Still a few random crude gags but I did enjoy this one. P1 was interesting as expected, James's military segmemt varied from lighthearted to serious rather well. Much better than last week!

The difference was like night and day compared to last weeks. This was a really good episode that had the right balance of silliness being informative (they should let May do more segments) and even the special guest was interesting. The only slight annoyance was the gushing from Clarkson about the P1 but all in all I would like to see it again.

Why this wasn't the season opener is beyond me.

Normal service is resumed everyone!

Erotic tendencies towards Alfa Romeos, awkward but fabulous races, spectacular photography, penis jokes, information, incredible photography, Spa Francorchamps, ludicrous hyperbole, amazing photography and the possibility of having J. Clarkson stand for Jennifer Clarkson by the end of the season.

It's got a place in the classic's vault and it definitely made my weekend.

loved that episode, that race was surprisngly fun and the filming in Italy was just gorgeous, the Alfa looks to be a good road car (driving wise)as opposed to the track where it falls short, that Military segment was rather good although it's a subject I don't care at all about, Tom was awesome, the P1 bit was very good, seeing it on the road made my mind that it's a rather attractive car, still not really warming up to it, I like the 918 more to be honest so can't wait for Hammond to have a go.

will watch that episode again no doubt.

I also really enjoyed the episode the Alfa-Quad bike race and the P1 test was nicely done and the May feature on Military vehicles in Afganistan was both fascinating and well researched, the funniest part of the episode for me was when Jezza asked the American girl in the crowd why they put Strawberries on everything, the girl said 'because they taste good'...jezza 'yes, but not in a Shepards pie!'

Also, Tom Hiddleston's impression of Jezza was brilliant!

My only problem is that the Stig hasn't put a lap in yet, he didn't last week and they are waiting for the 918 test before giving the P1 to the Stig which is fine but why didn't they give him the Alfa and put a lap in there? I would've liked to have seen where it ended up on the board..

Because the weather is awful in England (which does not happen often).

It has been lately, its been appalling, hence why the first two guests have done wet laps..

No not at all  remember seeing a review where it was outclassed by the Cayman, they even said the GT-86 was a lot more fun.

For a road car, no power steering, no storage compartment, apparently loud road noise, lack of actual comfort. Sounds more like a track car in my opinion.

That episode was class, exactly what I needed to convince myself I should continue watching.

The Alfa is probably my favourite car currently on sale (In terms of actually wanting to own one on a regular basis), and I loved the look of the Quad-ski as well. The P1 piece was pretty good and the Star In A Reasonably Priced Car section was one of the best I've seen. Hopefully this form will continue for what's left of the series. 👍

Oh, and hi (possible) Jennifer. ;) For the record, I feel the P1 will probably be quicker.

Yes very good point, I meant it as a car that is fun for a road blast not to live with.

The second episode was much better, still a few cringe inducing scripted moments. I don't mind scripted moments just don't make them so obvious and silly all the time. Overall though I enjoyed it.

For those who weren't listening they had to record the 4C and ATV race twice, because "an American bumped the footage into the water"

Rule one of Top Gear is not to believe Top Gear.

Thank you Netflix for letting me view BBC in the US ! I love Top Gear so much ! My wife enjoys it as well. I just discovered it recently and have been watching it in marathons. I love when they crack on Nascar because I crack on Nascar a bit to friends that like it. They almost take it personally. I don't understand why F1 and especially Rally are not big over here. Rally has all the elements of the Dukes Of Hazard minus the cops. I would think at least the south would get it. Nope.

One interesting thing is how our Egyptian Petrol stations are awesome, we have a petrol station worker who fills up your car then you pay him without getting out. /topic
