How about putting the headset on the dog and playing him some nice soothing music? Congratulations on a great time by the way.

Thank you and LOL, that's funny! I really need to train him to shift for me.

Yes, You have done a great time, especially considering you are using auto gears. I'm interested to know why your replay can't be downloaded though ?

Only the top 10 on the leaderboard have replay's saved.

We've also got a dog in our family, but I've been married to her for 24 years.........

(english humour, sorry )

If I had a nickle for every time I have heard Dog and Cat humor related to being female,.

I hope i have done this replying to your comment thing right before i get told off lol.

Yeah the thing about sharing tunes is an invidual thing an i can understand someone not wanting to share if they are at the top because we all want to win,

But like me i like to reach my
limits an if i know that i have done a better sector then i know that theirs room for improvement or learn from people who have expeirence of setups.

I think fast people will make better use of a good setup because they reach the limit more, whereas slower people it might just be that their driving braking an just not understanding grip levels.

For me the quick guys will always be up their an it doesnt matter how good setup is their just generally faster.

An sometimes setup might not suit peoples style :)

Car choice is the biggest part in getting competitive time, try to run one of my 5 shared cars - other than the Integra, they are fun to drive, but somewhat slower than Integra even when one of them clearly has better acceleration and top speed ( 230 kmh top speed ). If only someone quick would try to run a different car than the Integra ... I would be very interested to see how close other cars can keep up.

I have Mirage, FTO, Primera, Celica, and Sprinter BZR on share, much more challenging + exciting to drive than the Integra - IMO, one of them sounds much better too.

Hey i'll add you an test your cars, it'll be great for me aswell as ive been away for couple of days an need to get my eye back in.

I will test tommorow evening if all goes well.

Cheers.

Cool, send to GTP_Orido - the fastest one in straight line is the Primera, the ones with easy to drive handling are the Celica and FTO, while the Sprinter and Mirage are bit tricky.

I keep improving in small amounts, now at 2:25.4
This racetrack is so complex you can always find new ways to improve. When you start to get the right mid corner speeds looks like braking technique and turning points are what makes the 2 sec I keep losing. Modulating brake with quick turns.

Managed another hour between work and the footy kicking off.

Found another 10th - 2'24.209 for 20th place.

Also tried the car with less ballast (best time set with 200kg) and I think it could be faster. Will need the other settings adjusting to compensate though and I didn't have time to do the necessary work.

Fun TT as you can try many cars. I got gold with a Megane but it's nowhere near the best times.

By the way I noticed there is no more weirdo cars with wheels outside doing half the time of "normal" players, good thing :)

That's cool, must have been a great experience. I did notice your town of Darwin was mentioned in the first movie. ( Town where the lady flew into before taking off to her final destination to where Mick was.)

Yep, Darwin was their headquarters for filming in the NT. Where I was involved was out bush, mostly in the Kakadu area.

Borrowed Ridox's tuned car on GTPCARSHARE, but found after adjusting the brakes to a 0-10 I was still getting a fair bit of understeer going into some of the corners and running wide using the DS3.

Adjusted the LSD to a 5-15-5 and used Stotty's mad aggressive -.10 F and -1.00 R toe and found the car was much easier to rotate and therefore way faster for me, shaved 2.5 sec off my time so far, but have only run about 20 laps all up so far since the TT began so still floating around the 2:29:xxx mark, hopefully be able to put some decent effort in tomorrow.

With a high rear brake bias you can trail brake, but for ultimate rotation try braking then releasing the brakes - in the faster corners (entry to turn 1/2, Spoon and 130r) it creates a huge amount of rotation and allows you to carry more entry speed... but needs managing carefully as you don't want the car broadside, only the rear sliding gently.

To avoid understeer in the slower corners, don't be too aggressive with your entry speed... focus on hitting the apex and then you'll be able to use much more throttle on the exits... you have to avoid overloading the front tyres on entry to corners as the car takes an age to re-gain grip.

