Update 1.03 (Released - January 14th)

If they have been reading the complaints about the games failings then that would suggest they frequent the site on a regular basis - and would have seen all the dopey threads like this one full of moans and complaints so don't you think to quash it they would have issued some form of statement be it via tweet or on the main GT website?!

Nope. I firmly believe they follow certain threads and certain users.

I've seen to many things addressed over the last two years brought about by certain leagues and users that are fixed in short order. :)

Yes it could just be coincidence. I'm not ruling that out.

However it seems foolish to think they wouldn't read these pages to obtain info about problems with in the game. After all Kaz is very pationate about the GT series and always out to improve/fix it.

The new Elise? I got that car for the One Make, and changed the wheels on it. The rear wheels literally looked like cookies! Absolutely awful  However, I was surprised that this car drove so well that it made me doubt that the tire width glitch actually affects performance.

I don't remember what year it is but it is the 111R premium model, Tires looked like what you might expect to see on the 66 Beetle

Back to the OP for a sec ...

While I'd love to see the course maker in the next patch, and I'd love to see it soon ... I don't think it will happen. PD has a habit of making elaborate teases for upcoming features, and we have nada on the course maker so far. I expect the remaining Red Bull events soon and the implementation of the GPS visualizer way before the course maker.

Which sucks ... because I basically bought the game for the GPS course maker feature.

the worst part is that the course maker was used as a selling point for GT6 on web pages. Heck Amazon (US) still has a list of the features for GT6 that aren't even a part of the game yet..

Yeah, I wasn't happy about it. The new physics are good ... aside from the nosing over and wheel issue ... so I don't mind waiting a little while. But if its at the end of the year or something, my annoyance will likely grow. I've got friends that sold the game after realizing there was no course maker.

That makes us 2.
Even though i love this game...

Talking about the course maker... Wouldn't it be possible to recreate all tracks all over the world by people just driving the course with GPS? Then uploading it, downloading by others.. ???

Because somebody was talking about the Merc's that are still missing, and then somebody decided to play the whole GT vs Forza game and bring up the January DLC. Which is £40.

No it isn't.
The pack will be available today via the usual channels, although if you’re looking to (eventually) purchase more than just one pack over the next few months the Car Pass is still the way to go. At USD$49.99/£39.99/AUD$64.95 it represents an 18 per cent discount compared with purchasing them individually.

Question: Why are we talking about Forza 5's DLC in the Update 1.03 thread?
Because like usual people need to show what FM5 does to fuel some fire over here from time to time. Sad really but the fact that FM has a set schedule of DLC on the first Tuesday of every month makes it an easy target over here. PD has no set schedule so it is always a mystery when we get something.
Funny thing is the fact that FM releases old content claiming it to be "now next gen quality" and the fanboys buy that 🤬 every time T10 mentions it.
Back on topic when the update comes I hope it has soe other fixes in it in regards to tuning. Like the tire thing and being able to see the on the fly speed changes when working with the gears.

Yeah...by the way, for those in the states, that is about $66 for a car pack...so Forza's car pack costs more than the game. Why? Turn10 has been high on their pricing sense Forza Horizon who's Season Pass was pretty much not worth buying 'cause you only pretty much got about two car packs for free with it. I do love how they just went through the whole "restructuring the in-game economy" thing and then charge that much for their DLC.

That's just...I don't know. let's just hope PD doesn't do that. And that Turn10 lowers their prices.

I don't think PD will ever feel the need to charge that much. Roughly 5-6 cars on GT5 only cost a few pounds, you could imagine T10 milking at least £10-£15 from it.

I always want more content. That's the sole reason why I play and like this franchise.

- PD advertised that for GT6 was updating all cars to be premium quality just some without interiors.

STAHP right there.

PD NEVER said anything about upgrading standards to full premium quality - they said some of the old favorites were getting the premium treatment (Countach, Cizetta, Alpine, etc.). Then they said that they would try to shorten the gap between some (meaning as many as they could get to) standard-premium cars. All they promised and advertised was that "standard" cars would be "less bad".

Alright. I'll bite.

Does it concern you that there's only 3 new cars and the rest are ports from past titles... cars that should've been there to begin with that you're paying for again? Turn10 is clearly holding back content to fill their packs.

No. Turn10 actually decided to kinda switch things up and put out higher quality cars and not include the cars from Forza 1, 2 and 3 (which is a lie. There are still cars from 2 and 3 in the line-up, but...whatever.) So, instead of going with what they usually do and just adding cars like their ugly CLK-GTR model, they are working on making them pretty again. So, I fully expect the majority of the car packs to include re-rendered versions of the old car models.

To be fair, PD did kinda the same thing. Really, this time around PD and Turn10 did some stuff the same and others the complete opposite of each other. Like they both had terrible economies at the start, however, their solutions were different with PD adding the daily bonuses and increasing payouts and Turn10 increasing payouts and lowering car prices.

To be honest, I would actually expect PD to do the same "quality over quantity" with GT7, but with an easier to develop for system, we might not lose as many cars as we think.

I'm a bit obsessive compulsive, so if I know there is a problem that shouldn't be there, that doesn't let me enjoy the car at full.

Whether you are diagnosed with OCD or show traits, or have none of it, it should not dictate your game. I wonder whether everyone who isn't having fun in GT6 has an obsessive need to modify the car they're driving.

I'm having the time of my life with the bug, it's hilarious, put it on any car I know that will have this issue. I do wish things get in order for that soon, but maybe you don't have to voice your need to see the fix ASAP for every post in this thread. Maybe as a want, but not as a howl. It is 1.03 coming soon, there has to be a fix for this.

I think the major difference here is that PD gives you the cars from the old games for free, sacrificing quality in the process, and T10 is offering the old cars in better quality, but making you pay for it. Personally I prefer PD's way of thinking, especially with T10's absolutely ridiculous DLC price. And PD will probably make some of the old cars better through updates anyways.

£39.99 is £40!
Hmmm...

Quoting a Gran Turismo fan site is like me going on here and saying, "Update 1.04 will have space shuttles" and the New York Times citing me as a factual source.

My goodness Polyphony Digital at least say something, or try to keep up with your release dates. At least say sorry, or is it the hardest word? What a sad, sad situation. Its getting more and more absurd...
I wasn`t quoting a fansite (well I did) but I was kinda quoting the OP`s link [screenshot]. So your argument goes against the thread creator, not against me. Just saying...
