Every other country gets UK Top Gear in one form or another so can it not work the other way?

I don't believe so. Most of Top Gear UK's appeal is the 'British' humour that we are treated to every episode. Top Gear Australia is a useless failure of a show and now that someone who plays a trumpet hosts it, it's even more woeful.

In response to your last sentence. It's about the quality, not the quantity.

Top Gear episodes now available on Xbox Live Marketplace
Here around Autoblog's virtual offices, there are few things on which we love to spend our down time more than watching Top Gear and playing on our Xbox 360. So it comes as a special bit of parenthetical news that the hit British BBC show has now become available directly on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Season 10, 11 and 12 are now available on the Microsoft content site, with each 570MB episode costing 160 points (equivalent to $2).

Unfortunately, some edits have been made to the downloadable installments, with licensing concerns forcing them to replace some of the music, and while the 12th season episodes remain in their full 60-minute glory, seasons 10 and 11 have had their episodes trimmed down to 50 minutes (give or take), usually at the expense of the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car segment and the news (which isn't newsworthy anymore anyway...that's what we're here for). Check it out on the Xbox Live Marketplace for all the details.

I purchased all of Season 12 just the other day. Shame they're in SD, though.

Coming up on Season 13.

Just a little over 2 weeks away.

WOT!!!??? Why would they do that?!?!?!?!

Trying to start a war with the XXXX. I mean, it's not like there are another ten trillion evo's flying around.

Apparently Jeremy Clarkson and many of the BBC's highest paid stars have been told to expect massive pay cuts earlier today (link) :nervous: Although, I expect Clarkson makes most of his cash from Top Gear through his joint ownership of the rights to the programme, as opposed to merely presenting the show - but this might not bode well for the others (May, Hammond) who will be more sensitive to a salary cut...

An advert for the new series has turned up on TV. It doesn't show much but it's a good idea for an ad!

That's great. I can't wait for the new season. :D

Even though I've already seen them, I've been watching the last 2 seasons on BBC America. My mom watched the southern United States road trip episode with me and even she was laughing. I love this show. :D

It's shaping up to be a corker of a series. That snow rally looks interesting, and the classic car rally will be sure to bring the laughs.

Less than a week away now, chaps.

It’s less than a week to go until the new series of Top Gear (8pm, Sunday June 21, set your video recorder/Sky Plus-type device. Then set it again just to make sure).

With excitement reaching virulent, fever-pitch levels, today’s Series 13 preview plunges us straight into the high-octane, high-stakes world of… airport vehicle racing!

In the last series, the boys successfully used the crucible of motorsport to solve the issue of what the best bus would be for London. And it turns out that you can solve almost any problem with some Armco and a chequered flag, so for this series, Jeremy, James and Richard have turned their attention to the thorny topic of airport delays.

The thinking goes something like this: apart from the planes – which are rather fast – every other aspect of air travel is painfully slow. Getting your luggage, waiting for the catering truck, the shuttle bus to get to the plane – it all takes an age.

Enter Top Gear, our Touring Car professors and a grid composed of every sort of airport vehicle you can imagine. Race on!

It is time for more info.

Six days to go until Sunday nights get good again – and here’s another exclusive Mole preview.

The premise behind this film is simple – the producers sent Jeremy, Richard and James out to buy a proper sports car for less than £1,500 and packed them off to France for a road trip.

Sounds rather agreeable, but there were a couple of catches – the finish line was in the Alps and the final challenge was an Andros Trophy-style ice race.

And by ‘proper sports car’ they meant rear-wheel drive – so the boys basically end up racing three knackered old coupes against snorting, snarling, lightweight four-wheel-drive, four-wheel-steer, purpose-built rally machines.

One of them, The Mole can reveal, doesn’t quite make it…

I'm really looking forward to this race. I love Rally, and I can't wait to see James flinging that little car around on the ice.

Literally minutes to go until Top Gear 13 starts – OK, it’s a few days, but once you cut out the time for sleeping, washing, working and so on, you’ve barely got any time left to get worked up – so here’s another preview. One the Mole’s been looking forward to more than the rest.

That’s because it combines two of the Mole’s – and everyone else’s – favourite things in all the world: Top Gear’s astonishing camerawork… and Ken Block’s astonishing driving.

If you haven’t seen Ken Block’s two gymkhana videos, then – actually, stop reading right now, go and watch them, then come back.

Not bad, huh? Top Gear’s thinking went something like this: the Gymkhana is amazing, but what would things be like if we gave Ken the run of an airport, brought along our famed cinematic skills, asked Ken to invite along an ace motocross rider to spar with… and then threw in TG’s ace X Games specialist, Travis May Jnr?

The Mole has had a quick peek at the results, and can happily reveal that the film is simply spectacular. If you’re wondering where James fits into the whole thing, let’s just say he’s right in the middle of the action.

 Pastrana and Block! That episode shall be godly!

Unless of course they just remake the car-motorbike crossover jump thats already been done in the Nitro Circus Films.

Wow, I did not see this one coming. Block is insane. Should give the Ol' runway a good thrashin'.

Can't wait.

I don't think it's got Pastrana in, not from what I read anyway. 👍

have heard that there was some german ex f1 racer there with a chaved up enzo there today doing some video and also lewis is allowed to redo is lap in the dry to see who would be faster

Ok I just presumed it was Pastrana as the words "ace motorcross rider" and "Travis May Jr" were mentioned. Would be cool though.

Not a 100% sure, seeming they word those things so then you don't know exactly whats going on. So Travis might be in it, might not though.
