Does anybody have some good settings recommendations for both rFactor 2 and Projects Cars on the PC? I'm unable to get them to provide any real worthwhile FFB. I know Project Cars has some fairly esoteric FFB settings options and it took me a bit with my G27 to really get it feeling nice, so it's understandable I'm not immediately there with my T300, but rFactor2 is a bit more puzzling. It had great FFB out-the-box with my G27 yet I'm hardly feeling anything with my T300. The game lacks a lot in the way of FFB settings, so I'm not entirely sure what I need to change to get the feeling back.
Any help would be much appreciated.
I've looked at that before and honestly understood very little of it.You can try looking through this for PCARS.

I recommend in pCARS simply making a couple of small changes (off the top of my head, might have misremembered names):I've looked at that before and honestly understood very little of it.
I just want some plug and play recommendations that I dont have to think about when it comes to Project Cars and all the weird FFB settings it has.
Thanks a bunch. I'll give them a try tomorrow ASAP.I recommend in pCARS simply making a couple of small changes (off the top of my head, might have misremembered names):
- in the advanced menu turn down steering gain from 2.00 to 1.00
- add 0.05 deadzone removal
- turn down tyre force so that you don't get any clipping (say 80-90%)
- make sure deadzones are all on zero, linearity on 50% on all axes
This should give you much more informative and lively FFB. Some cars might be a bit heavy, so you can either drop tyre force a bit more or tweak individual car setups.
Doesn't the Ricmotech give the higher resolution too? It's only a cable that adapts from one style of plug to another, surely it's the wheel base that translates the signal and therefore improves the resolution.
I can't see how Thrust master have done anything different!!
The IC and the firmware is on the base of the wheel = the resolution of the Ricmotech & of the Bodin adapter is also 10 bits.
Yeah, the existing adapters like Ricmotech's also gives higher resolution. Insidesimracing already tested this.
One of the awesome things about the wheel/pedals is how quiet they are. Usually past 9PM with my G27, playing was a no-go since it made an awful racket.
Not at all. For one, the general, FFB-less resistance of the T300 already feels much smoother. It glides, where as the G-wheels feel a bit ratchety by comparison. And when in-game, when you run over some rumble strips or something, the G wheels do a rapid fire, loud, CLACK CLACK CLACK sort of noise. I got used to it myself too, but it was definitely something I knew very well I couldn't run at nighttime with other people in the house and having my neighbors through my thin wall. There's none of that with the T300. The only real noise complaint I have with it is is the fan noise that tends to kick in after 10-15 minutes of driving or so. It's about as loud as my PC(which isn't super loud), but being obviously quite close to me, is more noticeable. I generally wear headphones, so I dont really notice til I take them off, but it's something worth noting. Overall, it's a very quiet wheel, though. Which is great.I only have a G25, and I'm quite used to the noise. Recently I tried a G27 at a friend's house and I already feel it's a lot quieter. I can't imagine how quiet the T300 is. First time trying I would probably think it's faulty or something
Even I'm planning to switch to this wheel from a G27. Let us know your first impression and review.I ordered my wheel today and hopefully it will arrive this week, I'm super excited to go from a DFGT to this wheel just the simple silence when turning will be amazing.
Although I'm still concerned about it's durability after hearing a lot of problems but then again you do hear things like this happen to many products.
Want to hear something funny? When I got my T300 I missed the CLACK CLACK CLACK sort of noise... It really took time for me to get used to this new wheel because of that. Someone else said he missed the 'tactile feedback' the Logitech wheels give and I think he had hit the nail on the head. But I do not want to go back, I really love the T300: it's smooth, strong and gives more detailed FFB. Two minor complaints: I bought the Ferrari Alcantara wheel but wished it did not have the flat spot at the bottom of the wheel (I like a completely round wheel more) and the fan noise is a bit annoying when not using headphones.
Even worst in AU (Australia). Oh sorry I forgot, "it's not a toy"... the stupid CSWv2 prices in EU.
New Thrustmaster product : the DB9 PEDALS T.RJ12 ADAPTER.
Price : Only 9,99€ / £9.99
Available for Europeans countries here: http://shop.thrustmaster.com/en_gb/db9-pedals-t-rj12-adapter.html
Good question. Seems like it would work. I'm no PC expert by any means, but it should all "talk" to each other as they should.I´m using my T300 for almost three weeks now and so far I`m very happy with the wheel. The pedals are OK. But I´m thinking about upgrading to the T3PA.
Now that I´m finally through this whole thread, I stumble over this adapter
Do you think I could combine it with this adpater http://www.fanatec.com/eu-en/pedals...edal-adapter-cabel-for-fanatec-wheels-eu.html and a DB9 M/M Coupler (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00005111T/?tag=gtplanet-20) in between to use fanatech pedals with the t300.
So I would end up with Fanatech pedals -> Fanatech to Logitech adpater -> DB9 M/M -> Logitech to Thrustmaster adapter -> t300 wheel. The adapters would be around 15 EUR and the fanatech pedals would get more interesting.
If you want to be the brave tester and it works (on console?) I'm sure a lot of guys will be very interested in your results! So I would end up with Fanatech pedals -> Fanatech to Logitech adpater -> DB9 M/M -> Logitech to Thrustmaster adapter -> t300 wheel. The adapters would be around 20 EUR and the fanatech pedals would get more interesting.

Why all the complexities when there's BasherBoard CPX Adapter. (Check for availability though)
Because it is 70 USD vs. ~ 25 USD. If it would work the described way, why spend more money and potentially wait much longer?

And for all newcomers to this thread. For your convenience, all known mods, drivers etc. are available in the original post (OP) https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/thrustmaster-t300rs-racing-wheel-thread.311143/
Anything new, please share and I'll update the OP.
Since you list the T3PA pedals there, you probably should also list the Bodin Solutions BLC-T3PA Load Cell Mod:

Currently out of stock, more to come shortly!
This Price won't last long, Sales rep said she doesn't know when it will be over, SO if you can jump NOW and add the care plan since reliability is said by some to be questionable.

Better save your money and buy a wheel that last more.
Maybe Walmat wants to clear out old/first generation stock? I'll gladly take a chance if I'm in need of a wheel and live in the States. That price is that same as Logitech's G29.
