I think that's nonsense. GT6 is meant to get as much money as possible from the ps3 market base before moving onto the ps4. Gt6's updates have been on track (bar the vettel events) so it seems like it's been totally planned as the game had to be finished quickly. To be honest I think they were planning to release much less updates for gt6 compared to gt5, but the fact that the game has not sold nearly as much may mean they will want to get gt6 in tip top shape so that spirits are heightened again for gt7
If there is anything we can/should be able to agree on it's that gt6 was rushed to the door...
When they wrap up the content updates for the Senna stuff that's when they will maybe put out an updated boxed version and bundle ps3's with it and come next year gt7 will be out or close too because the ps4 will have an install base big enough to support it.
With that said I really think that GT6 is being used to essentially test there capacity to doing running updates and what that costs in time and money and if it's worth while. From what I can gather gt4 didn't sell aswell as gt3 (might be totally wrong), so I'm guessing that they knew gt6 wouldn't sell aswell as gt5 so they could to some extent get away with pushing this out quickly and then using it to test there pipe line for updates so the next GT game could be viewed more as an eveolving platform than a finished game they bold dlc onto
