Two more maintenance periods, 7th & 9th July

I spent a good two hours online yesterday and saw a minor difference with lobby loading times and the lag that occurs when a few people enter the track at the same time. Baby steps, really, but it's better than no improvement.

People have been saying that for 4.5 years and the servers are probably worse than they were in the summer of 2011.
 
I do not care whether any new content gets added in, all I want right now is the servers to actually work and have everyone see each other in lobbies and to have no disconnections that are the fault of the network.
 
Well. I lost a bet last time as you can see from my avatar. So I'm just gonna leave this here.

June 25th Maintenance - 2 Hours (Brought update 1.20)
July 1st - 3.5 Hours.
July 7th - 8 Hours.
July 9th - 8 Hours.

About 21.5 hours of maintenance throughout a 2 week time period. Crazy.

Servers must be so borked that they need all this time to try and fix them.

Not yet! We don't know that for sure. Don't get your hopes up too soon or too much, or you might get letdown again like 2 days ago.

Oh yeah, one more thing, doing stuff like this will get this thread shut down like last time.

Seriously though, this definitely seems like they're preparing for something.
 
Since the last time when almost everyone went out crazy and I got some warning points for "breaking" AUP Rules then the thread ended being locked.
I better just be quite and telling people to calm down so they don't get disappointed with the 2 upcoming maintenance.

When the last time did a 8 hour maintenance happened twice near each other?
Hopefully they will fix online since it gotten even worse since the last maintenance.

Well that does make sense, but this time I think they will just do server maintenance. The servers have been all bonkers since 1.20 and got worse after this past maintenance.

I want to believe that there will be something coming after this 8 hour twin maintenance but I'm not feeling it yet. It's best to not expect something and get surprised than to expect something and get letdown because there's nothing.
 
Again, anything we get from this maintenance I will consider a bonus.

I found Famine fever to be best fever. Only real side effect is the repeated appearance of indigo but other then that, all is good.
 
For those too lazy to read the whole thread from the beginning here is a summary:

It's just maintenece, it doesn't take two 8-hour maintenance periods to install an update.
 
ANybody have enough free time to photoshop our avatars onto a hype train, yes I didn't learn my lesson last maintenance.

But it would take two 8 hour maintenance periods to swap servers/update servers and make sure they're functioning normally.
 
Why is everyone wanting to go on the hype train. This is PD we're talking about, it is a hype Skyline. (I'm still not boarding the hype Skyline though).

Because the desperation levels that some people have for the course maker are over 9000. They simply can't handle an ugly truth and would rather subject themselves to beautiful lies.

Logic can explain. Most of the time, but not all the time, PD will release an update on the date of scheduled maintenance. The July 1st maintenance and the infamous double maintenance last August proved that even some maintenances do not come after an update.

Major letdown I sense coming July 7th and 9th
 
Maintenance. That's all I'm saying. Have fun getting hyped up. PD made no promises, no announcement of anything but a maintenance. If something comes, then great. If not, they didn't promise anything, so don't get all worked up over something that you should've known better about.
 
Oh my god! It's 2 long maintenance periods! Everything in every wishlist will be added! It will be the best game ever!

REALITY: Nothing.
 
*sigh* 16 hours of maintenance? Why?! Just why!?

Well, I hope PD will be able to sort out their bug problems within that time. Of course, I have little faith in that they will.
