tool

Make sure that the drivers are properly installed and that the wheel is correctly plugged in (the power cable should be connected directly to a wall socket). After using the motor calibration tool, proceed with testing the wheel's functionality under Game Controllers Panel."

Attached please find the PDF user guide and here you can download the software

Hope it helps.

Thanks for the link.
It worked perfect for half a day until the same problem occurred again. The resistance turning left completely failed! :banghead:
Probably going to get it replaced or ask Thrustmaster support!

Out of interest how old is your unit JBF?

My cockpit is ready!!

I tested it and wow! Have a proper place to attach you wheel makes so much difference.

But there's something do to yet. I have to wash the old seat from a Ford Escort that i friend gave me and paint the support used to fix the seat, drill holes from the pedals(my T500 pedals are yet to arrive and i don't know where to make the holes), and make the support for the shiffter(if everything end up allright, on february it will be shipped to me).
After the pedals arrive, i will post a pic! :gtpflag:
