I've run a 3:51 online and 3:49 offline, I'll be content with that until everyone else figures out their cars and the track :mischievous:

{Cy}

I have a 3'51" with the 205 finally but a 3'41" first try with a S2000 R1. It's not on the list.

Well I figure I only have 200 or so cars left to test as I've figured out the basic direction to look in now.:D

Group A
Seed 1: MONSTAR-1
Player 1: Test Driver with the Car with the Fastest Lap
Player 2: Fastest Tuner with their tuned car

Group B
Seed 2: OSE_CAP__SHADOW
Player 1: Test Driver with Fastest total Lap Time with Car of his choice.
Player 2: 2nd Fastest Tuner with their tuned car
Will the people entering the tournament be allowed to change settings on their car to preference?
I ask because I assume the seasoned racers will be running their car of choice with settings of choice.

MONSTAR-1
From what I remember cars with adjustable aren't allowed. Just check with timber about that car. It's a car that I thought shouldnt be allowed either.

Yes car with front adjustable downforce values are not allowed

Can someone let me know what is the front downforce values for the standard Amuse R1.

Not adjustable, and I believe no wing.

But IMO - Definitely not an equal car, even in GT4 this car dominated, crazy handling for "no downforce", essentially a racing car.

Urmm... what's the front downforce value. I know it's not adjustable but there's a front value I believe. This was one of the cars which were debatable.

Amuse S2000 R1 '04 - Has a wing with fixed downforce I believe.
Amuse S2000 Street Version '04 - Wingless.

All of the Tuner Cars have a build in Downforce , even if it´s not visible in the Settings. ;)

Since the tuner cars have not been properly sorted out. How would the current tuners feel if I change the car selection to no tuner cars. Then it'll be the end of this confusion. 👍

Ok guys, check your R1's and let me know it's reading. ;)

I know it has downforce programmed, but good luck guessing what it may be.
Of course I could be totally wrong, so I'll double check too.

I think that's always a solid path to take.👍

Sign me up as a tuner too. Edit: I would like to also be a tester.

I will probably have a few questions about cars. Given the list of eligible tuners it will be hard to pick a regular road car. But there are also some concepts that are not likely to be better than these tuners, so I'm a bit sad they are not allowed. Edit: I understand the reason - I can't go out and buy a concept car, so that's fair.

I suppose I should ask now - what is the definition of concept? Does the word 'concept' need to be in the car name? So no
Atenza Concept '01 right? But what about for example the Mazdaspeed Atenza '05?

You can only be either a tester or a tuner. You can't be both. So after you've decided let me know.

The Mazdaspeed Atenza is okay. Yeah. Cars with word concept is not allowed.

S2000 R1 have rear wing only but dont appear any downforce on the setting panel, it's 3'40" regular

TUNER CARS ARE BE BANNED.

(Cause I've not gotten this sorted out properly yet, and I don't think there's enough concrete time to sort it out within the time frame)

Not that it matters but I think this is a wise choice.

In this case I agree with your no "tuner" cars decision as to many of them, especially the Japanese tuners, have apparently been blessed by god and fitted with invisible road magnets. When cars such as the stock S2000s and GT-Rs already get the benefit of unrealistic handling this takes things to total gonzo status.

A question to testers. Due to the amount of tunes coming in. I'm considering this option:

Top 6 times set by the tuner on their cars will be tested + 1 choice car of your choice not inside the top 6.

That's a very interesting proposition, but may lead to potential time verification problems.
10 tunes is not an issue, 20 might be, the more there are, the harder it'll get for everyone testing.

I guess that's not a problem for Catergory B.

For Catergory A, which is what you're asking. I didn't think we'll be changing anything, cause "How" can we limit the "change" for the tune. If you've got some proposition it'll be good. Maybe one way is for the tuner to adjust the car to your preference before the final showdown.

Also:
Once we get a pool of testers. we can decide on a good way of managing the submitted tunes.

The tuners and LotS regulars can choose any car they wish, and tune it anyway they wish, so this would only effect the testers.

Obviously there's no way to prove settings changes, so maybe it's a moot point, idk.
I guess I'm saying potentially a slightly slower car with a better tune can end up turning faster laps then a faster car with a worse tune, it would seem unfair to force someone to drive a specific car just because they set a faster lap with it based on predetermined tuning they had no say in.

Probably not a big deal, just saying it could happen.

Getting better 3'44"with a no normal premium road car. Surprise... in a few hours we will allow again the S2000 R1 hahaha:)

If your worried about the numbers of tunes overwhelming the available testers divide the tunes into two or more test groups then testers only have to commit to testing one group which you would assign them to so as to have as close to an equal number of testers as possible.
This would also enable you to allow tuners to test as well as they could test the group they are not in as tuners.

With the mini online tournament following It might cause some issues.

As I understand it, this is to see who can find and set up the fastest car for touge racing, I think we'll need the testers to test everything for equality, jmo.

a) Do you mean for the test driver with the best lap time to be forced to drive that particular car?
b) Or because we're testing the Top 6 cars?

If it's (a), I can just tweak the rules to be the best & 2nd best total time and 2nd best time to be chosen for the online tournament.

If it's (b), I guess we'll need to sort this out with a different method.

I think the number of tuners is fine right now, plus the testers have 2 weeks to test all the cars if you tested 2 cars a day each day for 2 weeks you could get 30 cars in, so I dont see the issue. There would be an issue if there were 10 tunes had to be in on x day and the testers had to be done with the tests 2 days later. But thats saying this right now when we have about 8ish tuners. I know I will be able to get all the cars tested.

Cool, at this moment, we'll be targetting for all cars will be tested, until further notice. The deadline for the testers maybe extended depending on the number of tunes submitted.

Also, to clarify what it means by LotS Regular Players participation means that they can sign up as a test driver or a tuner. Not bring their own cars into the shootout.
