The GT-R's interior is nothing secret, its been all over the internet since last week.

:yuck::yuck:

One of the worst design I ever seen, the interior simply lacks cohesion and identity. As if they forgot to design it and just duct tape lumps of interior parts together from their parts bin at 11th hour.

If you take that steering out, it basically looks like what Jeep would design. That center console is the worst, It literally looks like something straight out of an Isuzu pick up. Those $2 air vents is simply classic.....

pictures never do an interior justice........ but having said that.... when i first saw those shots of the interior i wondered what they were thinking... guess it's definately different ;)

and in gt5p with the dials lit n all it does look gr8 (IMO) but each to their own and I would reserve my final judgement until i get a chance to see it in the flesh :)

I think the interieur looks gorgeous. Rough and manly. Not like those uber electronic starwars interieurs. Round dials, I like those way more than any other newish stylich digitalesqy dash you see more and more.

WOW

I must say I wasn't a big fan of the new GTR (R32 Lives on), but seeing it in black.......

HOLY CRAP that thing really is a real follow up to Nissans ultimate machine.

Sex on wheels indeed

For those that haven't seen them yet or don't have the demo here are some screen caps of the new cars!
Sorry for the quality... still waiting on my new HD TV :grumpy:

Nissan GTR
*NB don't know if it's been posted or if anyone noticed but the gauges in the centre console are working in real time and showing steering input, lateral G's, throttle, etc!!!

Saw some photos of the new Nissan GT-R in the car forum and the interior looks much nicer than I tought.

:)

If you've ever seen a GTR R34 interior... you know for a fact that this new one is a quantum leap in style and functionality.

Also good to note that the GTR is a paddle shifter.

Like I presumed the Nissan GT-R has more colors, it's always good to have more than just one color. The car looks really awesome.👍
The Subaru Impreza WRX STi will be unveiled tomorrow.:)

This is kind of cool. I didnt know how I would like the idea of cars becoming available "periodically" (I thought it would make me feel like we were handed an incomplete game [if we were speaking about gt5] and suffering through the updates to make it "complete") but I stand corrected. I find it very cool that yesterday I was racing with a prototype nissan that was covered and today I am racing with the fully unveiled car, just like it happened in real life :). Pretty cool stuff PD!!!

Why am I still at work? First sleeping and now work. God, this day sucks.

And I have plans for beer drinking with friends tonight after work. Hmm, beer or GT?

I think my brain just exploded from too much conflict.

complete with little bonnet bulge ;) sweet!! it's a worthy adversary to the evo! u actually get a bit of drift oversteer out of it now rather than the plough understeer of gt4 :)

Good lord, what a demo. That sub drives wonderfull. Nice on the limit.

And golden rims when you opt for the mica blue color :D

You do know that Impreza's natural tendency is to understeer (unless it's a Spec C with it's longer wheelbase), though I agree that the GT4 understeer was too much. Also, what I didn't like in GT4 is that when you abruptly lifted throttle the back end didn't step out much (not just Impreza, but almost all cars). Seems as this has been fixed in GT5.

well, at least all cars are available now. plus there's a new vid up at GT-TV with KAZ himself driving an evo X!!!! go check it out!!!

The impreza is a wonderful drive, the feedback when cornering is great. the little nasty tail bite when accelarating out of corners is also a great feeling. it's looks may have gone down hill for this itteration, but the handeling seems to have been improved dramatically!!! good work subaru folks!!

Yeah, it's a good car to drive. Less understeer than you would get in GT4, and the rear will step out if you push it hard through the hairpins. It's probably the best car to drive in the demo.

Mind if a Texas boy come up in here and comment away? Thanks!

--- The Newest Skyline ---
This car looks amazing from pictures I've seen. While I'm not real big on the Infiniti G35 and the subsequent soft Skyline, this is a great-looking car. Keep in mind that I'm not really a Nissan guy. I don't hate them, just not too fond of Nissan. It looks amazing in pictures. The car looks a bit low with the headlights and the grill. We all know the more muscular R34 Skyline of old. This bad boy is going to be a real treat for GT-R fans. Generalizing aside (more Skylines than any other car), this is a killer Japanese car. I still think the finer details of this car's styling could be better, like the sort of angular roof as well as the door handles. I'm sure Nissan will work them out and make it more functional in design rather than being more conceptual. Otherwise... welcome to the world, new Skyline/GT-R.

--- The New Lexus IS-F ---
Unlike G.T., I'm very fond of Lexus and the IS-F. Not because the of the lovely blue color (Exceed Blue Metallic) its concept car had, but because this was a wicked car. I even have this as a picture in my Myspace photo album from when I was at the 2007 Houston Auto Show. Lovely automobile. Also lovely to race. Perhaps an ugly detail is how the muffler is laid out at the rear. It's an unusual way to place such mufflers. Take it from a guy who seen MKIV Supra taillights on the backs of cars in unusual ways.

--- Other Noticables ---
Noticed the more upbeat music for the showroom as well as for when the race starts? A little rock music is thrown in for the starting grid. Sounds like a nice soundtrack apart from some of the lovely piano music from GTHD. I know some people may not like jazzy music in a racing game, but at least it's better than hearing an Avril Lavigne(?) song in multiple languages like in "Burnout: Domination." The future's looking bright for this 10th Anniversary of GT title.

That would be all. I'll comment on the Atenza/6 and the latest Impreza in a future post.

No rumble. But that noise is mostly done by aftermarket open down-, up- and mid pipes and end-dampers. I should know. I had one on my for a few hours. :)

I don't know about the European models, but the USDM STIs have the noise with it's stock exhaust (granted it's not as loud as aftermarket). Still, in GT4, even if you upgrade to full race exhaust you don't get the rumble. Hopefully that will change in GT5.

Cars handle very believably;it is amost unreal how good you can feel edges of grip and drivetrain even trough basic controller(without FFB).That is power chassy movement presentation. So with FFB wheel you are in GT heaven. Sounds could still be better.

From new cars lexus was bit of disappointment, but i think GT does good job of representing this vehicle.(i have not driven car for real so it might be different though)
