Great write up perro
Some good things i have noted down from reading. i will have a try putting it into theory tomorrow its 3am here need to get some ZZZzzz i will post up after done afew runs tomorrow if I've gotten any quicker.

I can manage full throttle through the entire section. Where do you mess up? It's all about your line through the corners.

I shift down one gear coming in to the first corner of the section and then coast all the way through (half throttle). Will try to do it full throttle but that seems a little too fast for some of the curves.

Thanks dogzy i have noticed those speeds my main loss of time is right after the 2nd split time the right left right .. yeah waiting for some advice from the top runners. I notice our times are pretty equal dogzy would make intense racing between us.

No problem ;)
But I would say that almost 2 tenths is a difference, we will see final results in 9 days, who is faster :))

mmm, I looked at the rankings these days and I'm not top 4 as I did, and I have lost many positions hahaha

I have looking forward it hits on Saturday to start again, I've seen that have climbed to the top 10 new pilots, I am raring to do a good time and thoroughly test the brakes ...

You should stay full throttle in 7th gear all the way through or you could try shifting down to 6th when you start noticing the revs getting a bit low to give you a better run out of the last of the Porsche curves.

I find that I need to throttle back into 5th gear in order to give myself the time to use the wipers, to scape off all the mosquito's/moth's/bug's that have plastered themselves to my windscreen!:D

Then its back to full-throttle for the run up to the Ford chicane's!

Nice time by the way!

Finally got a go tonight... To my suprise at the start I was off, but soon back into it... So much so I wasn't prepared for being up on the leader! I seem to be taking sector 2 different to most people, and I can gain 0.020-0.050 on a good lap! My downfall is the last section, still trying to figure out the last sharp 90 right, it's like the car is half a meter wider to the left lol! Still improved to a 03.266, I can definitely see myself getting in the 02's if I get that 1 corner right!

I had a quick go earlier today in a break from revision, improved to 1:03.091 👍 I think a 1:02.8 is possible, I just need to hook up my best sectors. For the second sector, I found it helped if you sacrifice a bit of speed through the first right hander in order to take a better line through the proceeding left turn, I still haven't mastered the corner after that, and I'm starting to get the hang of the last corner :) I'm following yinato's ghost :sly:

Congrats on the improvement 👍 I did see that :D! For sure and a low .8 at that I think, you could if you get the perfect lap maybe even get a .7 after seeing the times tonight. For sector 2 (Video is being uploaded tomorrow) I flat the left, dont brake for the right, you can stay pretty much on it throughout that right and then go really tight to go into the second right. But a slightly wider line in will result in a better exit I've found at least.

I just always use top as a benchmark, I really shouldn't though as subconsciously it must have an effect somewhat when I see blue... as per the resulting fail after I saw it tonight haha.

 I think I need a bit more improvement to see a .7 but I will be able to give it a go on Friday :D Sorry, when I was talking about sector 2, what I really meant was sector 3 haha! Confused myself! My best first sector time has been a .302 👍 Didn't really take not of the others, yinato's was the fastest ghost when I first attempted the event so that's why I'm using it! 👍 I've been 0.095 up on him going into 3rd sector, but then crashed into the apex of the next corner!

A low .8 is defo possible for sure, I'm not the fastest of the fast but I can certainly see what times can be done lol.

I need so me advice for that last kink, im losing all time on that bloody corner, go in 0.3 off number 1 and end up losing 0.6 every, single, time. Its driving me mad.

Hey, where is my buddy Dalone? This would be a good time for him to come out and give me a real ass whipping. This is one of my worst tracks and I am really having a hell of a time right now, actually quite embarrassing. :grumpy: Anyway, if you're out there Dalone, come out and play. This could be alot of fun between you and I. Lets have some fun big "D" Come and give me that ass whipping that you been wanting to give me. Come on big boy, spank me.:lol::lol:

My best first sector for the Mazda TT is 16.305. Think I would need that to get .8XX but probably won't get below 1:03s due to trying to take things to the limit regarding missing the barriers.

I use only my slow ghost for reference, had a look at fastest lap just now, and I can be faster in all three sectors. Hard to get a lap together though but looking at sector times now, it looks like I only need average first and second sector and nailed third sector to do a .9. Last corner can be quite annoying. 1:02.7 should be possible but I think I will only get that if I get really lucky . Ti-tech85 is yet to do TT so maybe he could go below .7s as he is alien fast.

titech, I do not think test this TT many days off ! ;)

You are, 'having a hell of a time right now'?

