With the times posted in last weekend's practice the amount of laps has been determined.

Tonights practice room will be opened after I have hosted my 500pp event. I hope to have it open around 21:30 BST. It might be as late as 22:00 BST if things over run. I will message all of those on-line when I open the room.

I have weekends off now sorry I missed some races. How can I check what time race starts in USA EASTERN TIME ZONE

To be sure so it will be 4:30pm USA EASTERN TIME ZONE can some1 please confirm to make sure I'm correct.

The race time start on Sunday, according to timeanddate.com is 3pmEDT So today's practice will start around 4:30pmEDT.

The final practice session has given one new time and one improvement. Will they come good in the race? On this fast and narrow street course, it won't just be fast lap times that will secure a win.
Room will be open 20:00BST/15:00EDT tomorrow.

An apology.

You would have thought by now that that, given my experience in allowing the faster drivers through, I would have had the good sense not to do what I did last night. Sorry Warren.

Just to explain, having kicked off the race on Comfort Soft's and completed 7 laps I pitted and can out all shiny and new with the Sport Hard's and was having some consistent laps. That said the race leaders were catching, but encouragingly not at an embarrassing pace. Giorgio passed through and Warren was closing in, I allowed him through on the corner before the start-finish straight. Keeping close enough to him I caught some of his air and coming up the 1st left-hander I had a little more speed than him and left the braking a little late, coming up on his inside.

Yes, I should have hung off and played safe but got caught up in the moment. In a racing situation, for a place, it would have been a legitimate overtake, but it was naughty, very naughty in the position I was in. Whoops, and once again, sorry. And so, your 10 seconds blast on your horn was well justified, and even though the mikes were off I'm pretty sure that I still heard a few ****s thrown in for good measure!

You may have noted that the next time you came by I conveniently threw myself into the nearest wall (although you may have mis-interpreted this as my usual driving style!)

That aside I did enjoy the race last night, even if at times it was a little lonely. I think my best lap was 2:03:017, which was most pleasing and I believe is the first race where I have finished in within the allotted time. Thanks for bearing with me boys.

Kind regards

Alastair

With the first stage of racing complete, it's time to start applying some more upgrades.

And to take the cars from the streets to the track.
If anyone has any queries about the upgrades, please don't hesitate to ask.

At this point I am looking for a patsy... er.. I mean proxy, to host this coming Saturday evening's practice session. It is mine and Mrs CTR's Wedding anniversary, so I will be otherwise disposed.

Great... see u all on the track tonight :D

A quick race report from last night...

First of all, congrats to Giorgio for the win and and to the podium finishers.

As I've not been very well recently, I'd not had much time online and none at all in the civic or practicing this track. So the race was a steep learning curve, the first few laps being a bit tentative but I got into a groove. Had some good battles with Ade and GC in the early stages, and then I got punted off unceremoniously (see below) , I had some catching up to do after that... bit by bit I closed down on the group ahead and managed to re-pass Ade and GC. My finishing position is as good as I could possibly have expected, all things considered....

Just a word to Mr Smiley. I felt that your race etiquette left a little to be desired in last night's race. First of all, your constant beeping of the horn is rather annoying, especially when you are the one with the lack of manners on the track, and the one at fault for the indiscretions.

Secondly, if I am entering a long radius corner from a wide line, then you try and shove a nose in so that it gets clipped (but nowhere near to having even a quarter of a car length alonside), please do not beep and then retaliate by purposely ramming me off the track into the wall.

Thirdly, if you push someone off the track (which of course you should not do anyway), do not carry on regardless. Stop and wait for the driver to re-pass.

Sorry, but I just had to vent that.

Apart from the incidents just described, the rest of the race was enjoyable.

Sorry Gary but the podium has something wrong lol weescotman in in 3rd ans there is a star next to him that says 2nd and same for theewar ... appart from that it was a great race shame I didn't have a good strategy :) see you all for the next race.

Glad you noticed.
They are the results from the race 1. Each race, a star will be added to EVERY avatar picture.
When the series is complete I intend to return them to each driver as a memento.

In a little over three hours Type R cup goes up against the Sunday Cup. With a GT2 spec nsx against a enduro spec evora, at Circuit de la Sarthe. @GTP_ADE will be streaming his view of the 2 hour endurance race. If you are interested in watching head over to the Sunday Cup thread via the link in my sig.

Just a heads-up that I may not be able to make the race next Sunday, although I will try. Basically I help organise a local youth football tournament, which runs over both Saturday and Sunday and I'll either still be there, down the pub after or more likely dead to the world! If I'm still conscious I will try my best to be there and of course will get involved in practice prior to the race in any case.

See you this Sunday.

Thanks for the heads up. 👍
There won't be a practice session hosted by me today, as it is my wedding anniversary. Also I wouldn't expect a high turn out given that it is Le Mans 24 hour and England's first world cup match. Should anyone be practicing and wouldn't mind others joining them, feel free to use the thread to let everyone know.
Otherwise, see you Sunday.

