So glad all the bugs will be fixed right after I finish the incredibly short and ridiculously easy "career" mode.
Why they don't extend the actual "game" part of the game with DLC is beyond me. Give me a reason to buy the cars and tracks DLC besides MP.
Same problem with GT5.. Seasonal don't count because they are boring and predictable .. I just wish they would extend A-spec in this one.

If they didn't need a reasonably sized update to add it into the game, they would've just unlocked the content on the 1st. The notification that one update would arrive to fix the date issue, then the news that the event would be available at the end of the month ties in with the statement that there would be two updates in January. You could speculate that because the event couldn't just be 'unlocked', that some extra content not already in the game is on the way and included in the event. There was a statement that they were aiming to release one new track a month after release, after all.

If they had the content ready, they would've unlocked it a couple days ago instead of telling us the date was a mistake and telling us to wait a month.
Either way, unless 1.02 already included the x2014 standard and Fan cars, they'll need a big update which includes both cars.

Yeah I know, it's one of the things giving me a small amount of hope that PD will extend A-spec (or career) mode this time.. and give me a reason to buy their DLC. I'm not a huge fan of GT MP... been spoiled by much better MP sims on PC going back years.
That seems really obvious since the concept art in toyotas vgt page looks pretty much exactly like a supra(updated for 2014.)

Not attacking but just curious, if the game is to short and to easy and the seasonals don't offer a challenge then WHY play the game let alone buy GT6 or post on a forum about future updates that may not be promising?
Here is a good reason to buy DLC: ya like what's offered and want to drive it or drive on it. Take the Aventador in GT5. It's was cool, loud, shinny and a Lambo. I didn't need a practical application for it like it was necissary for some specific purpose.
As for this 1.03 update this is all I have to say:
PD is FAILING every day that goes by that they don't release an update. Their reputation as a company gets lessened as well. It's the same "hurry up and wait" nonsense that delayed GT 5 for six years. I will be happy if a true update comes this week - not some seasonal and unlock something. But I'm not counting on it nor do I count on two updates this month.
Yes I very much hope I'm wrong but given the unreliability of PD and their complete lack of ability to keep their word or stick to a
schedule I don't think I will be wrong.

Six years?! I'm sure GT4 came out in 2004/5 (region specific), the PS3 then came out in 2007 and GT5 prologue came out late 2007/early 2008. GT5 was finaly released in November 2010 so that gives a realistic time frame of a 2 year delay, maximum. Yeah sure, we all know it was delayed but 6 years???!!! Hmmm.

Nobody at Polyphony ever said that update 1.03 was supposed to be out by now. It really is only the next Red Bull events that were supposed to be unlocked on January 1, people took that to mean the next update and it snowballed from there. Polyphony have already explained that the date was incorrect and they apologised for misleading gamers. But the update itself hasn't been delayed and anyone who says otherwise is wrong.
Jesus, have we been that spoiled by Polyphony's running updates? It hasn't even been a month since the last update and we're already going nuts, talking about PD failing this and PD lazy that. We had two weeks straight of continuous updates and free cars, so now there's downtime. What, Polyphony employees can't have a break? They're a company, not a community service.

Very selfish and "me" thing to say. You have no right to make such dubious demands towards constant daily updates.
This raised my eyebrows though
What exactly is their schedule? You must know otherwise you wouldn't have said anything and what have they promised? Most of the stuff comes from rumors from Chinese whispers.
