Yeah, I also expect an update in March sometime to coincide with Sebring. We'll see though.

It was purely wishful thinking by fans. IT does keep cropping up though. No one has officially announced any VGT plans for Detroit. But, Mercedes didn't announce their plans, either. However there are rumors of Toyota's Supra successor being their VGT car, VW might unveil their Scirocco GTI VGT car, Subaru is also rumored to have their VGT car there, as well. But really, there has been nothing official. I was mainly making light of all the rumors.

You bringing up FACTUAL info from a less than credible sources, being called out on it, taking it back and discrediting it yourself, and then a few days later bringing it all back again followed by some tangent filled wishy washy drivel as to how it all ties into something that is somewhat relevant to the topic at hand.

Trouble is they weren't GTPlanet originating rumours. They were found on other websites.

They all originated from one site, that as far as I saw had no credibility and only wanted hits. First they posted months old pictures as breaking news then they speculated about updates or VGT cars simply because AUTO SHOW=GT news.

Not my fault if people take it a factual information. If they had been paying attention they'd know that nothing has been confirmed and that I was making a joke. Until Jordon creates a "jk" tag, then you'll just have to take everything you read with a grain of salt.

Based really on nothing. I never said it was based on anything. However, it would make sense to have big updates around major motor events like Detroit and Daytona and Sebring.

I really am trying to be better about posting falsified information. I actually went out to the internets and tried to confirm any of the rumors and couldn't. I knew 100% that no car make has posted ANYTHING about a VGT car at Detroit. Perhaps, for "sensitive ears" I should have worded it differently, like "Nerd 1", "Nerd 2", etc...instead of "Toyota", "Subaru" but really, I was making a joke. I don't ever intend to post false information. When I do, it's either because the information that I have is false or, like this time, I was making a joke in reference to all the rumors that have been sprouting up ever since the first of the year.

And if I cry...maybe...just maybe if people would stop throwing stones and actually give me....I don't know...CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, then perhaps I wouldn't have to bring it up every time someone "corrects" me. And by "correct" I mean, "No, you idiot! That's not right, stupid! Why are you so stupid!"

Why are you still going on about this after you were told by a member of the staff to knock it off. I come here to read about actual news about this update, not your so called "jokes"

I myself have not heard or read anything pertaining to GT6 in regards with any of the auto shows as far as any updates go. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I'm going with next Thursday and I will now demonstrate my flawless logic (well, my flawless guesswork anyway!):

The current seasonal events expire the 16th/17th (next Thursday/Friday). The natural assumption would be that we will get new seasonals to replace them and it would make sense to introduce content then rather than having a seasonal update then a game update. I probably am wrong but, in the unlikely event that I am right, I reserve the right to feel smug and clairvoyant

Detroit is called the Motor City for a reason. We practically invented automobile manufacturing. Henry Ford invented the assembly line here. The biggest car company in the world is a few hundred feet away from the NAIAS. Most major car companies have their North American HQ in the Detroit area. Most car fans recognize Detroit as the car Mecca of the world. If it weren't for Detroit, the world would be a completely different place...and not for the better. Shall I go on?

None of which makes the detroit show the most important in the world, If you ask the average car fan in europe to name a motor show the Detroit motorshow will not be the one they name, So yes you can go on about things which dont make the detroit show the most important in the world if you like.
