Update 1.03 (Released - January 14th)

Well, uhh ummmm ehhh, proof?

Look at your calendar, although I might be a day off due to time zones, and what else would PD be doing if they aren't working towards something. I mean it is their job as a game company, so they do a 9-5 except in games, its not like when they release a game, they take a months long vacation.

update coming 28Jay(Wed) i'm sure, we have to wait and see

Mate no offense, but you are the one who created a thread and posted a link about the update coming Jan. 28th and the link itself had absolutely zero relation to what the thread was about, which eventually got locked.

I'm just curious about why you think it would be the 28th though.

just wait my friend...

M4 seasonal ends tomorrow at 4 AM - get hyped. Get excited and convince yourself you'll get it tomorrow only to be brutally deluded when it doesn't come. đź‘Ť

Estimated chance of the update - 3 potatoes. (baked)
Thankyou for reminding me! About to go do it!

You guys do know there's a message in the news section of GT6 dont you? (in the actual game menu)

They apologise for the delay and the event/update will be available at the end of January.

We've been over this a couple days ago.

The redbull updates have nothing to do with 1.03, read it again.

Or, go back and read the thread.

Thats weird... I'm sure thread title implied Red Bull event.

As far as I'm aware the 1.03 update never had a set date?

1st January events are late of course. Message eluding to this in GT6 game menu.

Haven't read 27 pages of thread. I can wait, just spreading my limited knowledge.

The exterior models for the VGT cars are probably already in a release-ready condition; of course they may require some adjustments, as shown by the difference between the AMG VGT we saw in the related trailer and the one we got in game (which looks like the concept car Mercedes presented).

Do you remember the "Vision Gran Turismo" trailer from a few months back? It had a shot of the Valencia City of Arts and Sciences photo-mode location with all the VGT cars under blue covers. If you look, you can see clearly defined and different body shapes under the covers, suggesting perhaps that the bodies were completed (or at the very least worked on to some extent) well before GT6 actually released.

OR...PD used placedholders.

Problem is? Since there's suppose to be two, when's the other, the 29th?
It was mentioned that there may be 2 big updates in Jan so I would not say there is supposed to be two or will be two but I am hoping that there are. They did say we will get at least one big update in Jan and may get 2. They also said we would get 1 a month up through may and some things they were working on they could not tell us about yet.

What do you guys realistically expect from the upcoming update?
I can only see the Red Bull X2014 / Red Bull remaining events enabled, a new Vision GT car, and some of the many bugs being fixed, but im not too optimistic.

If you read between the lines of the information in the news section then there will be one at the end of January when the RB stage will be unlocked and one earlier.

The earlier one will change the 1st January 2014 notice that comes up as part of the scheduled update. It will then read end of Jan or whatever.

To me that's 2 updates. How big they will be, then we will have to wait and see. I would think we will get the first around the 16th when the 3 TT's end.

I could well be wrong and I have to admit it ...... It wouldn't be the first time :).

Even then, they may have been changed abit since then. Recall the Mercedes VGT was shown with a big stationary wing but in-game, its shown with the same small movable wing the real car has.

Thats supposedly mb vgt race car
If you look at the patches history for gt5 you can see both first years we had one around 17-20dec and another around 3rd week in jan.
I hope for our monthly track, vgts, vette z06, m4 interior, and hopefully some refinements, in a light, less than 10gb update

All the big bugs to be fixed or at least addressed.

Not necessarily. RB events don't need a a MAJOR update to be unlocked.

Very much both of these things.

We talk a lot about PD being out of touch but in reality (and with GT5 at least) many of the major bugs were fixed over time. I expect many of our current issues to be resolved.

And also I agree about the RB events.
