Update 1.03 (Released - January 14th)

I don't have a physics degree but since I go to a university preperation school I also know what a lightyear is.
I think practically anyone with a bit of knowledge about the earth and universe does...

I did watch a commercial on Discovery Channel.. So I also know what a light year is. But... Let's... Talk.. Update 1.03.... Not light years. Not vectors.. Not Need for Speed. Update 1.03 for GT6. (Oh btw, of course all of this isn't directed to you... Just.. You know, soooooo much off topic *sigh*)..

But!! With that said.. If the course maker with the GPS Tracker-thing is in the next update, I sure will go for the light year. The area I live in has so many different kinds of roads. Steep hills, narrow and wide roads, straights, turns, roundabouts.. In a few miles. I hope for the course maker to be included.

Or if the community features include a proper leaderboard (something like Forza's) I will be very happy for that to arrive soon.

Kaz likely doesn't read the big lists and what gets fixed for what update, but rather looks at the key point of the update and that would be a feature.

So if he says "2 big updates" we know online/clubs is coming... But no clue of the other... Anything else online related that was promised? Otherwise its like shooting at a barrel of already promised update that I already made a thread about...

Thanks. Having physics and engineering degrees, along with over 30 years of professional experience, I'm sorta "fully aware" of what a lighyear refers to. I already addressed the issue of why I said what I said in a post to another grammar cop a page or so back. Can we just stay on topic instead of dragging out this stupid lightyear subtext?

That would be a really bad strategy. They're already known for not keeping deadlines. How would it look if they also start getting known for false advertising? Those features were all promised before the release. They were more or less factors in making the decision of buying the game. If they don't keep their promises about future features, it's very bad business. I will not buy GT7, if we don't get what was promised for GT6.

I don't know. You tell me. I can't remember any promised feature, that was promised to used in the exact moment of us buying the game, that they didn't keep. If you know what I mean.

Maybe they have talked about features before the release of the game, that were not included in the game. But not before, on AND after the release. At least not that I remember.

Not specific release dates.. But "This feature will be added in a future update" is a promise. And if they never add that feature to the game, they have not kept that promise.

I was talking about the Vettel events haha. Sorry I got confused in my own thread, I recently made a post called `Sebastian Vettel Events` but it got closed and got confused with this one. But I`m still annoyed anyway that the other X1 events aren't unlocked yet. I was really looking forward to them.

I'm already of the relatively firm mindset that GT 6 and all future updates are a precursor to GT 7. There are just too many tell tale signs...

And I'm ok with that assuming my Fanatec gear still works on ps4 and it shaves away at GT 7 development time. And still get robust enough updates for GT 6 to be fresh... But I'm not counting on tech updates like 3D... That's pure overhead :/

GT 7 will be a gigantic "turn on all the bells are whistles" and we can only hope they up the "gameplay" side of things...

To be honest I think they were planning to release much less updates for gt6 compared to gt5, but the fact that the game has not sold nearly as much may mean they will want to get gt6 in tip top shape so that spirits are heightened again for gt7

I have little doubt that by the time GT7 comes out GT6 will be a "GT7 lite" as far as features go. As far as things like the Course maker go I'm confident that GT7 will just have more robust versions of what we'll get in GT6. What other changes we'll see is up in the air though.

I don't buy the earning money thing now that they've added the big payouts back into the Seasonals. I've got 12 million credits now and almost all of that comes from completing gold on 4-5 of those seasonal events. A gold trophy nets you over 2 million on one event.

Why would you "not buy the earning money thing now" ? 12 million is a drop in the bucket, I've spent more than that already in a single shopping spree and close to that a few times already back up to about 10 mil now but if I had Bob available he would be running the 24 minute Nurburgring race right now to add another 600k to that total and he would be doing this a lot whenever I go to eat, watch tv, leave the house or just want to take a break from playing before long he would have earned me several million credits and helped me to buy a lot more cars.

Now of course I intend to buy all the cars so that is a lot of credits, I also intend to tune a large number of them and will probably buy 2 or 3 of some of the cars I like best so having bob chip in 1/2 mil here and there will help a great deal.

So while B-Spec is not at the top of my list at the moment I will be happy to see it when ever it is ready and I surely do not want them to withhold it until they do something else that is unrelated.

I agree that the focus should certainly be on GT6 but I don't think it will be that long before we start to see news for the next game.

2 big updates to me (and I think this is correct) means two large updates i.e. 1.03 and 1.04 both of which will likely be near or over a gig in size and likely separated by a 2-3 weeks. The second one is not definite though as he said 1 maybe 2 big updates in January.

In the programming world it doesn't matter if the update adds 1 minor feature or 1 thousand if it is in the form of a single large file then it is 1 big update.

People are clamoring the same thing about this sound update as well. I of course want it and am eagerly awaiting it, but the same issue is here. Kazunori and PD mentioned about adding a sound engine post release, but its just a maybe. Now that is speculation, whats here is a promised update and inclusion of features. Now I'm positive they will add the features in time but not fast enough to appease people.
