The Stig just crashed the CCX at 130mph through the follow-through. He was on a lap that could have beaten the Zonda F at the top of the Power Board.

The CCX was good, but it has problems putting down the power. I reckon we see the Veyron racing on the track in 2 eps, also that was class how they made the car wash get on fire.

I wonder if Top Gear will bring a book out, 100 and 1 ways of how to destory public stuff lol. In other words the car wash got owned lol.

Well the good thing is that they are going to put a rear wing on the CCX to try and keep the back end in check, and give it back to Top Gear to see if it really can beat the Zonda F. I can't wait to see that.

Setting fire to a car wash was hilarious though. Loved it.

Great to have top gear back on the tv.

lmao WHAT A FANTASTIC START! that seriously must be the best episode of Top Gear i've seen in a long time, or to that extent, EVER! i loved the people carrier project! RUN, JUST RUN!!!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

The Zonda F is mainly built for corners and racing in a line. The CCX is just for going fast mainly in a line.

But I wonder how much BBC had to pay, towards the repair costs of the car wash. I,m saying £50,000-£70,000.

Woah Stiggy damaged the CCX, but how cool is it to see a manufacturer accept the challenge and advice even after their car was slightly damaged on the show !

BBC
Jeremy Clarkson drives an insanely powerful Swedish supercar, Richard Hammond races a jet powered canoe and the boys create a convertible people carrier by sawing the top off a Renault Espace.
I suppose the JCB thingymagig could count as a jet powered canoe but it most certainly wasn't raced.

It was most certainly a good episode, loved the car-wash scene.

 Yes it was very good. The site of James and Jez in the back of the Espace with the roof down was hilarious. The car looked strangely good too :dopey:

The CCX was just gorgeous! Sounded amazing and looked so much better than the older Koenigs.

Good ep 👍 Loving that they're back on tv.

I think it was a pyrotechnic. Especially as the camera man was still in there while the car was being ripped to shreds and smoke pouring out.

Couldn't belive the Stig messed up  Bet that's a fair bit of carbon fibre to replace.

Reckon we're looking forward to another budget episode some time this series :dopey:

There's no way the carwash really caught on fire, it would have been a stunt (just like when Jeremy Clarkson "shoots" a car with a tank in one of his videos). I don't see the point of the dog on the show (and neither do the team).

There is a budget ep, if you look at this post of mine:

That was a great episode, the CCX was a very nice car, and im glad they are going to stick a wing on it to make it more of a tamed beast, cant wait to see it back on the show. I think the car wash was a setup, but was funny none the less, and the Dog is a cool exception to the cast, atleast it isnt some looser with grey hair and big black eyebrows, namely the guy from 5th gear and gadget show.

Who, Jon Bentely? So true... He's positively useless.

Yeah, i really haven't seen it move much...

I guess it's true TG style to go for something ridiculous like that ;)

Hehe, I loved the pink Micra and the car wash. :D

I found it funny that the new presenter is the dog, too.

About the CCX. Clarkson was talking about how bio fuel would generate 900bhp while normal unleaded fuel would make like 850bhp (well something along the lines of that)... how does that work?

Also I loved the high pitched noise the CCX made when Clarkson floors the gas... man it's even better than the V-Tec mode!!

Yeh when LPG first made it onto Top Gear, Quentin Willson got a land rover converted from Desil to LPG and it produced more HP and Torque, so I guess it has soemthing to do with the way it burns, more combustive or something like that 💡

I'll have to watch it tomorrow, I was out entertaing, looking forward to it though,. TopGear tomorrow at 7, then 5th gear straight after at 8.

Jon.
Who wants crappy pictures? :D
:)
don't tell me you watch that with that purple whateveritis on all the time...

as for the ep, wow, easily one of the best ever. plenty of hilarious stuff, great kenkgoengkengkoengeegegegss, superbly fitting music.

OK boys, here is what the BBC TV listings says for next Sunday's Top Gear:

In the second show of the new series the beautiful Yorkshire Dales provide the backdrop for an epic contest between three exquisite cars - the Jaguar XK, the BMW650i and the Mercedes SL350.
