Barcelona with chicane. Why it's the most dull and soulless track in the whole of GT7. The last chicane is the most frustrating and ridiculous section of track in GT7.

I have gold for now, and hope to goodness that it sticks otherwise I will feel obliged to put myself through the tedium of running on this awful track again.

Really sweating after an hour-long session in Goodwood, but super worth it. This TT in VR is something that no other game can offer at the moment, and most probably won't until maybe GT8.

Drove 90% of my mileage in Goodwood Green (obviously), but for the final push had to tap into some Bond powers with the silver color. The only mistake of the lap was the right hand combination before the back straight, where I didn't get turn-in, missed the apex and then had a jerky moment in the middle realizing I couldn't get the tail out with gas anymore so had to change to plan B and tidy up for exit towards the straight. That is of course a crucial corner, so easily a .2 lost there and the following straight. Oh well, otherwise a very good lap.

Goodwood is the 6th TT event I've taken part in and after 5 consecutive silvers my first gold might be on the cards with a time of 1.25:780. Six or so weeks ago when I started participating into TT events I was convinced I would not be able to reach gold at any event even temporarily so this feels like a personal achievement. Although having said that my 2 million credit reward is very much hanging by a thread as I'm only 0.06 seconds away from the cutoff to silver. So, I sincerely hope a certain someone doesn't plan to improve their record.

I tell myself the same thing every time I start a TT with a circuit that I don't know very well! But with work and perseverance we are surprised!

Rightly so, especially since, statistically speaking, this is one of the harder ones. I have come to accept that it is Silver for me this time :)

@half_sourly I can't thank you enough for the work you do for us, but still, once again Thank YOU!
I have a question regarding data, is it possible to find out which Gr3 car I was driving last time on Catalunya, I mean some months ago?
Through saved data somewhere?
I do however know since I saved replay so I know it was BRZ, but I wonder if it's possible to find info about it if I didn't save replay?

You're welcome.

No, unfortunately I don't have access to car data where more than one is available.

@crome Do you know if that data is available via a scrape? It must be held somewhere at least temporarily, because it is shown in-game while the TT is live. Thanks.

Yes and no. Each record contains a numeric car code, but I don't know how to map them. Is there a page somewhere on the GT7 site where all cars are listed?

Hmm. Could do it by brute force. If you could code it, I could test it on a daily race qualifying, because I think they too have event numbers. If not, then maybe the GTWS stuff. I could do very slow laps then progressively quicker with different cars, doing a scrape after each go. Then map the resulting numbers to cars.

I think I just found an easier way. Will do some tests and PM you.

The brilliant @crome without whose help I would not be able to do what I do, has done his js magic so I now get cars as well. I've rerun the script for TT19, when we were at Catalunya in Gr.3 cars and you did indeed do your fastest lap in the Subaru BRZ GT300 '21.

Now that I get that data, I'll see about doing some car analysis - let me know if you have ideas as to what sort of analysis you want to see.

Guys, what is different between previous Gr3 Catalunya and current Gr3 Catalunya TT? I see tires RM now and RH on previous one, but WR time now is currently 1:43.6** while on previous one it was 1:38.9**
Physics changed so we are now 4 seconds slower?

I haven't tried it yes, it was busy week with some corporate conference for full 4 days this week. Come home late yesterday and today I tried Goodwood DB5 since I still have some blue deltas to gain there.

P40 currently.

Thanks a bunch! If you take away the Olympic silver at Deep Forest (which would have been gold if it was the standard 3%), I'm on a gold streak of 28. :dopey: Despite that, I only have 1 top 100. I'm eager to get back in there again. :dopey:

Back to Goodwood today. And an improvement! :dopey: Almost a tenth and a half faster. :dopey: Turn 1 was better than my previous top lap from a couple days ago, but still off from what I am capable of. I even had a 26.571 sector 1 on one lap, only to completely stuff up the rest of the lap. :ouch: I'm going to keep pushing for a 1:24.4 or maybe a 1:24.3 if I hit everything just right. :dopey:
