Its taken me almost all day to collate the data but here are the results from Tsukuba.

I have looked at everyone and their exit of the final turn, as I felt this would be the only true fair way to deal with the issue. For everyone's clarity here is an example of what I used as the boundary.
Tsukuba Circuit.jpg

If anyone was noticeably more over the line they would have been using most of the rumble strip and as this didn't occur on any other corners that I noticed I felt this would be a reasonable and fair border. I have also decided on this boundary to afford some benefit of doubt. Both for me perhaps not noticing if a car went "out of bounds" and if a driver just happened to have a bad corner.

Each infraction recorded earned a 1 second penalty. "Track length" and "Time and speed gained" by running wide were considered to get to this number.

SokaGT also received an additional time penalty for 2 aggressive overtakes during the course of the race of 5 seconds a piece.

Finally Ade3210 receives 2 points for his disconnect. In respect that he was in 8th position when he D/C'd, started in 8th place and had run approximately quarter of the race distance.

Great work Gary..I really hope you don't have to go through this again as its now Nipped in the bud when it comes to Track limits and aggressive moves. You put a lot of time and effort into the Type R cup for the enjoyment of all drivers who take part in the championship..Iam sure the other drivers won't mind if I say on their behalf and myself a Big thank you for all you do for us.... ..........

Well done Gary this is amazing : I find it very nice that you gave Ade points since that it's not his fault that he got D/C'd but still as Theewar said I hope you don't go through this again.

Nice prizes GC :)

GC - Just out of interest, what was your tyre strategy in the race, did you use your harder tyres early on/mid way through, as your pace towards the end indicated you were on the grippier tyre, because I was on the hards and you had so much more grip than me, so I wondered if you were on a different strategy?

I ran a two stop strategy.
I had a failed pit entry on lap 21, and successfully pitted for a set of SH on lap 23.
Then pitted again on lap 38 for the final 20 lap sprint on a fresh set of SM. The slightly reduced laps needed after the final stop allowed me to push that little bit harder.

It was when my first lot of SM were worn that I earned most of my 1 second infractions. The battles in the early stages cost the tyres more than I would have liked.

Gentlemen. As things stand this weekend. I am unable to hold any practice sessions, due to work commitments. I have asked some of the members to step in and @GTP_ADE has kindly agreed to host a session this Sunday.

A big thank you to Ade for stepping in and I will catch up with you all next weekend.

OK guys, as Lemans time trials are over, I will be hosting a Brands Hatch practice lobby tonight. It will be open slightly earlier than normal. Im hoping to be online from 7.00pm, and will be running laps until 9.00pm. Ive kinda got hooked on the football over the last few weeks, and I want to watch the Greece/Costa Rica match at 9.00.

Great pictures Gary. I will be starting my Friday practice from about 8.00pm tonight, then hop into your lobby when it opens until 9.00pm so I can watch the Brazil match. I will then rejoin provided the match doesnt go into extra time, and/or I havnt had too many orange juices.

Speaking of which. I hope to have my room open about 20:30. Children and wife depending.

Time for an update. During last night's practice a concern was voiced about the exit of Graham Hill bend (turn 3).
ATGBrandsHatchIndy.jpg

The run off on the right hand side on exit of the bend is easily large enough to accommodate the whole car and doing so allows for faster traversal of said corner.
As this is the case, this corner exit will have a similar threshold as the final corner did at Tsukuba.

Now for some times

If this tells me anything this race will be as close as ever, with only 1.25 seconds difference in personal best times between the front and back of the field. Everyone trying to squeeze the maximum from their machines.

Tonight will see the final practice for this track. I hope to have the room open at 20:30.
See you there 👍

Some great times there. I managed a 51:4xx in my lobby last night, before GC opened his. I couldnt see the lobby, so as it was nearly 9.00, I watched the football with a few cans of OJ. Probably wont make tonight, as I promised the missus I would keep it free, due to the 24 hour race next weekend. Race you all tomorrow.

Going past Surtees and here is Gary on the Clark corner ... not funny ? ok ... fine too bad ... lol nice pics Gary I really hope you wont have to go through all oh the lap watching hell ...

Last night's final practice saw a couple of welcome additions to the sports medium PB board and some running on Sports Hard tyres also. With some very interesting results achieved by a xTehlotus_Rk. Shenanigans were called but everything was above board and legal, so the police weren't called
Here are your times for comparison. New times on the SM tyre in green.

And as usual rules and timetable reminders for you all.

And finally a reminder of the track limits regarding turn 3 (Graham Hill bend) try to keep your car within the limits of the track. Repeated travel well beyond the white line will be investigated.

See you on track tonight 👍

Race number 4 over and we've reached the halfway point in the series. I will say it now that I had a brilliant race and it was entertaining watching peoples strategies play out over the hour. But that's not why we're here right now.....

Congratulations to our podium finishers.

More detailed results will be posted tomorrow evening.

There has been an error in one possible combination of build for the next stage so there will be a minor adjustment. 294BHP instead of the stated 295BHP in the graphic. This too will be corrected tomorrow.

Next stop Silverstone.

As promised some more complete results.

I've not had chance to look at the replay in detail yet but I feel a special mention has to go to xTehLotus_Rk for a ballsy attempt at running most of the race on Sports Hard tyres.

It's at this point i feel I should re-iterate that you are only allowed two sets of the option(fast) tyre. This may become much more of a consideration when planning strategies in future races.

Tonights practice session depends on you.

A sweeping statement, but let me explain.
I have had my attendance requested by gtp_Ade to help out on his final practice session before he and his Sunday Cup team undertake a full 24 hour endurance race.

Three type r cup drivers are in the four man team, with gtp_ade being team principle. And they are also some of the more regular attendees to my practice sessions.

In a show of support to their challenge this weekend, I would like to join their final practice. I realise this will clash with Type R Cup practice and as this is the case I say again.

This depends on you.

If you were going to join me tonight, please let me know. If the numbers are high enough I will hold the type r practice as normal. If not, I will join the Sunday Cup'ers and tomorrow will be the first Official Silverstone international practice.

I hope to have tonights practice room open by 21:30 BST. Hopefully I'll see some of you there. If you can year yourselves away from the le mans 24 hour that's going on.

A fun, if not lightly attended practice session last night. When I manage to get the times from the runs we did, I will get them posted here. As best my memory serves we had purple times of around 1:10.2.

Sadly I won't be able to host a session tonight. And some drivers will be wanting a rest after their full 24 hour feat. So the best I can do is next Saturday, at the moment. I will petition to get on Friday, but I can make no guarantees at this point.

Time to pull my finger out

Now we are in the 3rd stage of the series we now have a new adjustable component in the car, the fully customizable gearbox. This might mean the difference of a clean overtake on the fast circuit that is Silverstone international.
