I think if you read through it there are settings for the DFGT too.

Yeah will have a look now, sorry am not great with edits/reply an all that, am using iphone an i feel like early man with technology lol anyway, yea tried weight reduction stage2 an stage2 engine feels really nimble but somethings missing, Will try a few more combinations.

And now for something entirely different.

I refer to the photo "te? Philippines" uses showing a very young child seemingly playing pocket billiards.

In my opinion it's not a good look and may well give some people the wrong impression regarding your likes and dislikes.

Just a heads up on my part but something I think requires attention.

How come it always seems to be the little things that you have to make a big deal about? Honestly, I didn't even notice his avatar. You seem a lot like my daughter, always looking for something to moan about. Anyways, nice improvement on your lap time, looks like I better get rollin' again. :sly:

I just used an upgraded Civic Type R (2008?) and it beat the gold by a second or two. Didn't try much after that. I'm more of a completionist than a competitor.

Slight improvement today started off at 2.27 170 ended 2.26 650, Quick question I run with AT is there any special formula setting the gearbox I mostly use the tranny trick and tweak from there

Front wheel drive cars aren't my thing, but Suzuka is such an awesome track :)

2'24.519.

Car's on share for those on my friends list - it will go a good deal faster, but I'm knackered and can't string 2 sectors together, never mind 3

Thanks to CB for the base tune 👍 I'm pretty much using that with max ballast, brakes 0 10, front toe -0.50 and LSD accel 60.

Gearing still needs a bit more work, but it's tricky to get a good balance between 2nd/3rd/4th that allows 2nd at the hairpin, 3rd at Casio and doesn't bog down in 4th through the Esses.

The crazy settings show that PD aren't really modelling weight transfer or traction properly, and for me they rather call in to question how they built the whole physics engine in GT5. If you set a real car up how this one is it would be completely undrivable!

Just Ruined a 1:03.697 first sector :( :( :(

2:24.157 wasnt a great lap a bit rough in some places,

If i can get in the 23's i will be happy enough

Yea, that pretty much goes with what I was saying earlier. In how I have gone about setting this car up pretty much goes against everything I have learned about tuning in the past. Really had to think outside the box on this one. :odd:

I had another session this afternoon using a combination of Cb's suspension settings and Ridox's gearing (thanks for those chaps) and improved over a second on my day 1 attempt. Now on 2:27.03 but got to the the stage where I was pushing too hard trying to find extra time and gave up at that. I won't get another chance to play for a few days but I've got a couple of questions.
1. Chassis rigidity improvement. What's the verdict, does it help? I haven't tried it yet.
2. Handbrake on the hairpin? I've been following a Doodle ghost and it looks like he's using it. I've had a go but I don't really have the skills and it's not saving me time, however I'll persevere if it's worth it.

Chassis reinforcement is a must for me, the cars feels much more stable and planted, it does give a bit push on certain FF cars, but it can be lessened with driving style and aggressive toe.

For the hairpin, I would suggest to brake deep into the apex, then press the handbrake for a split second to send the rear tail out, then power on quickly, try to steer early and straight out of the corner. My fastest lap did have messy hairpin - used the handbrake Tsuchiya style to correct the car when it start to understeer because I overshoot the braking point - went over 162 kmh  When I got the hairpin right ( without handbrake ) - I hit the apex at 60 kmh and power on exit without any wheelspin or red tire.

Also, the last part of the S Curve that leads to the long left uphill Dunlop curve, it will be better to feint weight shift ( flick to the left and right quickly ) and hold the car in 2nd gear ( 110+ kmh ) to rotate it easier in mid corner of the last S curve and stay to the right as much as you can when entering the uphill Dunlop - should reach 130 kmh easily, hug the apex on the left and the car should hover around 130 kmh and reach over 181 kmh just before entering Degner.

If only I have wheel/pedal , my old DS2 is not up to the task anymore, sluggish and imprecise, used 3 steering sensitivity and still feels slow to respond. The only good thing is the gas and brake ( when my thumb cooperate  )

I tried chassis strengthening earlier today and it didn't work with the set-up I was using then. Even with the crazy settings, the car has a pile of understeer and it just seemed to add to it. However, my current set up has quite a decent amount of rotation, so it might work. Personally, I hardly ever use it as I want the car to be as unstable as possible.