Firstly, an apology for the lateness of this post. Secondly, tonights practice at Tsukuba will be open at 20:30BST. Having added a few more modifications to the car. Here's another reminder of what they are
TrackDayBuild_zps66b0fae4.jpg
The car has no more adjustable parts added other than a few kilos of ballast. But will be lighter, and thus quicker. It will likely require small changes to the suspension to compensate. Tonight will tell. See you there 👍

Not sure if I will make it tonight. After the 2 hour Lemans race, and then watching the real Lemans for nearly all of the 24 hours, im feeling a bit boxed. Also, its fathers day, and as I have kind of neglected the good lady nearly all weekend, I think I need to keep her sweet for now, considering whats coming up in a month. I will however be practicing as much as possible next week, so may catch some of you then.

This Sunday just gone has set the lap count for this coming Sunday's race at Tsukuba.

Pay particular attention to the 15/58 minimum laps on the slower tyre. The maths isn't quite as precise as previous rounds.

Anyway, for those of you who didn't come to the practice session. Here are the best times that were posted.

This will be a test of awareness from all participants. Many laps on a short track with a likelihood of high tyre wear. There is a strong possibility of lapping and multiple pit stop strategies over the course of an hour.

If you do find yourself behind a back marker you may use your lights to try to gain their attention. Use of the horn as a last resort, but please be sparing in its use. When you do overtake, do it safely and ideally with no contact. No corner dives.
If you are the back marker being lapped and you feel the lapping car is close enough, you could possibly:
take a wide line into a corner and hold that wide line taking care not to turn in on the lapping driver. I think this goes without saying, should they too run wide and run you off track, they are obliged to let you back in front of them.
or
hold a tight exit allowing the lapping car to overtake on exit of the corner.
I don't feel there is enough straight on this track for easy lapping. but that doesn't mean it cannot be done.

One further note, If it is your intention to pit, make it clear by staying right on the final straight and beware your entry speed on worn tyres as you may get spat back out onto track and ruin more than your own race.

Today has the final practice session for race #3 at Tsukuba. I hope to have the room open at 20:30BST/15:30EST.
Please bear in mind that update 1.09 has stated that it has corrected the camber tuning problem. This will mean that your current set up might need adjusting to accommodate this change, and push times quicker still.

In other news one of our drivers has retired from the series. I have asked giorgio_57 if he would like to fill the vacancy and he has accepted the full time seat.

I also hope to see some of our other, yet to race registered drivers. Cobani, Arizonaislife, Pichon617 & Harskgaming96.

Ran a few laps last night with Warren, Will, Capt Gary, Cobani and Paul. Low to mid 02's were my average times. Will try and make it tonight, but I have a rare child free evening, and will be taking the missus to the pub for dinner. If I do get on, I will have beer goggles on. LOOK OUT!!!!

All practice is finished for race number three in the calendar, with a couple of small improvements to show from the final practice. Can anyone squeeze any more from the lap times during the race? With depleted fuel levels as the race progresses, I'm certain it could happen.

Qualifying will be a very busy affair tonight. With potentially 16 drivers on a very short track. Take your time and be patient, you have time enough for 10+ laps of qualifying. When you have done your lap please keep your pace up and pull into the motorcycle chicane after the Dunlop bridge or the sand run off on the final turn. Hold your position there until the race starts.

The lobby rules once again.

And the timetable.

See you tonight and good luck.

Amazing race Gary thank you ... had a bit of difficulties with my car : I now know that I shouldn't mess about with the suspensions before the race ... had a lot of good races with @CTR Driver and @Goodwolf I really want you do keep going with these races because one day I might be able to get a 1st place lol
Keep putting in the effort and it will happen. And when you find out how remember to share the secret with me :D

With the events of the evening being as they are. I will need to take some time to look over the replay. As such there may be a delay in the final results from Tsukuba. I will endeavour to get it posted tomorrow evening, however I might not get enough time to look over everything during the day.

In the meantime thank you all for joining what has turned out to be quite an eventful race 👍

Ok, so curiosity got the better of me and decided to take a look at the race replay in order to see on which lap or laps my car wasn't where it was supposed to be. I understand that I should have been present during practice sessions in order to be fully aware about our race track boundaries. The result is that I kept 2 wheels on the inner red and white stuff on every lap. If you guys decided that the whole of the car should remain within both curb strips, then I'm guilty of exceeding track boundaries on the first laps of the race until I was cautioned about it. But then again, a number of cars went over the second curb strip on many occasions, that's why I was a bit confused during the race so as to what I was being cautioned for. Thank you to the person that pointed out the situation (Warren was it?), as I tried to keep the whole car within the curb from then on.
I want to be present at practice sessions, only real life keeps me from it.
I had a real good time racing with you guys once again, looking forward to the next one!

I will do ... If you give me 100€ :D
Hmmmm.... £25 sterling, max.

Progress report on Race analysis. I'm up to lap 25.

And seeing as I didn't get a image of the finishing order I will have to manually calculate everyone's race times. Unless anyone else had a picture of that screen they would be willing to share?