After reading that I checked my leader board (friends rankings) and pmjg is still on top, of course, and I have moved from second to third place with my modest 1:05.512 which I did on the 14th.
But you were nowhere to be seen. I figured you had 'unfriended me' so checked that, but no, we're still 'buddies' it seems.
But you have not posted a time yet. Which could mean you are driving under a different name or that you stop before the finish line if you are not happy with your lap.

Now I don't like this TT and wasn't planning on putting much more effort into it, likely why you haven't seen me here much, however I have asked you to participate in many of the recent TT's and every time you have declined.

So as far as I am concerned I beat you on every single one them. Ass whipped if you like.
Maybe you were stopping before the finish line in them too, who knows.

Anyway, my time is on your leader board (friends rankings) but yours is not on mine.
Cheers.

Talk about setting fire to an olive branch, lol!

*Fetches popcorn*

Ha ha, anyway I felt an urge (compulsion may be a better word) to do a few laps after that little rant of mine and have improved a tad to 1:05.405.
Now sitting comfortably at pos # 2,322.

Over ....

This game sucks without a wheel :yuck:

Not going to be doing much on gt5 for a while.

Will see what reviews gt6 gets and then possibly get a new wheel.

Hope you decide to get one soon pmjg without waiting for GT6, you've been a great help here for me and for many others with your cars and tunes.

Of course the upside is that I will occasionally be at the top of my friends list again, but I'd trade that for your experience and help any day.

Could someone who lives in UK, please, go to London and remove, not much, 10-15 cm that concrete things in front of sanyo sign...??? would be a huge help... thank you! :dopey:

In a major mood now was doing Le Mans for a hour solid got a couple clean laps in then was on a absolute cracking lap hitting every apex practically at full throttle came up to first chicane and nailed it then hit last chicane slightly to fast and ran wide catching the gravel and spinning 360 across the line for a 2.17.8 could have been a sub 2.15 :done

^^^^^:):)

While we are waiting for our UK team-mates to perform the necessary construction work.....

I wonder if its possible to wear down the concrete with repeated side-impacts?

I'm going to give this a try......

OK, I've smacked the walls for five straight laps (in an effort to chip off some concrete)..... now its time for the "golden" lap.....

Bam!:banghead: My Mazda smacks the wall on lap # 6!:ouch: I think that the wall moves out into the racing line as we near its location.:irked:

Maybe the London race fans are pushing from behind... eager to get a closer look at my streaking Mazda!:D

Good luck with your laps!

I'm getting frustrated now, can run consecutive 1:05.4xx 's , but lapping any faster just doesn't seem possible ( even if we all know it is when taking a look at the leaderboard ) :grumpy:
I knew it was time to stop trying when my DS3 started to make creaking noises because I was gripping it more tightly with every passing lap :P

I know the feeling. I've spent about 2 hours on this and can consistently do low 1:05s. Got lucky once and did a 1:04.9 which put me just outside the top 1000. I'd really like to be in the top 1000 but I just can find the extra couple of tenths. I've been following Yinato's ghost and lose a bit on the first corner then pretty much maintain the gap up to the last two corners. Then he romps away. Anyone got any advice?

Had a quick go in the Red Bull but I feared my wheel was going to shake itself to bits so retired settling for silver.

@ StirlingMoose 2 hours only? Think I spent 3 times that much and keep throwing away a sub 1:04! Keep at it and I am sure you will do it.... last turn seems to be the time killer :( but it sure is tight up on the charts! Don't recall the gap being this small of a margin.

@ CargoRat  Horrid when I noticed you on the charts a day ago.

My top three sector 1 times are now 16.297, .298 and .299. Hopefully I manage to get a lap with a fast first sector and build on it. The last corner has cost me potential .9s so far so need to work on that. I wouldn't be surprised if anyone does a 1:02.6 as it seems quite possible.

What brake balance are you using? I've done a 16.288 first sector, using 6/4 BB, I can't decide if 6/4 or 6/3 is the best for the rest of the lap though 💡

I am using 6/4 too, tried 6/3 first, then 6/4, then some higher ones but settled back to 6/4. I wonder how low first sector can go, are you using chase camera for this TT?
