As much as I agree with the sentiments above, I'd still cut off my right arm and sell my Grandmother for the Benz.

You'd probably have to go for the Automatic version then.

I think Kaz should appear on a Top Gear episode and post a lap. I bet he'd be pretty fast

He'd have to bring his infamous translator along with him.

That said, apparently he can understand and speak English, but chooses to use a translator. So maybe he could be interviewed afterall.

I think Kaz just feels he doesn't get the right things across in English as even speaking it fluently it can be difficult to really translate some ideas and meanings. He doesn't want to be mis-understood, as he so frequently is these days when people straight-translate his japanese.

I feel this is correct, afterall if you are the responsible for pitching your product to the world, you want to be pretty sure you are getting you're message across clearly. If you aren't 100% confident of your fluency, why take the risk?

Returning to Top Gear, while Kaz is obviously linked with Top Gear, I think the chances of him appearing on the show are very slim.

Might as well comment on last week's episode before this week's fourth episode of series 15. I thought episode 3 last week was actually another good one. So far the first three episodes have been fine and actually not rubbish.

Rubens did a great lap of the Top Gear track with the Suzuki Liana that actually beat the Stig lap but will feel that the Stig may try again to beat Rubens lap on the Top Gear track. The four door supercar segment was actually not that bad and they said it was not "staged", you cannot fool us Hammond, Clarkson and May try harder next time! Star in the Reasonable Priced Car section was just fine and the muscle car well I feel the weakest section and could have been replaced with a decent car review on British roads or something else.

Farnborough Business Park last week. Fleet service station this week. At the rate they're closing in to my house, I expect the last show of the series to be held in my kitchen.

Anyone else notice the blue Type 2 bay window camper in the background on half the shots in the camping segment this week? Someone on the crew has good taste :D

Damn it! I just remembered about Top Gear right now! 🤬 x infinity!

I'm looking forward to seeing this episode, it looked like it was going to be rather amusing. I'm really really looking forward to episode 6 though on the 1st of August.

That was hilarious. Loved the RV segment, especially with the finale (I won't spoil it for the ones who HAVEN'T seen it!!) and the R8 v 911T comparo was good, but could Jezza atleast launch a damn AWD car properly?? Loses both races, first in the 911, then again in the R8 after he decided to switch cars!

Wut? That was the point of that AWD race, he even said it.

Loved the episode, so far I've found this series better than the last. I'm nitpicking here now but I'm getting pretty bored of Clarkson making these increasingly stupid 'in tonights show' intros, at first he made a couple of laughs but now he's dragged it out for so long and applied it to every part of the intro it's just tacky, please Jezza stop it. On a lighter note, I'd love to use James Mays creation.

I realise that sweetshop, but the point I'm making is that with ALL the cars that he's tested and driven over the years, surely he would've learnt the ability to launch an AWD car properly without needing a launch control or any other gizmo's like that. :) It's not like you need to be a touring car driver to learn to launch properly.

For the Senna piece?

The Senna piece is during episode 5, episode 6 is supposed to be one of those "buy a car" challenges with roadsters or something. Plus Jeff Goldblum is the SIARPC and I've always like him. The Senna piece doesn't interest me though.

I'm sure he can, but he was making that point. Most people who buy those cars won't be able to launch them properly.

The best ever one was:
Clarkson: "James says hello to a man"
May in the clip: "Orite"

I thought the fourth episode was pretty good. Though I could've done without the last bit in the campervan segment. For the most part though, very funny! But regarding the length of the series, I think six episodes is way too short. I know, being an American, any season with less than 24 episodes seems short. And I know that Top Gear is an expensive show to produce, but six episodes just isn't enough. If I recall correctly, series ten had ten episodes, and series ten in my opinion is the best Top Gear series yet. So why can't Top Gear make another series ten caliber series?

It's possibly because the stock the of presenters has risen so much. While Clarkson seems to produce endless DVDs in his time-out, Hammond and May can usually be found on TV once or twice in the week presenting various programs.

Epic. Though I'd have much preferred them individually.

I actually prefer the small runs of episodes, it means they are less likely to run out of ideas, it doesn't get boring or repetitive like so many shows that run every week and they can do more expensive episodes if there are fewer.

TG isn't a commercial show. The money they're spending is ours via the TV licence. So you'll forgive me if I'd prefer them to make good shows with slightly less of my money ;)

But Series Ten had both quality and quantity! And you'd think that they would be making more money now.

They don't make money, they justify their budget.

As much as people love to complain about the TV license, I think its great. The quality of the coverage of sports and the various programmes shown on the BBC are pretty satisfying to me. One only has to watch any sporting event on any other channel pretty much to be reminded why.
I hope it continues and I hope the BBC continue to expand things like the red button streams. Hopefully people get to use the red button properly on freeview in future.

(and yes, I'm still loving BBC F1 coverage :D The only thing to fix is Legard)

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong: I justify what I pay for the licence by how much BBC stuff I watch, they still have easily the best programming.

I just like to know I'm getting good value. A few very good shows are better than a load of average ones.

I wasn't mentioning anything about Top Gear using, making or losing money.

I just prefer a quantity of money over quality of it.
