The smoke seems upgraded... look @ the final part, when she brakes after the long straight...
Did I say something about nukes?People who think that consumer cars should sound like nukes going off are even more disappointing.
That's true. In gt5p you can't hear some high frequencies in the cockpit and that's perfectly normal, realistic.Forza 3 sounds very good for ears. I also note that there are very little difference in viewpoints in terms of sound in forza. In GT every view sounds very different.
People who think consumer cars sound like hardryers in real life are even more disappointing.
We all know sound is one of the biggest issues in gt series so please give it up. I've been studying sound engineering for 2 years and there's no way PD have recorded the sounds of every single car. Most of them are created with the same old samples or synthesyzed, only a few are real.
I have a good pair of ears and even with the background noise the engine sounds in this demo are just like in the prologue, period.
Actually, a properly muffled small sports car like a Miata or RX-7 sounds remarkably like a hair dryer. To some extent, so does my turbocharged Supra.People who think consumer cars sound like hardryers in real life are even more disappointing.
The yello car around 1:40 was dissapointing in how it just pushes her off the racing line for no real reason.
I think the problem is that people expect the in-car sounds to sound the same as if they are standing behind the car!
I challenge anyone to drive the Amuse Honda 2000 in Prologue, in the behind car camera, to come on here and say that PD didn't record that sound under load.
Just try it.

If they did the sounds realistic you would have to wear earplugs when playing with a Classe C (Le Mans) or the F1 2007. All your family and your neighbors too...
oh please...You need to hear more cars in real life.
I hope they will include this car Lexus LFA which was featured in Tokyo motor show. It is the most powerful and expensive Japanese car in this gen. Suppose to replace the supra.

They were running promos on LCDs and they were making a fair point about having the WRC and NASCAR licenses.
Having played GT5 at the Tokyo Motor Show I will say that the physics seem much better. There was a lot of feedback coming through the wheel and I was spun rather easily when trying to pass the AI on the inside and he nudged my bumper. That jerk! It also looks amazing! They were running promos on LCDs and they were making a fair point about having the WRC and NASCAR licenses.
I think I will be buying a ps3 soon.
No damage?
What was that article talking about?
Eh? Which article are you referring to?
I certainly went off road and learnt the definition of oversteer during that run. Three spins and two crashes later (yes, damage is finally here and awesome) I decided to give up.
