Radio Times says that this is what the upcoming episode will be about

After lambasting caravans over the years, the team embark on a caravanning holiday in Dorset. With the help of the Totyota Formula One Team, The Stig and a very large building, the lads try to find out how fast you can drive indoors. Film star Brian Cox is the Star in the Reasonably Priced Car, plus there's test-drives for the Vauxhall VXR, Mazda 6 MPS and Mondeo ST220.

Spec....

well, Finalgear.com has usually first hand knowledge about the episodes, because top gear production team does visits there.

and found from wikipedia's bugatti trivia:

# The Veyron has finally been tested around the Top Gear track, by The Stig. It will be shown in the next episode after the world cup.

I want to see it knock over the tirewall with the force of it's passage. :)

That should be very interesting to see.. We'll get to see just how well it handles, and it should be able to hit speeds that other cars can only dream of (not including race cars).

Anyway, I can't remeber what it is on top of the lap times at the moment...
Is it still that new(er) Zonda, or did the new Koenigsegg beat it once it had been given the rear wing?

Nothing is gonna beat the CCX, not even the Veyron. I bet the Veyron is probably a pig to handle around the Top Gear track.

I personally don't, I think it should be very good, especially since Gordon Murry of all people praised the cars handling and responsivness on the track. but either way, we will see soon enough.

exactly! Actually, I'm not sure if it will beat the CCX on the TG track, but I hope so, just to shut up all the Veyron haters. Anyway, I'll enjoy to see this thing finally on the track.

I think whatever it does it will be under 1'20. It depends on the tyre's track capabilities I think. I don't know how well the standard tyre's cope with the track and if the design ujsed to cope with the speed means the tradeoff is track performance then no it won't beat the CCX, if it didn't then I don't see why it couldn't beat it.

How about a little contest between Top Gear viewers. Those who go with the CCX keeping its position, and those who think the Veyron will be crowned King of the TGTrack. Guessing L4S and Interceptor are Veyron guys. lol People who wish to join in can PM me which car they go with. (So we dont spam the thread with 1 word posts.)

CCX:

Veyron:

Yeah why not, it's nice to be optomistic, I'm not saying it with 100% certainty, but since theres no money changing hands, why not ;).

Like I said, I'm not sure, but I like the idea, so I'll stay with the Veyron. 👍

EDIT: maybe a separate thread with a poll would be better though.

Top Gear tonight is going to be cool! Jeremy will be driving the Enzo Ferrari :)

The Stig drove the F60 and got the fastest time then all the other cars :D The Enzo is now at the top of the leader board!

Jeremy said that his best supercar was the Ferrari F40!

that was ages ago....

I was just wondering there what other cars can challenge to be at the top of the board and I settled on the Caparo T1 being the ultimate choice. We already know they don't count a car unless it can be used in the real world, go over speedbumps and such, so my question is will the Caparo be considered legal on their board?

Caparo claim 0-60mph in less than 2.5 seconds and 0-100mph in less than 5 seconds (at least half a second quicker than the Veyron to 100mph if they can back up that claim). Not forgetting the Caparo weighs roughly 500 kilos (about a quarter of the Veyron) and has 500bhp (about a half of the Veyron), giving it a far superior power-to-weight ratio in comparison to the Veyron (roughly 1000 bhp/tonne compared to roughly 500 bhp/tonne). Plus it can up to 3g of braking and lateral acceleration (again, according to their claims). The question isn't whether or not it'll beat the Veyron (I'm certain it will, if they test it), but whether or not they'll allow its time to count.

I doubt the Veyron can go over speed humps so that shouldn't be included. lol Would love to see the T1 on the track with those specs.

Come again? Ofcourse it can go over speed bumps, a Ferrari Enzo can go over speed bumps. they tend not to put dedicated track day cars on the power board like the SR3, JP1, XT3 ect.

hmm looked on the sky guide to see what was happening and it said they're going on a caravanning trip to dorset, maybe we'll see the veyron on the teaser video they show at the beginning of the series.