I used my fto for a bit with a dc5 setup on it and I've managed to get within a tenth of my best time I'd be a head mid way in to first sector then claw it back to level by hairpin but then lose out in to spoon but be level by chicane no doubt in my mind the fto can produce a top ten time given the fact I'm mid 25s and using a ds3 and the tune could be improved to more suit the car as I was 0.4 up in first sector same applys to the Nissan with a more focused setup that car with right driver would break the top ten as was 0.5 up in end of first sector with low 1.04 but throttle control on this car is key with torque it has
Honda dc5 2:25.513
Nissan. 2:25.852
Fto. 2:25.591

Great times with the Nissan and FTO  I only managed low 2:28s when tuning them - averaged 1:05 1st sector, but always messed up afterwards :(
Now at least I know that those cars do have potential, better power/weight ratio than the Integra, just needs someone quick to use them and shows how quick they are :D

Thanks mate with out doubt the Nissan and fto have potential to be faster but the honda is by far easier to drive and be quick with a ds3 the Nissan takes near perfect throttle control to put in a sub 25 it's torque and acceleration is by far the best but found it lacks the ability in corners thou afocused tune would rectify this and use of a wheel would make this a 24s car
The fto it's very much the same and think I'm going to stick with using it for a day or two with a more focused set up and some more practice I think I could drop to 24s and I'm not making to much of a improvement with the honda now

I manage to reach a time of 1.28.106 and hope I could reach high 1.27 but I still can`t manage to find a good line in 1st sector especially at the first corner I try braking at the White line after that a hand break to rotate the car but still lose time on the second Apex of the turn and in my best lap I even powerslide there but still the exit is faster then without the powerslide which is odd. I will try more tonight but this really piss me off if I try breaking later then the white line i go off track if I break early I`m slow and still don`t beleve this is my best time for this TT.

Turn 1...

Brake at the white line and aim for the 1st apex. Come off the brakes and the car should rotate (if you have rear brake bias), enabling you to carry speed in to the corner. Coast (no throttle or brakes) to the left hand side of the track as you brake gently for the 2nd apex.... needs gentle braking or the car will just understeer wide.

If you have the rear of the car sliding when you hit the gas you will get wheelspin and this will kill your exit speed.... so you want the rotation early in the corner with the car settled by the apex so you can use maximum throttle.

Do not use the handbrake for anything other than possibly the entry to the Hairpin as it unsettles the car too much.

Up to 5th thanks to stotty's tune, watching elder's lap who's 2nd hes up by sector 2 then loses quite abit last sector! , pirata is super quick sector 2, could be creaping towards a 2'22 perfecting all the sector's together these guys are bloody quick! think theres a 2'23.5/6 for me with practice.

No. :grumpy: I will not let you pass me for too long. :P

great lap m8, congrats :D

Decided to stay home today from work, put some time this morning, currently sitting at 2:26:723

There's definitely a lot left on the table, I can push a second ahead of my ghost on the first half but I'm absolutely horrendous at the last chicane.

I'm using a premium DC5. I'm finally getting the gear ratios where I like, however, I have a question;

What in gods name allows the 1st place driver to cross the finish line @ 120mph but I struggle to pass it at 115-116mph? Doesn't matter if I'm turbo'ed or all motor.

This may seem like a silly question, but then I am bonkers.....due to front wheel drive etc, would a 900 degree steering wheel be better on this TT than a 200 degree wheel, ?

Gearing and tune sure have a part, but the most important is to maximize exit speed from the chicane :)

I think so, better precision input, a good pedal will also make things a lot more better. These tuned FF cars needs very delicate input to avoid pushing the front tires over the limit and loses grip. I had a lot of hard time steering with my worn out analog stick :( - the esses, dunlop, degner, hairpin, spoon, 130R and casio are all nightmare :banghead: as it constantly moves left and right, it annoys me too when playing Mortal Kombat, my character would at random times jump around by itself

You should try and stick to playing one game at a time then..... you might improve your time,
