Unpopular Opinions - General Thread

I've been a bit vocal against Pokemon Legends Arceus across the internet for overly repetitive and dumb down boss fights that don't change, story that only gets good after the credits and roadblocks that only open with repetitive grinding and side trackinv.

A common counter argument I get is that "this is just how Action RPGs are". Can't necessarily confirm because I haven't played any other Action RPG

If this is the case and Arceus is a base standard of Action RPGs, than the unpopular opinion of mine is Action RPGs suck in general. Unless I can be proven wrong and in which case just Legends Arceus sucks

I hate the movement in recent Call of Duty games (MW 2019 and up) and how similar FPS games are trying to have the same kind of movement.

What I mean is the "Tactical Sprint", sliding/slide canceling, and the jump height. All combined makes people move so fast and it's hard for me to focus on aiming on someone.

I can't think of a single app or site whose light theme is superior.
I've never used Dark Theme for longer than a minute. It definitely has its advantages but I prefer the feel of Light Theme

The goals in women's football are too big. They're the same dimensions as in men's football but the lack of comparable average height in goalkeepers specifically really detracts from the game.

Computers are supposed to display light elements over a dark background; starting from the beginning of computing and for all time. It is the natural order.
Doesn't mean it's better to do it not as intended ;)

Bananas aren't supposed to be peeled from the Stem but most do it anyway because it's faster which faster way to eat the banana is better

I like "terrible" and over the top modifications to cars till I learn more about the car.
Bosozoku style? I hate it aestheticly but admire the work that goes into making a normal vehicle that hideous lol.

Love boso. Just not something I'd own since it's more of a show car than anything. Show cars are useless for my purposes. If I had one of those I'd be too worried about damaging the paintwork

Bosozoku is like putting effort into a vehicle just for it to deliberately look stupid. The Rat scene is so much less effort and doesn’t require a functional vehicle.

But that's what I love about Boso

Overtime. I've been liking the Ratchet & Clank storylines since the PS3 days a lot less and I don't think the stories are good anymore which I'm in the minority it seems

Issue comes with they wanted to be big on the whole lore behind the 2 main leads for the PS3 era but the characters were already well established enough with the PS2 games that "The last of their kind" and "literal Time God" can't fit, but they went with it anyway having to bend over their characters backwards. The series became more about the lore than all the characters you meet which playing back the PS2 games were the highlight of Ratchet & Clanks stories.

A Crack in Time throws in a few keywords to try and bring the PS2 games and PS3 games to try and make sense together again but it honestly feels cheap, and not like they paid attention to it when they made Rivet.

If you ask me, any Chocolate that isn't basic or chocolate chip kind isn't any good in the first place.

Standing by this. Bought some Celebrations recently and I never eat the Mars. They're always left until last then thrown out anyway.
Although i have a sweet tooth, i too also find them very sickly. There are a whole host of other similar chocolate bars (even Mars's other brands) that have a similar but different combo of ingredients/layers but for some reason a Mars Bar is just too sickly*

*i'd still eat one if push came to shove, i just wouldn't enjoy it quite as much :)

which is exactly what I have in my fridge right now.
There's just something about a cooled Kit Kat...

Well Done Ok GIF by funk

I too can't stand Mars bars. I would prefer a Snickers over a Mars bar any day, and even Snickers are too much. I always associated Mars bars with a good childhood memory even though I only had a couple growing up.

When I tried one last Halloween I questioned my own sanity 😂😂

I love chocolate yet oddly have never had a Mars bar in my life as far as I know. Unless I had one as a kid and don't remember. Kit Kats are excellent, but I can't say I've tried them cold...

I've definitely never had a Mars bar in my life either. I'm kind of picky when it comes to chocolate bars and tend to stick with the ones I like and won't even try anything else.

It was only a few years ago that I realized how much better they are when refrigerated. Especially the dark chocolate ones.

Now I have to try a Mars bar (they're usually in the "International Foods" section of some US grocery stores) to see what the fuss is all about. I enjoy trying something different, thanks to having an expense account to burn on usual food items. Otherwise, I never would have discovered how much I didn't like Marmite. Turkish delight is okay. Jammie Dodgers aren't bad. PG Tips tea is a welcome change from Lipton (anything else is).
