Was really tempted to check it out,but thought better leave it as a surprise,if any one wants to discuss it here please use spoiler tags please :D

So I bought Topgear magazine today which has a 4-page preview to the new series...it looks like it'll be a good one!

Call me cynical but the entire race seemed like an advert for Avis and New Zealand. Otherwise, not a bad episode.

Pretty boring episode. They've done the open celebrity guest thing three times now and the race was pretty uneventful except for Jeremy driving like a moron on purpose twice for a 'joke'.

The SIARPC segment was good, the introductory ones always are, though earlier editions have been better. I liked the hot hatches segment mainly, the news wasn't awful, plus the race was actually quite interesting, even in the spirit of
seeing May suffer

Decent start all in all, though I'd be interested to know the episode count, I doubt it is more than 6.

Not sure the ending joke was quite necessary though.

Yep, 1/6 my freeview guide said.

Ah well, just the 6 then, I guess their uber-crowded schedules outside of Top Gear don't allow them anymore time than that, plus the budget most go pretty quickly!

Good start to the series I thought, I don't think many people would have predicted that the reasonably priced car was an Astra! Makes a change from the Japanese/Korean ones they've had in the past...

Funniest bit for me was when Jeremy said 'ive got a secret' to which Hammond replied 'oh is it time'!
