Hmmm...it's a bit of a co-incidence that the Stig's first major accident comes at the exact weekend Ide is thrown out of the Honda F1 team...

The Curse of Ide

Does anyone know what version of The Imperial March that was (20:56 - 21:28) and where one might be able to acquire it?

Here are the highlights for Ep2:

Jeremy blasts around the track in the new Corvette Z06 and despite getting from 0-175mph in one gear, and managing to keep up with a line of flames, he's none too impressed. Then, undeterred from last week's trip into the countryside, the Stig (some say...) takes the 'vette for a spin while practising his language skills.

The news this week was interrupted on more than one occasion, due to Jeremy being distracted by a nice lady standing behind him. In between this, however, they did manage to natter about a tank limo, a stolen Mercedes SLR McLaren and the new Dodge Caliber.

Richard drives a stupidly fast Tom Cat rally car in Iceland and narrowly avoids messing his pants when he hits a rock during a race with a jet-propelled kayak.

Elsewhere, Jeremy, Richard and James all go on a jolly to Brighton in a Cadillac - only it turns out not to be quite so jolly when they have to spend three hours presenting the live drivetime show on Southern Counties Radio... and end up making a hilarious hash of it.

They've tested it on ice, but now it's time to take Jaguar's new XK on a real drive and put the Great Brit through its paces on the Yorkshire Dales. The Jag is pitted against two Germans - BMW's 650i and the Mercedes SL 350.

This week's star in the Reasonably Priced Car happens to be one Gordon Ramsay. Expect the odd swear word or two.

How long before someone complains about this? ;)

It's probably the materials used in the car that he hate's, he likes the C6, and like the way the car drives he just can't stand the ugly, cheap, nasty interiors in them.

Haha, "as something to live with everyday I'd rather have bird flu."

He loves it on the track, but hates it on the road. It did beat a Ferrari 430 and a Zonda round the track though. :D

*Edit.* Tank limo! Brilliant!

Oh that was class, the best parts have to be the drive time program. While they get complained at by angry listeners, and the sports report telling May about results.

And the other good part was when The Stig could not be reared about his time lol.

GTRacer4
The Stig was faster than Nigel Mansell.

haha Stig pwnz! đź‘Ť
I loved how he just got up and left, probably off to go drive some insanely fast car.
Vette ZO6 was a beauty, and the Jag XK I agree with Clarkson, I'd prefer it over the BMW and Merc

The TopGear dog is still alive!

Not a bad episode, not a great one. The Hammond race was pointless, the comparision was weak, the Z06 was pretty good but the local radio was hilarious.

The Z06 was a nice car, but its looks are outclassed by the 575m. Which was standing by the Z06 on the track.

Was a good episode I thought, the Jag bit set to yorkshire dales scenery was really good, I remember walking there on DofE was such a pain! I love the spitfire sound it makes! that rattle and gurgle sound.

The Z06 looked good aswell... but I hate the way he says its amazing and then basically says its crap!

Nice to see the stig finally drive the Liana.....

The tomcat was cool... how or earth did hammond hit that ice..... surely he could see it comming... theres loads of land around you know!

I actaully like the looks of that Caddy in the radio bit..... pity its so expensive... dont see whats so wrong with it having bits from saab and vauxhall, they do make good cars...

vauxhall dont.

Out of the sl vs 6 series vs xk I would take the ugliest car which is the 6 series because its the fastest and cheapest. If money was no option though Id have the top of the line merc. Dont like the XK too much as its a weid version of the aston martin.

Doesn't matter as the Vette is just as good, for only a fraction of what the Ferrari cost. Don't forget that they also mentioned the 575M is being replaced by another overpriced Ferrari, which is MUCH worse looking than the Corvette.

I own a Vauxhall and its a very good car.....

I loved the end of the episode on that radio station. It really must be harder than you think. The complaints.

Yes I enjoyed this week episode, but it wasnt as funny as last weeks, The Z06 was a very nice car, I love the sound, But im not a big fan of the Jag, infact I totally hate it. The stig in the Liana was closure too, I was wondering when he was going to do a lap.
