Nightclubs ! Unless there's a decent rock venue in town then I think you can safely say that's a polite declination from the Sukerkin camp.

Sitting in the bar of the hotel chatting about GT and setting the world to rights over a bottle or so of vino is more my speed I'm afraid.

Well, you won't be sitting there alone sukerkin.
I don't like nightclubs either, but a rock venue sounds better indeed.

Got scared just waiting at the chippy across the road at the last lan!!
Those 2 guys arguing (almost fighting) was very funny :)
One guy was running away from the other one :dopey:

When we talk about rock bars I'm picturing a smokey saloon where bikers hang out. Leather waistcoats, moustaches, female (and sometimes male) bar staff wearing home made denim hot pants

If it's remotely like that count me in (unless the name of the bar is called the Blue Oyster).

moustache and scruffy beard: check
leather boots: check
riding jacket : check
leather gloves: check
cool trousers: check

now all i need is a chopper , a tattoo and a love for drinks containing alcohol ;)
(oh, and a driver license for anything that goes faster than 45km/h)

Tommy Flynns FTW! Really nice laid back Irish pub, this is probably the 5th post I've made about it in this thread alone but from my single experience there, its a really nice pub.

Then you also always have the Chicago Rock Cafe for the more lively amongst yee..

Actually, Tommy Flynn's is fun. And it's about <---this---> far away from The Cromwell.

Hello Bee! *waves-goodnight-coz-its-bedtime*

I bought the trousers it in a gothic shop, if you want to know.
It's the only time we went into a clothing store for my sister and i bought something :)

And they aren't exactly cool, they are thick enough to wear theme during winter.
(and a strong winter, not a dull one like we had this year)

As long as there aren't any magnets in the vicinity there is no problem ;)

I think I will also be going to tommy Flynns, I am not much of a club/bar lounge person. So is that 4 people so far for the pub?

Pub yes, nightclub no. Drill-sergeant V has me up at the crack of dawn :scared: to be at the Cromwell installing equipment so we can have a reasonable starting time to run GT4. :D

After all that's what we're here for....gt4, right?
AMG.

Here we go again

Do you know how much coffee that guy drinx?
I couldnt possibly....... eeeuuuuggh......

👎:irked:

Sorry to cause complications but can you take my ps2 off the equiptment list as its being traded in for a nice shiny PS3. I can bring that instead if it works the same as a ps2 would.

Spec....

I hate you. If you bring that with you, you wont be bringing it back home. :mischievous:

I don't think they network too well with the PS2's very well, atleast thats what I think Famine said, if they do network well, then I will bring my PS3 down also, Sorry Bee.

If I'm there, then i'll be there with PS2, luccudatuv, memory card and GT4. If i'm not there, then the equipment mentioned above will make its own way there without me. I'm still waiting on the October off-duty appearing at work and until that point, I can't commit to anything.
I'm aware this is a random posting of mostly useless information but i'm celebrating have a return of internets, it's probably shortlived so i'm going to post as much as possible in a short space of time

Right. I am back and prodding buttock. I need to bring myself up to speed with who's coming and what they're bringing, but as far as I can tell, we've got 30 loonies coming with lots of stuff. My nice little backup idea for stuff seems to have been without result, but no-one knew about that anyway so no great loss.

I have but 2 requests...

1. BRING TELEVISIONS. BRING MANY, MANY TELEVISIONS.
2. Bit of a weird one, this. One of the most time-consuming parts of the set-up (because everyone knows how to plug their own PS2 in) is memory card cloning, to get the settings and favourites onto each machine. So I'm going to make a request.

Anyone who can... post me your memory cards. You need to take all of your data off because I will be cloning a GT4 gamesave over it and it'll need space for the network settings. You'll also need to label it up so you and I both know it's yours.

The more cards I have cloned before the event, the less time we have to spend cloning cards and setting machine identities and the more time we all have to race.

PM me your address and it'll be winging its way to you by Monday - unless your abode is roughly where I think it is, in which case I might just stick it though your door as I'll be in that part of the country next weekend anyway.

I can bring 3 TVs.

Sorry, but i have only one and i still need to practice :)
And I found 2 prizes to take along.
I would take some beer with me, but don't know if it's allowed at the venue?
(don't know if they have Duvel or some other brand of Belgian beer)

+ i don't know how many people who are attending actually drink beer

Nothing to stop you drinking it in your room, DD. Or, at Castle Venari, where a small soiree could be arranged. I think thirty+ people might bust the abutments though, as I've mentioned, the castle is more of the 'compact and bijou' variety.
