I think im 90% sure ill be there, no clue on equipment though, only a geoff amos bus journey for me

@ my previous post
it's style of 'dance' popular here in belgium and the netherlands called 'jumpen'.
I think it's quite ridiculous. Even kids in primary schools do it without the 'music'.

Alongside the GT4-play, does any reckon there'll be room for some Forza 2 play in the future of UKGTP? I know there are a lot of Forza players out there!

Hmmm United Kingdom Gran Turismo Party...... with Forza.

That could work.....

What is Forza again?

👎:irked:

Haha Forza sucks as i have tested it recently and the GT5 Prologue demo is out on the 20 of October and full Pologue due out on the 13 of December 👍

I took an XBox along to UKGTP6 with Forza.

ONE person was brave enough to try it - and had the same conclusion I did. Everyone else watched and couldn't believe how poor it was.

After 6 minutes of driving the car the wrong way round the track just to see the badly-simulated crash effects, we went back to GT4.

I think Forza at UKGTP wouldn't be a success...

I don't mind bringing my copy of Enthusia Professional Racing along. I mean, you can even insert it into ye olde Plaiystachionne Twoe.

That's the first time I've come across hands-on-reviews of Forza that gave me a solid feel of how it compares to GT4. Thanks chaps. Now, how about Forza 2? ROFL.

Here you are i had a guy at work go to me, "so when is gt5 out then???, haha Forza 2 is out now, its great, how long you gotta wait :P". Im like what ever... Anyway i had all these xbox 360 guys telling me it so good and a match for gt5, so off i went to my bro's to half inch his 360. Then down to the vid shop to rent Forza 2, well first off i could hear the 360 form down stairs when it was up in my room :crazy:. Jet power haha, anyway then to test it for the first time. Well the graphics are ok but not a match for gt5 in anyway, the dfp don't work on Forza either bah. The cars are rated by points and not power, ie 1-10 and not 300bhp or alike. Everything is rated arcade style and there is lots of grip but non if you want to accelerate out of a turn in a RWD car, just wheel spin. But i did have to use the xbox controller as my Dfp!! won't work on it.
Well you know that guy who was taking the piss about when gt5 was coming out, well he cam back to recently. "Mike when GT5 comes out will you tell me and i will be round yours in a flash", you what???? i thought you were a Forza man??? " Oh no i was just playing forza to pass the time til gt5 came out", Haha

Six of the dullest and unrealistic minutes of my life - and i've sat through an episode of Eastenders before!

Not quite. They still have BHP. The points are worked out by how powerful the car is, how light, how well it handles, etc, and outputs to a certain figure.

In my honest opinion, I prefer Forza 2's physics just because they are more sophisticated. It might not be as realistic, but I can drift properly and the limits of each car can be felt quite easily.

I never played the original Forza, but Forza 2 I quite enjoyed. It was never going to be better than GT5.

All I will say is play Forza 2 if you get the chance because it isn't a bad game at all.

Why play a game that isn't bad when you can play a superb one?

Well, I was going to say that Forza 2 is better than GT4, but you can't really compare as Forza 2 is for a next gen system. Don't get me wrong, GT4 is awesome.

GT5 will be so much better than Forza 2.

I think Forza 2 offers better physics than GT4.

/runs hard

I agree with you on the physics. The only thing GT4 has over Forza2 is some of the tracks and GT4 is more JDM. Oh and the cars normal stats can be easily displayed with a couple of button presses. Also Forza 2 has non retarded AI, a decent enough level of damage enough to encorage me to drive less dirty and online play. Also a fair few other things

Not OMG ITS RUBBISH I PLAYED IT FOR 5MINUTES AND I HATED IT LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL GT RULEZZZZZZZZ FLOPZA 2 SUXXX

Don't get me wrong it's not perfect, but then neither are any of the GT games by a longshot.

Can you please change my steering wheel from a DFF to a DFP, I'm a proud new father. :)

Memory Card on your way too, Famine.

Right, my Mum got an e-mail from my Aunt today and all is good, so I don't need accomodation and I will be there...

Obergruppenfuhrer Venari hier.

Have you got accommodation?

Have you transport organised?

Have you ensured you have your equipment ready?

Am I getting on your nerves yet?

One month to go. The chill is setting in here, bring warm clothes.

Speaking of which, although I have an inexpensive t-shirt supplier primed (thnk you you know who you are) I have no UKGTP8 logo finished yet (because I am rubbish!)

It's not far off.

Having friends stay around at the moment is ensuring my preparedness for hosting guests here at Castle Venari. Are there any final questions as we set our NASA-style UKGTP8 countdown to T minus 28 days 13 hours 4 minutes 5.4 seconds?

Looking forward to seeing the MR2, Race Idiot... is it going to be ready? The pics I've seen are missing one or two important items. :D

It has an engine in it, just a non hairdryer one. I'm taking it to the garage next weekend to get everything changed over from the donor car to mine.

Ah. Is the eventual, final power source going to be a revver, or a Revlon?

Is there an internet connection where the next venue takes place?

Should be interesting if there was a pc with a video camera instead of a webcam, so we can all watch the event at home.

We did try that at 6; the problem isn't the equipment, it's the hosting of the video - it costs a fair bit for a not-so-good quality webcam.

Of course, if you have any ideas, spit 'em out! :)

* Use a video camera instead of a webcam. The quality of the picture is much better and you have sound as well, if you use a microphone.

* create a hotmail account solely for these event. You could name it: "UKGTP". Members from GTP can add this address to there msn list.

The image is not impressive but it's better than nothing.
