Not only has no date been announced for the update, no update has been announced - so where are you getting this information?
As above, what schedule? There is no v1.03 update scheduled, nor even announced and though it's inevitable there will be one before long, nobody outside PD knows when or what's in it.
They did.
v1.00 contains no Red Bull events, no National B Freshman Cup, no National A Gornergrat League and no International B Midnight Racers. v1.01 brought 9 extra races to the career mode structure and v1.02 added the Red Bull events, currently standing at 9 more races but without the star awards the rest of the career mode contains.

As Famine stated, we can have a 2.0 uptade or 1.02.1 one.
Could be minor bug fixes or a massive update that would overhaul completely the whole game.

No I want two things that I don't think are unreasonable from a company that asks me to spend money on their product:
1. They release their game complete and on time. Not near release betaware with promises of the complete game later. PD didn't ask me to pay 1/3 of the total price of their game and have me promis to give them the other 2/3 of the price at a later date so they should have released a complete product.
2. I would like PD to stand by what they say and not give some half a** excuse of "oh we made a mistake when we gave that time frame. Our bad." This is multi million dollar company we buy from, not some cottage industry hobbiest. A company like PD should stick to its commitments.

Either way whatever PD does with this 1.03 update its surely going to set a ground basis for upcoming "smaller" and larger updates to come. i expect a couple new career races, hopefully a new GT vision car, and the rest of the Redbull Challenges, as well as some bug fixes online and offline.
Whatever PD does is going to be good with this update...just be patient people....

I think you're right. The coming updates will be great. As far as patience goes, what choice do any of us have?
My beef isn't with the content of the release - yet. My problem is with PDs continual ineptitude and broken promises when it comes to release dates. Look, I this was a one time deal I wouldn't be irritated but it's not. It's a pattern that started with he release of GT5 and continues on through today

You're about a decade wrong. GT2 was the first game to be affected by a release delay, pushing it back a week from the originally announced launch date. GT3 and 4 were both delayed from original launch dates - GT4 quite a bit - and GT5 was, like GT2, a few days off its original schedule due to missing a disk factory deadline. GT6 was released on the day it was first announced it was going to be released, so it doesn't continue the pattern at all. In fact if you lived in the Middle East, it was released a week early.
There have been no delays in software updates in GT5 or GT6 to my knowledge. There is no delay to v1.03 because it hadn't been announced - until literally 20 minutes ago.

Could we take it easy on the Detroit bashing please. I happen to live here and am very proud to say that. Although not a perfect city, we have been through a lot here and have managed to rise from the ashes. Detroit is a much better city than it used to be and I am proud of the progress that we have made from the past. There are a few things I am passionate about, and Detroit happens to be one of them.

Apparently knee jerk reactions are much more fun and entertaining than reading comprehension and legitimate replies.
Let me now reply in a kind, gentle and soothing tone as befitting the audience of this reply.
Nobody wants or expects daily updates to GT6. Instead, every day in this month of January in the year of our Lord 2014 that passes without the announced update (or two if PD is to be believed) from PD, the company known as Pollyphony Digital FAILS as a company.
Perhaps fail is to vague a word. Let's say it shows gross incompetence of the management of PD.
As for rumors two announcements from PD to expect two updates in January don't count as rumors.
And PD is a Japanese company not a Chinese company. Someone might think it racist to confuse Japanese people with Chinese people.

Where was the second update oficially announced? I only saw the 1.03 update announced.