I was slightly tapping the handbrake in to the hairpin, but with BB of 0-10 I can trail brake in to the apex so don't really need it anymore.

now at 2:26.2 and I really think there is a lot more in setting for this crazy FF car

Using big ballast on the front wheels is the setting for all FF cars? or just this track/car combo?

After a short half hour session before the NASCAR race begins, improved to 2'26.606 and still fine tuning the trans. Be back after the NASCAR race is over. Good luck guys. 👍

Got my PS3 and GT5 3 weeks ago tomorrow and thank's to you guy's posting enough information about car's and tunes I've managed to use the information provided and to clock a 02:25.973 on my first 9 laps, appreciate all the work you guy's obviously do.

Thanks Bee.

Thanks to Stotty and Rido for the (slightly contradictory) advice. I guess it all depends on your driving style and set-ups. I think Rido is an ABS 0 guy ( I recall borrowing one of your cars and having a big surprise lock-up on the first corner) so a 0/10 BB is not really feasible, but I'm going to give that a go when I get the chance. I have the handbrake mapped to the H shifter on my wheel but I haven't practiced using it enough for it to be instinctive so I usually mess it up.

That's a very impressive start. Please tell me you've been playing a different driving game previously.

Rido's also using a DS3. A wheel allows you to manage a much more unstable car... and the more skilled the wheel user, the more unstable a car they'll be able to control.

I manage to reach 2.28.400 with the Integra Settings posted by Cb. Which is really a good time for me. However I really hope someone try this TT with the Focus ST mine manage to get me 2.30 however i think the tune could be improved used detuned Prano`s tune for it.

I'm getting faster too found a new line in to 130r and final chicane
I was following the P2 guy's ghost and went way off to the left between 3 and 4. No red. That might help anyone who's looking to pick up a few tenths. Way off means all four on the grass.

Oh would you stop it? Is he not allowed to post his video here?
I agree. (Bet you wished you'd never given out your real name, right? Mentioned twice in one post. Not cool and, to my mind, condescending.) Other than that, I really admire your skill.

What, its not right to call someone by their real first name, even after they requested that you can call them by that name. I wasn't trying to be condescending at all. I reply to this because I assume you are talking about my earlier post to Andrew.

Anyways, managed some improvement, down to 2'26.535 now and still leaving a good amount of time out there in all sectors.

Wait what? I don't care if people call me Andrew. It's not a big deal.

I knew it wasn't Andrew, since it was you yourself said it was ok to call you that when you introduced yourself in the WRS thread. He's just somebody taking exception to something I said that doesn't concern him.

Hey Ridox2JZGTE is there room for me on your 1st account. I am on your 2nd account

Sure, send me FR, I found another great FF car, similar power and torque to the Integra DC5 - 275HP, 178 ft lb torque -and only 1040 kg, but it has 65/35 weight distribution :) This car has shorter wheelbase, so it might be more nimble and responsive in changing direction. Another forgotten JDM :(

I am online now, tuning and testing it. Seems to have better torque curve that suits FF, less prone to wheelspin, messing with more HP and weight tune.

Managed a 2:27.513. Not a big fan of FF cars but Suzuka is a great circuit so it eases the pain...

Edit/Update: 2:27.232

...using the back up DS3 (battery died in my favorite one)...think If I'm not carful I just may do this one in as well .. as far as the left stick is concerned. Least it has a good battery to put in the other if it goes lol

Thanks for sharing. I'm up to P77 with a 2:25.375 :) , I'll be happy if I can finish in the 2.24s but that's easier said that done.

Never even noticed his avatar?

Well you know what they say, "Stop it, or you will go blind!"

However it is not just the little things which catch my eye.
You will recall the last TT where I pointed out that in my opinion you would most certainly have used some, or all, of the tunes of those at the top of the leaderboard when you were downloading them without their knowledge or permission.
That was before you couldn't help boasting about doing so after another poster stated they could do it.

Now I don't know whether your children have ever caught you cheating in a game, but I can tell you that it is something mine, and I have 9 (since 1969), would never be able to do.

Peace.
